For hundreds of years, dragons were just a myth told through movies, books and even games. For the longest time, mythical creatures were non existent, but now everything is about to change. Deep within a hidden cave, lies the nest of of dragons from over hundred million years ago at the very least. After waiting for so long, it is finally time for the eggs to hatch. The return of the dragons is finally here.

Blue and Shenron

The first egg to hatch was an icy blue egg. It wiggled softly, side to side, but nothing happened until eventually, the egg began to freeze rapidly until it became extremely fragile and shattered against the floor. Then, out came a small black and blue dragon. She rose her head up slowly and looked around. The gem on her forehead glowed brightly. As she looked around, she could hear things in her head.

'My egg is hatching. Is it time to come out?'

Blue then looked towards a large white egg, her icy blue eyes stared at it, seeing the crack in the egg. After a moment of it moving about, the egg cracked some more and out came a white dragon with a light green fur travelling down his back, and some on his tail. He had two horns coming up from his head. He stood up slowly and looked around, then looked to Blue who was the only other dragon that had hatched yet.

"It seems everyone is starting to hatch."

Blue looked around at all the different eggs, before looking back towards Shenron. She gave a small smile and a nod of her head in agreement. Dragons were starting to hatch, and so far they were the first two.

"Yes, but I don't think all the eggs will hatch at the same time. It may be a little while before the others hatch, but I don't know."

She looked around again and sat herself down. Shenron stood forward slowly and stood by her side, waiting for the eggs to hatch. He would only wait a few minutes. He wasn't waiting forever.

Midnight

Further back in the room was a dark purple egg. The egg was perfectly still, although inside the egg was thick toxic gas. Midnight who was inside had 'clicked' her teeth together causing a spark and with that the gas exploded and as it did the egg shell was blown all across the room and out came a pure purple dragon. She looked around, before looking back in the egg to see that another dragon had been hatched with her. She stared at it for a moment before looking around.

"It seems we're finally out of that egg."

She looked back to the egg once more to see thick gas spread out from her egg she tilted her head before opening her mouth wide and sucking in all the toxic gas. Then she turned to see a dark purple puddle flood out of the egg and as it did the rocks and the floor began to cinder and melt a little, until the purple puddle evaporated.. Midnight then stretched herself out and let out a loud yawn, suddenly, a sound wave was released. It traveled in all four directions of the cave and as quickly as they went, they came back. Suddenly, Midnight's eyes widened for a moment and she looked around.

"We're not alone. There is something here with us, but, just further up ahead, there is one more dragon about to hatch too and the thing, whatever it is is dangerously close to him."

She looked to Nightshade, the one who hatched with her for he was the only one she trusted at the moment, considering he did hatch when she did.

Skyro

A pure purple egg moved side to side slowly. It cracked slightly in the sunlight which shone down from above. As the egg continued to roll, the crack grew larger and soon enough, out came a purple dragon with not one, not two, not three, not even four, but five horns! He came out the egg slowly, revealing two orbs in his wings. He then looked up to the sunlight was flew up to escape when suddenly the left orb glowed brightly and spoke.

"Skyro, don't fly out to the surface. Not yet, we do not know what may be out there, and you have only just hatched. There may be other dragons here. Let see if we can find others we can trust.

Suddenly, the right orb glowed and spoke afterwards.

"But how do we know we can trust those dragons, that is if they are any dragons around."

Skyro landed on the ground slowly and looked around before speaking himself.

"I think she is right, I am going to look around."

The orbs fell silent and Skyro left the room slowly. He looked around to see a small fire. His head twisted for a second, wondering who was there, but his question was quickly answered however when a group of orcs came out of hiding and sat down by the fire. Skyro immediately retreated back into the room and got as far away as possible. He was trapped, and he didn't know what to do.

Of in a secluded section of the cave lay a spectacular looking purple and blue egg, slight tapping came from underneath it's surface after a short while a crackling could be heard then suddenly a small beam of electricity cut through the egg leaving a small hole. Then a little purple head started trying to force its way out. It was eventually successful and a rather small purple dragon fell out. Gabby looked around and sneezed quietly. Where am I? She said to herself quietly looking around. She was alone wherever she was and she didn't like that. Her scales glimmered once and she quickly went back to the remains of her eggshell and tried to climb back inside. Is was futile, she had broken it to much upon hatching for it to house her properly. She shivered in fear scanning every inch of the cave.

Maybell woke up in the dark. She was curled up in a warm space. It was small, but just the right size for her to fit comfortably in. She let out a yawn, her warm breath filling her space. She saw a prick of light above her, which grew into a hole. Her egg melted around her and she saw a lovely sight.

She was on the bank of a pond in a dark place. The little bits of light were plants casting a soft glow that reflected off the still water. There was moss floating around and climbing up the walls of the cave.

Maybell stretched and rolled over, right into the water. She was startled at first, but quickly gained control, swimming up to the surface. She burst through a patch of moss and climbed back on to the bank. She shook the water off her fur, curling up and gazing into her reflection in the pond.

She wondered absently if she was alone, or if there was anyone else beyond the reach of the light.

Unlike your traditional way of hatching from the surface, The rugged scaly egg breaks from the bottom of its shell and whatever inside it decided to tunnel underneath. The earth shifted and slightly trembles and poof! a spring of sand burst into the air and the hatchling dragon pops his head from the ground like a confuse mole looking for something.

Leeroy resurface from the ground, half asleep and slightly opens his sluggish eyes. The hatchling can feel the ground's presence from the bottom of his stubby feet and hears muffled noises not far from where he stands. He can sense the tiny footsteps of the dragons who hatch before him as if he is somehow connected with the earth.

Instead of approaching them and having some sense of curiosity, The lazy brown dragon decided to roll around and bury itself underneath a blanket of dirt, slowly shutting his eyes again. "5 more minutes, mommy.." The earth dragon mumbles and takes a quick nap near its empty shell.

Zyghin ⚏

He felt the pull first. It was a sticky tug of the shadows, a twisting smoke around his small form. Zyghin, the melanoid dragon, slowly lowered his wings around himself then waited several pulsating seconds. When the fourth thrum of his heart slammed in his ears, he felt compelled to finally slide his eyes open.

For a moment he saw only lines of darkness, followed by spirited lines of lightening, shimmering ice, or convoluted flames. He took a step, hearing his talons click against the earth. A cavern. was his first thought. Then an image of a large maw opening in the earth flashed.

Yes, this is a cavern. He waddled forwards to investigate even more, disregarding the other dragons around him. He could smell something, a mingling of disgust and interest. Zyghin started forwards then pulled back, there was a peculiar scent mixed in as well. Danger, came the unbidden word.

He glanced over his scaled hide and saw, beneath an amber tint, the other dragons. Tools. They'll help me get free.

Three flaps of his wings had raised him six feet off the ground. "We should leave. Not... Yes, it is not safe here." The sound of his voice, as sharp as his talons but dusky with mystery was pleasing to him.

❆ Quilo ❆

As soon as Quilo felt the air against his scaly skin, he knew he was in some way connected to it. Despite his confusion, a thrill surged through him as he pushed at the remaining shell of his egg with his head. Frosty shards fell away, until he burst out, nearly tripping over a rock in his excitement.

Steadying himself, he peered through the darkness of the cavern. He couldn't wait to get out... once he found the way out, that was. The wyvern scampered around in a clumsy half-run, half-bounce, spreading his wings to glide every now and again.

At a familiar sound, he stopped and listened, staring down a tunnel filled with jagged shapes sticking out from the walls and floor - crystals. Right at the end was an egg, purple and jewel-like, splintering just as his own had done. He ducked as a spike-covered wing pummelled through the shell, sending fragments hurtling through the air and clattering to the ground.

When he looked up, he saw he was no longer alone. Eyes widening, he bounded towards the rather startled-looking hatchling.

"Heyyy! Want to play? Let's head out! C'mon, the way out can't be far! Let's see who gets to it first!"

✧ Petronia ✧

Smash. Smash. Smash. With each blow from Petronia's stony wings and the pointed gem on her forehead, the crack in the egg's shell widened. Finally, it shattered outwards, sending the hatchling stumbling into an unfamiliar world.

Without her protective casing, the first thing the little dragon felt was vulnerability. She crawled back, yelping at a sudden sting in her foot as she stepped on a piece of her egg. The next thing she registered was an odd sensation thrumming through her body, the flesh around her crystalline protrusions tingling.

There was someone else in this cavern. Someone like her. But that didn't mean she could trust them.

Something in her reacted to the darkness, and the gems jutting from her body gave off a soft light. Great, she thought with a jolt of panic. Now others in here would be able to easily find her. She had no idea how to dim the glow. She didn't even know how she'd done it in the first place.

Peering from behind a crystal formation, she cried out, drawing back from the white blur that barrelled towards her. Whatever it was seemed ready to pounce at any moment. She lashed with her claws, earning a shriek. The other dragon skittered to the side, staring down in shock at the blood dripping from a row of gashes on his shoulder.

"Get lost," Petronia snarled, spitting out the words. She scurried away, trying to hide behind another cluster of crystals jutting from the ground, nerves taut as she kept alert to any signs of approaching threats.

It's been so long... why can't I break this wall? What's beyond this wall, and why can't I break it? Shade thought as she bashed her head against the inside of her eggshell. The egg seemed to jump, but it didn't hit anything, so, it didn't break, and so, Shade tried again. This time, she was far more lucky, and the grey egg jumped over to a rock, and smashed against it, breaking, and finally revealing the rest of the world to the tiny, black and white dragon... or, at least, it revealed a small cave that she was stuck in. She saw strange, lizard-like creatures with wings, and, for some reason, the first word that came to her mind was 'dragon', with the second one being 'friend'... Shade watched and listened as the others spoke, and once she was sure she could emulate that, she inched closer to the blue one, and the weird, snake-like one, and eventually said "H-hi?" to the two 'dragons'. Whether or not they heard her practically mumble that, it didn't really matter to her, right now. Shade then noticed the other, possibly broken, eggs, and ended up asking a stupid question "Wh-what are those things? Can they hurt me?" despite having just broken out of one, Shade apparently didn't quite figure out what a dragon egg was, and the others seemed to just be waiting in front of them for some reason. Shade didn't know what they were waiting for, but she decided that she should probably trust these two, and she started waiting with them, wondering if anything was going to happen.

Crystalline

Crystalline was in a pure crystal egg. The egg was impossible to hatch by normal means. When Crystalline was awake in her egg, she used her natural ability of crystal manipulation, and opened up the egg herself. She climbed out slowly and looked around. There were a few dragons already hatched it seemed. She stepped forward and spoke softly.

"Hello everyone. How long have you been hatched for?"

She looked around and saw four different exits, four different ways to go. Which one was best to travel down and where did they lead?

Draco

Draco's egg had burst into flames before Draco burst out of the egg. Drayko got himself up and looked around seeing all four exits. He then looked to the other hatchlings.

"There are four exits. Which way do we go, if we do go?"

He was talking to nobody in particular, but simply asking himself as he look around at all four exits.

Smoke

Smoke hatched soon after Drayko. He came out of his egg and looked around. He was a black Chinese Dragon, and funny enough, there was another dragon just like him, but white. He looked at all four exits and then looked around, seeing a few people had hatched already. He then looked to the side seeing that a dragon had hatched with him.

"Hello everyone."

It was wise to get to know each other before trying to work out a plan and deciding what to do, or, so he thought anyway.

Starfire

Starfire sat in a golden and silver egg she was always restless sensing the dark energy coming from Zygins egg not to far from her she would constantly fidget and claw at the egg in an attempt to break though so she could create some distance between them she could hardly stand being so close to such darkness eventually as the egg began to weaken form her constantly striking it the egg broke apart forming a hole in the centre just big enough for her to clim out off once she was out she backed up away from Zygins while glaring at him she she saw a few dragons talking in the background it seamed there was another dragon deeper in the cave in some kind of danger
"if there in someone in trouble we should do everything in our power to help them"

Nightshade

Nightshade listened to his sister it seamed there was another dragon deeper inside the cave with something else something dangerous not that he pertinently cared what happened to this dragon he looked to his Sister
"lets just leave the cave we have no obligation to save that dragon or anyone else for that matter we don't know or trust then so why would we help them should just focus on ourselves"

Shockwave

Shockwave open his eye as he hear the words of his brother 'hello everyone' he sat up and took a look around he had no idea what was going on and he didn't understand why everyone was just sitting around talking he looked his brother before speaking
"I'm going to go exploring"
With that he began to walk away heading deeper into the cave

Boulder

Boulder egg is a simple brown egg that sat a little deeper in the cave then the rest after an earthquake sent it rolling down a slope she sat comfortably enjoying the peace and quiet for a long time until her body grew to big for the egg and began pushing up agents it at that point the egg began to crack and the smallest amount of movement was enough to break it open she climbed out of the egg and soon realised she was the last one to hatch she could sense what was going deeper in the cave and when she closed her eyes she could make out vage shapes one looked small like another hatchling while the other three where far bigger she climbed up the small slope and looked to the others
"there is another dragon deeper in the cave and three big umm well i don't actually know what they are but there are big and I'm pretty sure they are dangerous we should go help the dragon before its to late"

Leeroy

"So you guys can sense it too huh?...as you can tell, we're not alone here inside this cave." Leeroy nonchalantly said to the newly hatched dragons, opening his one eye, taking a glance at them. Clearly, he was sort of eavesdropping, hearing tidbits of some of the hatchling's concern.

The lazy earth dragon yawns and he turn flat on his back as he faced the ceiling above before speaking again. Clearly, he was not extremely concerned about this unseen threat that is or just lurking around inside this cavern. He can sense the earth's vibration, he'll be ready for anything if something or someone comes in their way.

"I'm sure it's nothing to worry about as long we remain hidden...*yawns*" with a drowsy tone, The brown dragon snuggles in the dirt once more, waddling his tail and returning to his napping position.

"As for the separated dragon, I'll be happy to work with you guys and help find him" surprisingly enough, Leeroy offered his help. Not because of he was being heroic or anything, it's because he just wanted to get some peaceful sleep and these dragons can't stop yapping about this unseen threat, Not to mention these Orcs are pretty loud themselves from where they are. It's really a burden being an earth dragon inside a cavern when you can hear even smallest vibration there is inside this cave. It's getting really annoying if you're trying to get some good shut-eye.

"He's still alive but in a tight pickle, If you're planning to help him you'll need a plan, otherwise, it will be suicidal." Leeroy sighed.

Blue

Blue looked around and watched as dragon after dragon hatched. Some dragons suggested on helping the other dragon while other dragons suggested on leaving him and depending on themselves. Just before one of the dragons began to go in a random direction Blue quickly stepped up quickly and called out.

"Wait, you shouldn't go off on your own. We need to stick together."

She looked around and then looked over to the purple dragon.

"We don't know everyone's names yet. Where is he anyway?"

She knew their names but nobody knew hers or each others.

Midnight

Midnight listened to Blue call the other dragon back then stepped forward quickly to answer the question.

"The dragon is to the east with those things. If we go there we will find him. My name is Midnight, nice to meet you all."

She looked around, wondering where the other directions go before looking back to Blue.

Shenron

Shenron looked to Midnight as she spoke her name and where the other dragon was then gave a soft nod. So they needed to go to the east then. He stepped forward and spoke next.

"I'm Shenron. In my opinion there are too many of us here. If we ALL went we would draw too much attention to ourselves. I think we should divide. A few people go to rescue the dragon, not too many to get seen but enough that if something happens they can defend themselves. The rest I think should go explore the rest of the cave in groups."

Skyro

Skyro stepped forward slowly and stared out of the room he was in. Those creatures were talking among themselves, and they were cooking something but he couldn't tell what it was. He crept forward to take a closer look to see some sort of wing. Were they eating dragons or something? That was when he heard his ancestors speak, the orb glowing soft blue.

"Skyro be careful. You may be able to sneak away if you are quiet."

He gave a small nod and closed his eyes, when he did the orbs glowed brightly and suddenly he disappeared. He looked around before realizing he had only turned invisible, although it wasn't perfect. He could feel the spell was weak, the cloak was flickering on and off every few seconds. He sighed, it would have to do for now.

Gabby

Gabby could her lots of talking off in the distance, although she couldn't make out any of the words. Did they know she was there? Were they coming to get her!? These questions filled her mind and she shivered in fear, her scales glimmered for a second and she then went invisible. Tho she could not tell she was invisible because to her she could see herself perfectly fine. She made a afraid sound akin to that of a baby, she knew she couldn't sit around wait for the voices to come to her then they would have the element of surprise on her. So she got low and slowly crawled towards the voices slowly being able to make out a few words. The first dragon she saw was the one that had lifted itself of the ground and calling down of everyone, this dragon looked frightening and sounded demanding. She stopped and watched the dragon not wanting to get any closer as to run risk of easily getting seen, because she still didn't know she was invisible but she could probably still be sensed by some of the other dragons.

@The One@LeamonZest89

"A name? I suppose you can call me Leeroy.." The brown dragon introduces himself to the two(Shenron and Blue),twitching his nostrils, uncertain on why he picked this name. Usually, the parents give out their child's names when they were born and seeing there are no adult dragons to do so, these hatchlings have the freedom call themselves whatever they like. Leeroy chose this name because strangely enough, this was the first thing that pops in his mind ever since he was hatched, I guess some things are better off unexplained.

"Divide and conquer? not a bad plan.." He said to the Chinese Dragon. "If you have enough volunteers then I guess I'll stick with the one task that has minimum effort in it, which is exploring the cave..maybe I'll gather some food along the way," Leeroy shrugs, favoring to his lazy nature.

"Either way, This place is like a playground to me, being in a cavern, surrounded by the earth and all. I'll try to come to you if I can if you need any aid or if I find anything useful around this cave." Leeroy stands up as he senses the tiny footsteps beneath the earth that some other dragon is hiding within the area.

"Come on out, don't be shy we're all dragons here.." Leeroy tilted his head and looks at a vacant area, calling out the dragon to come out. To others, it just an empty space, but for the earth dragon, he can sense there's something moving there even if not visible.

✧ Petronia ✧

That tingling sensation in Petronia's head, chest and wings grew. A glance down the tunnel revealed distant, moving shapes. More dragons.

The crystal formation in front of her suddenly shot up, growing and spreading at an alarming rate, sending the white wyvern stumbling back. More gems spiked up from the ground all around her. Petronia stared around frantically at the jagged wall. She flapped her wings, but it quickly became clear she wasn't built for flight. Great. It was all well and good that she had a way to protect herself, but it would be a plus if her shield didn't double as a prison.

"Don't worry! I'll get you out of there!" she heard the excitable ice dragon offer, seemingly unfazed by her lashing out. Petronia glared up as the wyvern rose into the air.

"Hmph. Don't bother. I did this, I can undo it just as easily," she grumbled, even though she didn't have the first idea how to reverse what she'd done. She tried striking the barrier with the tough crystals on her wings, but it held. How had she broken through her egg? It hadn't just been with her strength, she was sure of that, but how did she even use her crystal manipulation ability?

With a growl of frustration, she thought back to what it had felt like when she'd made the shards grow, feeling that crackle of energy spread through her again. Slowly, the spikes jutting from the ground began to sink back down. Petronia huffed. She didn't have the patience for this. This time, all it took was one blow from her wing for the now-fragile barrier to shatter.

Well, that was that dealt with... Which just left the problem of the other, possibly less than friendly dragons here.

❆ Quilo ❆

@LeamonZest89

As Quilo dodged the second shower of crystal fragments, he glimpsed other scaly forms deeper in the cave, heard them talking. He and the gem-covered dragon weren't the only hatchlings here.

"Looks like we've got company! C'mon, what are we waiting around for?" He glanced from Petronia to the distant group, red eyes wide and shining. "Let's say hi!" And with that, he was in the air again. The shoulder wound stung with each flap of his wings, but wasn't bad enough to slow him down any.

"Oh yeah, great idea! Fly headlong into danger, why don't you?" he heard the other dragon snarl, but he ignored her, darting forward... Crash.

"Oww!" He picked himself up from the ground, feeling a bruise start to form on his head. "What was that?" Whatever - or whoever - he'd collided with was nowhere in sight. There just seemed to be an empty space in front of him.
