Cody nodded, finishing off his soup, "what about taking energy from someone ekse?"

[KatherinWinter]

"I don't know. I've never thought about that. I would hestitate to try it because I would have no way to monitor the persons energy level." Liz replies.

[MarshiestMallow]

Cody nodded, "right. Just curious, ive never met a nealer before, and the questionsnjust form sometimes, "

[KatherinWinter]

"Questions are never a bad thing. It's how we learn." Liz replies with a smile.

Ruslan listens to the conversation, and is amused by how Cody essentially attempting to get as much information on how Liz's power works. "Have you tried your powers on anything that isn't human? Animals, say?" he comes up with his own question.

"I have healed small animals. For example I have healed cats dogs. But have never tried bigger animals, like horses or cows." Liz replies. "Small animals are easier then humans."

Ruslan thinks for a while, and looks around again. "Sintara isn't missing again, is she?" he asked.

Cody sat thoughtfully, finishing off his bread. He looked around when It was suggested Sintara was missing,

"Shes up stairs on the phone somewnere" Cassie said, with a yawn

Phones. Ruslan remembered that having a new number means he has to tell everyone that he has got a new number, not only the team members. He begins texting person after person, especially his old friends on the racetrack and his former agent, that he has got a new number. Who knows, maybe one of those people can get him back into racing.

Liz wondered what Ruslan was doing. It seemed an odd time to be texting people. She doubted she would ever completely understand ant of them. As much as they share, their was lots of things they kept to themselves. They were a team, but not a true one. They did not trust each with everything. Liz wondered if the would ever truly trust and depend on each other.

"Don't worry, Liz," Ruslan said after he perceives Liz to be suspicious of him. "I'm not telling the soldiers or whatever the government has to come here. I just miss my old friends, so I text them all and see if they text back".

"I was actually thinking that our old lives are gone. We should be building new ones, but we all cling to our old lives. We have been a group for several months and yet I barely know anything about any of you. I wonder how it is we can be such a good team and yet maintain such distance." Liz responded.

[nautilusmp]

"Old lives may be gone, but friends are lifetime investments, aren't they?" Ruslan said. He is amused by Liz's remarks about the team being very formidable while being very closed to each other. "We work together because we have a common interest, I suppose. And it'll remain our common interest for a long time".

[KatherinWinter]

"I guess that depends on your friends." Liz says thoughtfully. "I can not see any of my old friends understanding or accepting the changes I have made. I no longer want to hid my healing ability behind a medical degree. I think it depends on a person's goals."

[nautilusmp]

"Wait a minute," Ruslan said as his phone starts vibrating. He has just received several text message. "I need some time without you guys," he said as he leaves the room again.

[KatherinWinter]

"Well that was rude." Katherin says to no one in particular. "I can see some of us going back to our previous lives, but I for one am not eager to return to live without friends. Even if we are somewhat dysfunctional, you guys are the first friends I've ever had. Losing that isn't exactly my idea of a happy ending, even if we are free to find regular lives."

"Good job spotting that, and you see, this is what happens when someone knows all your intentions. I lost," Ruslan said to Katherin, after which he finally looks at her. "I have only been told that there will be a trial from a major racing team in a month's time and he asked me whether I want to join it. I haven't finalised on it yet, so I ask you guys, would it be better to join it?" he asks for suggestion. "My last race ended up bringing me here with you, if you want to believe me, so my next might have brought me to their HQ. But there won't be trials like this until next season".

"That is very interesting Ruslan. I am sure racing is very exciting. It sounds like an opportunity that you can not turn down. I see amazing races in your future." Katherin said sadly.

"It sounds like something I can't turn down, but in fact it's something I can't just accept either," Ruslan said, saddened as well. "I can only accept that offer if I'm not being chased by your government," he begins explaining. "Otherwise, you know where I am every weekend, and that makes me completely insecure. Someone with heat vision can just blow my car's engines during a race, for instance". He realizes that if he wants to make a comeback, the team has to fulfill its mission first.
