Welcome adventurers to Dreamscape Online, the most realistic MMO experience few can partake in where all have their chances to become legends! With your acceptance in this season's new candidate pool, you will mark the 10th generation of heroes to step forth into the realm of Avalice. Your Nerve Tech gaming device will put you directly into the game as if you were there in real life, allowing you to live your fantasies to your heart's content. The experience of every player is unique as the development team here at COSTA works hard to ensure every single player that logs into the game receives an unique passive ability to call their own based on the survey you took at the beginning of the application process! This power can come in many forms, but rest assured not a single other player character would ever share this ability with you in the history of the game. At first, the many options of the game's core play may come to be too overwhelming to you all, so we decided that we would ween you into the game's many mechanics using a state of the art ai companion to teach you the ropes and assist you on your adventure. Armor - (Heavy/Light, Non base clothes, things like that. What does it look like?.)
Other misc gear - (Hats, rings, jewelry, bags things such as that.)

(You have 17 points total to pick, all stats are out of 5, this gives us a perspective of what you can do in the game and will only be checked if you try to do something I deem out of your range of ability. Nothing can be 0/5)

Intelligence - X/5 (How gifted are you with magic)
Dexterity - X/5 (How good are you with ranged weapons, and with your hands)
Speed - X/5 (How fast are you, this also affects your stealth)
Toughness - X/5 (How fragile are you? 1 a piece of paper, 5 a oak tree. This effects your HP)
Luck - X/5 (How lucky are you? Affects crits and item drops as well as your odds in item events)

Passive Ability - Report to me for quiz and assignment, this is more of a challenge for you to make it good, but I will take into account certain things in your wishes when we make it. PM me when you're ready, keep the power secret or reveal it right away. You're even welcome to hold off on the quiz if you want the lack of a power to be a plot point for awhile.

You know what I'll do you one better. I'll offer you three choices when we go through it and you may pick the one you like the most.

Misc

Anything I missed here that you feel matters to your in game self, out of game selves will be rather plain by comparison to your in game character so try not to worry about it till we get to that part.

Classes - You can choose 1 class to begin with from this list

My Hider

Alchemist - Creator of life and death, use plants to make potions and poisons, though you'll never know what they do until you test them on a subject.

Archer - A ranged fighter, using bows, guns, and crossbows. Mostly accuracy based, though no amount of aiming is gonna keep track of your ammo.
Beast tamer - A tamer of the wild, is primarily proficient at gaining animal companions though the limit is based on class level

Black Mage - Offensive based magic user ranging anywhere from Elemental Magics, to status conditions usually not the strongest or sturdiest bunch

Lancer - The Lancer is as the name suggests focused on using pole arms and lances, faster than a warrior but with more focus on their utility than on their damage output, the defensive fighter

Performer - Utility Magic at it's finest, buffs the party with various abilities yet skilled with daggers when in a pinch

Shield Bearer - The damage sponge, not the heaviest hitter but sure as hell can take one

Theif - A good home for every coin, a target on every turned back. Likes to stick to the shadows, and has a very persuasive way with words. Uses short swords, daggers, and thrown weapons.

White Mage - Healing Magics and Illusions, not sturdy, but certainly useful in a party

Warrior - The basic type of combat classes, proficient in swords and shields using powerful skills to deal damage to foes

Later more unique classes will become available, these are merely tier one choices. I hope you look forward to exploring the world and finding the many classes that inhabit it.

To gain your passive ability, please pm me for a small personal quiz, then once I give you your ability hide it or reveal it immedietly. It'll be just for you, so try to think of how you can use it to your advantage! This is a challenge for you as a character, and trust me I have a plan for tier systems to these abilities so you can unlock greater powers with them.

Now this 0th post may be updated eventually, so be sure to keep an eye on it. Thanks guys, I know it may seem like a lot of work for a CS but I think it'll be a fun experience to have two aspects of an RP. Out of game description - Somewhat sarcastic, but not unfriendly. Firmly believes in playing his character to the hilt, so for all intents and purposes, you're playing with his in-game avatar unless you deliberately ask him something. Enjoys soloing MMOs, but, given the nature of Dreamscape, is curious about the experience of fighting alongside others.

Character History - Dedicated gamer, mostly PC but also some tabletop. Works at the local library. He found out about Dreamscape from mindlessly surfing the library's internet during his increasingly copious free time.

Will Nguyen

Character Age- 24

Out of game description - Will can be quickly summarized as the black and white "you're doing it wrong" part of an infomercial. No other human being has come close to him in terms of screw-ups, mistakes, errors and buffoonery. As anyone who's met him knows, he has the luck of a black cat underneath a ladder. Will isn't the type to do take it slow and can be obsessive, delusional, and hard to deal with at times. Anyone caught in the middle of his stupid ideas will think he's friendly, but will often opt to create as much distance between them as possible.

He has a tendency to hyperventilate whenever something catches his interest and frequently develops a nice set of bloodshot eyes when he finds something new to fawn over. The bags under his eyes are gucci.

Character History - After all one hundred and seventy-three of his career ideas were rejected by his middle school counselor, a young and plucky Will Nguyen was told to be as realistic as he could when planning his future. A couple of hours later, after slouching around in an old bean bag chair in his room, he had an epiphany. If he couldn't be all the crazy things he wanted to be, why not choose the most boring job imaginable! He'd work and afterwards would indulge in all the same things he enjoyed now! After mulling over which career seemed the most boring he finally settled on becoming an accountant.

Years later, at the age of 24, Will has fallen into the sarlacc pit of online gaming. After receiving an invitation to participate in Dreamscape Online he nearly passed out. After making sure he wasn't dreaming and adjusting the "You can do it" kitten poster on his desk, the office drone wasted no time in signing up.

Passive ability: Fortune Seeker- Passively can see highlighted objects in areas when the object exceeds a certain value, all items sold to vendors give twice as much gold, silver, and copper. The player also has better chances to encounter chance events that generate randomly by 50%

Misc

Will wanted to make a cowboy character despite knowing nothing about cowboys and the game not supporting them, hence the ridiculous first and last name.

Walker is a pretty muscular avatar, but it's only cosmetic and he can't actually do much.

Will is extremely unlucky in real life, but his avatar is decently lucky, which will probably be a running gag.

I like the Character persona he has set up for himself, I have no issues really. The silly name kinda leans into a real life mmo trope of people using silly names, so I can appreciate it. You may want to note that the character would end up reffered to by his Willwind2 username until he clarifies that.

With that note, I approve it. I'll be making first IC post within the next day or so to start us out. So keep your eyes out.

No worries, in this rp im just kinda playing it fast and loose with my descriptions as it's more of a character driven plot with my only character kinda being a spaz that has to have very, very short posts to emphasize how quickly they're interacting between the two of you, as we go I'll have more characters to use and the posts will get much longer. Right now we're in kinda an establishing spot.
