The year is 3953BBY
It is a dark time for the old republic. The Jedi Order has fallen, and the few remaining Jedi scattered across the galaxy have fled into self imposed exile, ever hunted by the relentless Sith Triumvirate. The sudden disappearance of the Jedi from the galactic stage has allowed the criminal syndicates to prosper, no longer restrained by the fear of the Jedi Order, and the Exchange has quickly grown to become the largest criminal operation. With footholds on Taris, Nar Shaddaa and Tatooine to name but a few, the Exchange is responsible for all conceivable forms of profitable crime. Slave trading, weapons trafficking, bounty hunting, smuggling, extortion and more.
The Sith Triumvirate, an uneasy alliance between the last three known sith lords, has resorted to a brutally effective shadow campaign against the republic. No longer being capable of waging open warfare against the galactic republic, the sith lords Traya, Nihilus and Sion instead conduct themselves in the shadows, orchestrating conflicts to cripple the republic from within. All the while, vicious Sith Assassins spread throughout the stars in the search for the last remaining Jedi, seeking to destroy the order once and for all.
You are not a Jedi or a Sith, however. Caught in the middle of their schemes and wars, you simply try to survive the unforgiving galaxy as best you can. It was this struggle for survival that led you to the Smuggler's Moon, Nar Shaddaa. The moon is currently in the midst of a violent struggle for territory and influence between the Hutt Cartel and the Exchange. Whether you arrived seeking work, or were a part of the arriving refugees, your fate on the moon quickly took a turn for the worse after your arrival. To ensure a near limitless supply of fresh recruits, the Enclave has recently seized the refugee sector on the moon, home to millions of displaced refugees without a home, and without hope. Whatever your purpose for being in the refugee sector, you found yourself trapped after the Exchange brutally seized control, tearing apart families and forcefully 'volunteering' refugees for service when manpower is needed.
Now, caught in the midst of another struggle, you must put your skills to use once again. For while you are by no means a hero, you are a survivor.
Hey folks!
In this roleplay we will explore the often unseen criminal underbelly across multiple planets, and while our story begins on Nar Shaddaa, it will not end there. Expect to visit well-known planets and locations from the movies, and some lesser known systems too as our characters make their way through an harsh galaxy. We'll explore the consequences of the war between the Jedi and the Sith, a subject rarely touched upon in the films. Maybe your character supports one order, or perhaps views them both as being as bad as each other. Either way, their constant wars have left the galaxy reeling and allowed for violence and lawlessness to prosper. It is because of their wars that our characters find themselves in the situation they are currently in.
Character development, and the relationships our characters have with one another, will be central to this roleplay.
Choice will be a major feature of this roleplay, and there will be a large deal of freedom and flexibility in the story. While I do have general plot-lines planned, these will serve more as inspiration for the journey our characters embark on, and no fate is pre-determined. Whatever the choices our characters make, the initial story-line on Nar Shaddaa will mark only the beginning of their journey. Across the galaxy, you can expect encounters with the Hutt Cartels, Exchange, the Galactic Republic, Sith Assassins, corrupt politicians, innocent victims and perhaps even a Jedi. Though I do emphasise, this story is not about the heroic deeds of the exemplary Jedi, but it is instead about a group of morally ambiguous characters trying their best to do right by themselves, and survive. Remeber, though, actions do have consequences and characters can die, so please keep that in mind!
Below you will find the introductory details of the first story-line, or act, that our band of scoundrels will follow. Please do read it before creating your character, as it contains some information that will be important for their recent histories!
The code for the character sheet is above. Simply copy and paste! Do not post your character in the 'Characters' tab until they have been accepted, please!

- Typical rules of the guild apply. This roleplay may feature some mature content, so please behave appropriately.
- Keep things civil in the OOC. We can work conflicts out through PMs or over discord should they arise. The group discord is available at that link.
- I'm aiming for this to be a relaxed, low-stress endeavor. I am not going to bring in a rule enforcing a minimum set of posts per week, but ask only that you remain reasonably active and committed to taking the roleplay forward.
- This roleplay is a high casual-advanced standard, though I am not going to impose any minimum lengths for posts. I only ask that you do your best to bring the world around your character to life through your posts as we create this story together. Remember, this roleplay is about the development of our characters. How will their experiences change them? Use your common sense and experience for writing at these standards, and we'll have no problems!
- Allow for other writers to post after your own to allow for interaction between the group. Collaboration through titan-pad, gdocs, discord, or whatever method your prefer, is strongly encouraged and will be a necessity of this roleplay.
- Characters in this roleplay can die. Our characters will be skilled, yes, but going up against twenty armed thugs alone, for example, isn't likely to end well. We aren't Jedi! That said, characters will not be killed without discussion with the writer, and they will not be written out without solid reason.
- When it comes to the size of the group, I'm looking for about 5-6 players at most. I feel a small group would work better for this type of roleplay, so the applications will not be on a first come first serve basis.
- Lastly! As long as common sense prevails, we'll all have a great time.
