Summary

Federation and IMPSEC forces joined forces at 2995.09.26 15:05 U.T. By 16:30 U.T. the decoy ship was put in position with all forces at the ready. A fake distress signal was transmitted detailing an engine failure and subsequent evacuation.

At 18:25 U.T. pirate ships were detected within the planetary system, two squadrons of fighters and a compliment of troop transports with approximately one company of infantry. The enemy fighters surrounded the decoy ship, and transports breached the ship's airlocks and entered the ship.


Captured security footage, pirates entering hanger bay.

Pirate forces conducted a sweep of the ship, making their way to the cargo bay where they were ambushed. After a brief exchange of fire, and suffering light casualties, enemy forces surrendered.

IMPSEC and LMG frigates then moved in and engaged pirate fighter squadrons. Both frigates sustained moderate damage before pirate fighters and transports retreated. Unfortunately, without any merc companies to intercept, the fighters were able to retreat to an unknown location.

As of yet the base of operations of the pirates eludes IMPSEC, though with many of the pirates captive, it is assumed that it is only a matter of time before it is discovered.

LMG, Manny's Mechs, and NBCW are awarded 1,000mc.
