Ouran High School Host Club!

A New Start

It wasn't too long ago that the Host Club at Ouran Academy had come to fruition. The club founder, Tamaki Suo had already graduated along with the other original Hosts. The demand for the organization to carry on its legacy was outstanding. Former customers had told younger students about the handsome boys, the fine dining experience, and the scandalously delicious situations that would happen on a day to day basis. This caused Tamaki to seek out a successor so that the Host Club could carry on its reputation even though he would no longer be apart of it. There would be a slight change in plan however. Hiding Haruhi's true identity had been such a hassle in the past. She was secretly a female portraying a male Host member. To make sure this problem did not arise again in the future, Tamaki changed the rules from MALE club members serving FEMALE clients, to simply all members serving all clients. From now on, the club would not discriminate against something as unimportant as gender.

His successor demonstrated the new situation perfectly. The new leader of the Host Club was none other than a third year who had been attending Ouran Academy all her life. She did not believe in the social constructs that society had divided amongst men and women.

A few years back..

"Zu-Zu Senpai! Hang on a second!"
Tamaki shouted as he pushed his way through a crowd of students clamoring to their next class.

The red head turned, eyes wide as she heard her name. Her lips curled up into an amused smile as she watched Tamaki trip over a textbook someone had dropped. This did not seem to phase him, he was a man on a mission. Not even taking the time to stand, he half crawled/half ran over to where Azura Lunarie had been standing.

"Um... Hello Senpai."
Azura giggled while attempting to cover her smile. She watched Tamaki take deep, heavy breaths all while holding his knees as he attempted to stand.
"Did you have a nice trip?"

As if he hadn't heard her comment, the dashing blonde completely ignored the remark and in no time was standing tall. Proud even. He straightened his tie and took a moment to make sure his hair was in order. Then, quick as you could blink, his hands were on either of her shoulders as he made eye contact.

"Zu-Zu Senpai! I'm graduating in a few months!"
Tamaki told her with a seriously grim expression.

Azura tilted her head to the side with her eyebrows raised. Throwing her arms out, she made an invisible banner with her hands to demonstrate a headline.
"Wow! Newsflash!" She chuckled, returning Tamaki's gaze.

"This is serious!:
Tamaki snapped, his expression never faltering.
"All the Host members will be graduating, or have graduated!"

This was true, due to the fact that the younger members; Haruhi, Hikaru, and Kauru, had all skipped ahead a year due to their phenomenal grades.

Azura's face twisted in confusion as she took a moment to process what he was saying.
"So what do you want me to do about it?"

Tamaki shook his head with an exasperated sigh. As if she should know immediately where he was going with this conversation. He took a moment to pose so that sparkles magically appeared all around his form. He leaned forward excitedly presenting a short list of student names. A few Azura recognized.
Names of the new future Hosts.

"I need you to carry on my legacy!" He sang.
"The Host Club will not die with me! I refuse!"

Present

It was now the beginning of a new year. A new era.
Fall had come, meaning that all the students of Ouran Academy were now heading back to their dorm rooms in Japan to begin their new semester.
That also meant that the second generation of Host Club members were about to begin their new adventure.

|Personality|: Amanda has a very outgoing and loud personality – she loves to talk, to laugh, to have fun. She’s also very big into her cosplay and will act the role she’s playing exactly. She considers it a very important part of herself. Once she has finished school, she plans to follow in her fathers footsteps and serve in the navy. When she’s not acting a role out, she is extremely flirty, and has no issue with flaunting her attractive body.

Her favourite season is summer, and she loves to go swimming anywhere. She’d stay in a swimsuit all day if she could.

|Biography|: Amanda has lived a very interesting life. Her father is part of the navy, and she has a love of both sailing and the ocean from him. Many times she would watch her father sail away with awe in her young eyes, dreaming of the day that she’d get to do what he does. The rest of her childhood was rather plain in comparison – she had a few friends, more often boys than girls, a real tomboy in her younger days. Most of her friends from when she was younger are gone now, the families having moved to a different base of operations or through retirement have moved from the area. While she misses them, she always looks to the future

It was also from the navy, and the father famous uniforms, that she got her love for cosplay. She was always trying on different clothes at shops, none of which her parents would have picked for a little girl, and she pretended to be whatever she tried on; whether it was a sailor, a cowgirl, or even when she found a silly little nurses uniform and pretended to play doctors and nurses with one of her then friends. This love of cosplay has remained today, and she owns many different outfits.

Amanda must travel further than most to get to school each day, but her parents had insisted that she attend this specific school. Once she had enrolled, and found out about the host club, it all made sense. It was a club made for her – everything was perfect! She was determined to be the very best host ever, no matter what the customer wanted.

Due to an incident that happened as a child, she has a phobia of dogs.

In order to accept your character, I ask that just one change be made.
As far as the "Role" goes, it is supposed to reflect your personality.
While my character is the typical hot/cold, boy/girl, sweet/sassy persona. I put as her role the Girl-Next-Door or Tomboy type.

I have no problem with the cosplay side of your character. (In fact she reminds me a lot of Renge which is really cool) But I would rather have your role describing your characters personality summary. (ex. Cool type, Boy lolita, Princely, Bookworm, Mischievous, etc.)

Let me know when you have made this change :) then I could probably accept your character.

Appearance; Akiko is a petite female. Her skin is soft and as pretty as a porcelain doll. Not particularly winning in the curves department, she has a small chest yet her rear is her second best quality. She has a small button nose and light freckles over the bridge of her nose reaching out across her cheeks. She has soft, plump pinkish lips that always wears a smile. Her pastel hair is long wavy always usually down with her bangs pinned up to show off her pretty face. With being a noble, she cares not for regular clothing, always found in a traditional priestess outfit, or traditional kimono clothing. Along her back are scars from her childhood of an abusive alcoholic father and an uncaring mother.

Personality; Akiko is quite the odd female. Despite always smiling and being warm, she is rather shy towards others. Being a noble has never gotten to the females head for she never cared much for her titlement and has even been known to act like a commoner. Many have rumored the Blackcross bloodline as cruel and harmful but Nymph is the physical embodiment of that being the exact opposite. With a love for water, the female is almost always found swimming in the pools. She has a warm heart and innocent soul, Unfortunately due to being so frail and weak, Akiko has been known to get sick easily

At times she can act very childish and often times comes off as a spoiled brat, but it is only when she finds that she is being ignored or doesn't seem to be cared about at the moment. Despite that, she is a sweetheart who loves to make others smile and feel happy. She is always the shoulder to cry on when someone else is upset, yet she doesn't know how to worry about her own wellbeing either and this often results in her bottling up her emotions. There are rare times when Akiko can be very hot headed and short tempered, she will say things she particularly doesn't mean at the moment but will always immediately begin to cry and apologize.

Growing up, Akiko was always well off with a family that never had to worry about money or making ends meet, however that didn't mean that everything was fine and dandy in her personal life at home. Her father was never home, usually out working super late or drinking, but she wasn't stupid, she knew he was having an affair from the moment he started coming home late smelling like perfume. She still had no clue why her mother had yet to say anything to him about it.

Her mother was doing the same however, having an affair, going out on dates whenever she knew her husband would be home late. They argued so much that Akiko couldn't remember a time where things where happy anymore. She then got into the host club and everything seemed like it was going to get all better and things would be great again. That changed when her parents divorced and split up. At the time they didn't want Akiko around for this until they figured something out, so she was sent away to live with her grandparents. Away from her fighting parents. .and away from the host club for a whole year.

Now Akiko is back and better than ever. Her father still remains living here in the city and that means that Akiko is still able to attend the school she's always loved and adored, and that means she is now back to remain in he host club for three more years,including this for the three of course, and she plans to take full advantage of it. With her adorable ways and sweet pouty smile, she plans to make everyone's time here at the host club, happy and rememberable.

Not really sure what his type should be but here is my character.

|Personality|: Al works to please everyone, he is easy to please and hard to anger. He chooses to kill people with kindness rather than bite people’s heads off. He is a gentle soul who feels for other’s pain and enjoys helping those in need. Al also has a tendency to flirt with pretty much any human, so long as they are a genuinely good person, though he isn’t as smooth as most would think he would be. He often ends up stumbling over his lines and embarrassing himself, which only seems to add to his charm.

|Biography|: Anchor grew up the youngest of 3 in a wealthy family, his mother, a fashion designer and his father a music producer. The boy was born in the U.S.A in the state of California when his mother and father were both there on business. He, being the youngest was not groomed to take over his father’s business, that privilege was given to the eldest son Ocean, and thus gained an interest in his mother’s work, as well as his older sister Lily. It was clear by the time he entered middle school that Anchor had an eye for fashion. He had passed his sister in terms of creativity and design thus turning the girl toward modeling her brother's designs. As he entered high school his mother began helping him get his designs into the world and with a little shove, people began to see his work, though he used the name Malcolm Conroy instead of his own so he wasn’t swarmed in school. He designs both male and female lines and can often be seen wearing his own work outside of school.

Al was never had outstanding grades in school, sure they weren't bad but they certainly weren't good. He is generally average in most classes, excluding two, art and music, for obvious reasons. Though Anchor was not taught to take over the business he still had a good ear and had a rather decent voice himself. Though he does rather favor the violin, at this he excels, enough to be first chair in his orchestra, though he doesn't play much outside of it. In art he excels in drawing people especially, though he isn't very good at much else.

From a young age Anchor was rather good at making friends. In his early years, before middle school, he was usually surrounded by many different types of people. Though this changed toward the end of middle school, when he finally came out as pansexual. People began to avoid him then and he often heard the whispered ridicules of his fellow classmates. For a while this discouraged the boy, and he was, more often than not, seen alone. Though he did have a small group of friends. Toward the middle of his first year in high school the whispers stopped and people seemed to have gotten over him coming out. Though he chose to surround himself with slightly less people and really only had a small group of true friends, everything returned to how it was before and Anchor became his usual bubbly, friendly self once more.

I don't seem to understand what you mean by he doesn't have a definitive personality. Not all hosts have to have some sort of weird quirk Haruhi was the most normal of them and she (aside from pretending to be a guy) had no strange personality quirk like the others that drew the ladies to her. Al is outgoing and Kind, he would be perceived as a natural or maybe brotherly type in my eyes. Please tell me what I can do to fix his personality to fit your standards while still keeping it in tune with what I want for him.

I will revise his Biography later today if I can, there is a hurricane predicted to blow through my area so I do not know if the weather will permit me to use the internet much longer. I have to think of other things to add to his bio.

|Personality|: Dimitri comes off as an intimidating character as he, more often than not, towers over most people in the vicinity. He is silent when not spoken to so it gives off the vibe that he's an introvert or some sort of brooding type. However, when spoken to, he is actually quite a nice guy. He would often sport a smile and talk about whatever someone is interested in. He is the type of guy to reflect conversations and avoid topics that are personal - more often than not, he expresses unusual interest to the other person when they try to ask something about himself. Unexpectedly, he's quite sensitive and would often encourage his customers to tell him about their problems.

When not requested for a time, he would go around helping people but still keeps silent. He is often hailed as an errand boy as he has no qualms against being ordered around. He also is a hard worker and doesn't shy away from tedious work, so he ended up with helping to maintain finances and balance their costs. He has a good head on his shoulders and an excellent understanding of money. He is very loyal to Azura. Dimitri has shown that he would go above and beyond for his friends. This, of course, includes anyone in the Host Club. Of course, this also extends to the customers as he assures them that if someone decides to get violent or bully them, he would step up. In the case that there is fighting within their ranks, he would look to Azura for how he will stop it.

He's a hard guy to anger but once you do, you better watch out. His build isn't just for intimidation. He was often called a beast when he wishes to scare someone out of their wits. It takes a lot of effort to get him to calm down again but he tends to make grudges. He doesn't easily forgive unless he has a good reason too. One way to convince him to trust you again is to have a sort of heart to heart talk with him. He can be a little socially awkward hence the reason why he doesn't talk about himself as he feels that he would bore them and they wouldn't come back.

|Biography|: Dimitri was born in Russia but his parents moved to Japan by the time he was three so he doesn't remember much about his mother land. He gathered that his father had to move to Japan after a series of circumstances surrounding his job that then ended with his father taking over the company branch in Japan, which then led to the rise of money for the Volkova famiy. Naturally, Dimitri then grew up with a silver spoon. Anything he wanted was given to him but his parents ingrained the lesson of being humble into him when he was young so he learned how to take a 'no' from his parents and from other people and so he didn't grow up spoiled.

He grew up pretty fast and thus, already towered over his peers. Most people hesitate to talk to him because of this and he ended up with only a few friends. Evidently, it caused him to have trouble actually making friends instead of mere acquaintances. But he wouldn't say that he didn't enjoy his childhood. His few friends were very close and more than happy to make his life a good one even with the few numbers. He also has a little sister, younger by four years. She would usually tag along when the group goes somewhere. She was half the reason why he enjoyed his childhood, up to now really. The two shared a very close bond and whenever they are together, they tend to stick together.

Upon choosing for a high school, his parents decided to send him to Ouran Highschool where they hope that he will be able to make more friends there. Unfortunately, Dimitri didn't fit in as quickly as they expected. Without his old friends, he was at a lost. As he drifted in his first year, he stumbled upon the host club. Originally with no purpose, he asked around about them. He didn't understand much about it and soon it was at the back of his mind. At the end of his first year, he joined the Kendo Club and showed a lot of promise for this.

He continued on and then he heard the rumor that there was another 'King' as Tamaki Suoh had graduated along with everyone else. Curious, he visited once more and was pleasantly surprised that it now accommodated everyone. He joined the host club after a talk with Azura. He was also seeking help to make friends and what better than to, er, 'flirt' with them to get to know them better. While he has been able to garner friends in the Kendo Club, he still wanted to meet more. So far, it's been working and people hasn't tried to shut him out yet so he was pleased with this and decided to continue being part of the club. He feels like he owes a lot to Azura for letting him in, and the other hosts and hostesses for bearing with him.

Due to his past, he has a high tolerance for alcohol.

|Personality|: Kichiro is a shy and awkward boy who doesn't really know how to interact with others. He's passionate about things he likes, and is actually pretty creative. A whiz at homework, he is very willing to help and share his answers. He is very self-conscious about his ability to articulate, as he gets very anxious. In order to remedy this, he believes being a host will give him the confidence he needs.

|Biography|: As the fifth born child and the only boy, Kichiro was either outcasted or overly doted on by his siblings, as each of them had their favorite sister, and he was the baby brother. He was not exposed often to sports, though he did excel in school. His father never was very present in his life, and at the age of 11, his parents divorced. All of his sisters left with their father, and from then on, Kichiro was raised by his mother. His mother worked hard to keep him fed and housed.

To keep himself out of trouble, and out of the empty house, Kichiro went to the library often, and read comics and how-to books. He learned to be fairly handy through his readings and became an action and science fiction fanatic. It has since died down a bit, as he does not have as much time to read freely. He still tends to gravitate towards action comics though, hiding a few in his room at all points in time.

At 15, Kichiro's mother married a very wealthy man. Kichiro often quarreled with him over his mother, as he had gotten a bit possessive during the four years they spent by themselves. Eventually, to settle the disputes, at least for a little while, Kichiro was sent to Ouran Academy. He begged his mother to not make him go, but she told him it would be good for him. He's still a bit bitter about it, but he'll manage.
