Cassie had left the room. She walked up to the top of the warehouse, oushing a door open. She thought of this as her forbidden room. It was the room she out everything in she didn't want to think about, some things were just words on paper, like "don't think about your murdered brother" since of course, she had no ohotos or meentoes to resemble things like that. She kept it here because this place had been a safe haven.
A big picture, of her father, mother, Herself, and a tiny Moe at a picnic was the main feature. She stood there, looking at it, for a while. Then walked up to it, pushed on hidden hinges, and revealed a safe. All the money she had in the world was in tnere. Her parents had been wealthy people, her fathers oarents wealthy, and so on. This was her inheritance, she hadn't touched any of it these last three years, and when she had turned 21, she had taken it all out over a year, and stored it here.
She never thought to use it. She had never thought she could, or would, have children to oass it on to. If they completed this, they would be safe, she was sure of it. But she didn't want to keeo this money all to herself. Her friends deserved f0to live their lives, to follow their dreams.
Her own dream had changed. She would change the world, and if she could, she would do it with her friends. If not, it would mean it was just a bit harder.
She let the safe and picture shut, turning and leaving, she looked out a window in the hallway. And stopped dead. A crowd of people were walking towards the building. At least a hundred. They appeared raggared, so she wasnt worried they were government, but why were they coming towards them?
She ran down the stairs, "guys?" She called, "we might have problem!"
