Salem, Massachusetts - 1692.
That's when everything started. The witch hunters came into town and the witch trials began along with several hangings. The whole entire town pointed fingers at each other, friends turned against friends and family turned against family, causing fear and panic to everyone within the town. With more than twenty persecuted then eventually executed, fear still lingered over the town of Salem and the community was still left rather suspicious, leaving many questions unanswered. Everyone just wanted to be safe but the hunters wanted to know if they really did rid all of Salem of the witches and the witches wondered if they could really come out of hiding after discovering that the witch trials were finally over.
About eight years passed by and many believed that the witch fever has died down but that wasn't really the case. Now that it is 1700, many witches began to bond with each other but only behind the scenes. Even though many witches don't mix and kept a safe distance away from each other, what was happening in Salem was a unique phenomenon and this was the beginning of a truce between witches. In order to create a front against the hunters, the witches had to create a front and that was when they made another truce with other creatures, such as werewolves and vampires, within the supernatural community. So that another event like the witch trials would not happen again, they needed to stick together and make Salem into the haven like it was before.
Now that many, many years have passed and the truce has been created and intact ever since. Peace and serenity seemingly returned to the town of Salem. Or has it? With the witches becoming too comfortable and complacent with the truce, things are currently changing along with everyone's safety. The Witches and the Voodoo have drawn battle lines with each other, once again and old grudges are coming to the limelight between these two covens. Many witches are getting tired of hiding who they truly are and think that it is time to break free from the truce that has been kept in place many, many years ago. This caused much tension to rise within the ranks of the covens and on the other side of the town; the hunters haven't been sitting idly by neither.
Truces and alliances have been tested once again ever since many people went missing and have died mysteriously in the woods. The hunters aren't with the guessing names, fear and panic mongering, trials and hanging like the original witch trails over the years. Instead, they have been gathering their information and going on quiet hunts, trying not to draw too much attention to themselves. While werewolves and vampires never really wanted to get involved and sat down on the sidelines after all these years, they are now having their old and new loyalties tested. But how does one go back when they have been shunned and made to go back to their makeshift communities? So, what are they to do now?
Many humans, who are the normal ones, feel that something isn't right and that a storm is definitely brewing. The humans who really know what's going on, is there anything that they can do? Or must they sit back and watch the aftermath of the storm? In Salem, this is really only the beginning. The rest of the world may have discarded the Salem Witch Trials as massive hysteria and panic over the years but the truce is fracturing and creating a demimonde around it.
But the real question isn't a matter of how long it will last when everything comes to head. The real question is, which side will you choose?

Hello, everyone! Welcome to a rather supernatural HushedWhispers Productions roleplay. First and foremost, I'd just like to state that the creative credit for this roleplay goes to a tumblr prompt that I was reading but the inspiration comes from my love for the Salem Witch Trials. But this roleplay will be heavily character and plot driven with many themes thrown in by myself, the GM. What that means is whatever your character does effects their direction within the roleplay, so be wisely because there can be character death in this particular roleplay. This roleplay is a high casual, realistic and supernatural themed but the only supernatural beings involved are witches, warlocks, werewolves and vampires. That's it. Of course, I do want some hunters thrown into the mix, as well. The roleplay will start with a Founder's Day Celebration type of ordeal and we'll just go from there.
