Personality: Momo is almost like two people in one body. There’s Momo with her mask, and Momo without it.
With the mask on, Momo is bright and vibrant. She almost always has a smile on her face (what you can see of it) and she laughs a lot. She’s the kind of person who will sing out loud just because she has the song stuck in her head. She’s very touchy, leaning over shoulders and punching arms, as long as you’re her friend and she knows you’re okay with it.
Without her mask, she’s almost completely opposite. She becomes guarded and quiet, seemingly terrified of anyone seeing her face or hearing her voice. Her posture collapses inward, shoulders hunching and eyes turning downward. If she’s forced to address or even meet anyone without her mask on, Momo will most likely cry.
The main constant between her two states is that she wants to make people happy. Even if she’s at her most timid, she’ll still try to be as nice as she can. Momo is a big people pleaser and will do her best to help anyone who asks for it, or at least try to make them smile.
Bio: Momo’s parents were the heirs of two powerful Kitsune families: the Hatake family in Tokyo, and the Ikeda family in Los Angeles. Shiori Hatake and her parents relocated to America and moved in with her fiance and his parents. While the marriage was a political move, it was a happy one that produced three daughters. With three kids, two parents, and four grandparents, the house they lived in was never quiet. The only quiet one was the youngest daughter, Momoko.
Momo was beyond shy. She kept to herself around her family, and when they had visitors, she refused to show her face at all. If her parents brought her to meet anyone, it would bring her to tears. She had to be homeschooled because she would cry at the prospect of going to school.
In an attempt to help her, her grandmother Yasumu gave her a fox mask to hide her face. It worked wonderfully. She was much more comfortable when no one could see her face. She was even able to go to school once her parents made sure she would be allowed to wear her mask.
Over the years, she didn’t just become more confident, she became outgoing. She spoke up, made jokes, laughed loud, and even took up an instrument. She came to rely on the mask, however, and her family knew that she would eventually have to learn to function without that crutch, as well as learn to use her powers. To work towards both of these goals, they enrolled Momo in a specialty school for the supernatural.

Appearance: Clocking in at 5’3”, Esperanza is a woman of a slim, almost twiggy build, with tanned skin and sad brown eyes. Black hair falls just above her shoulders, and the girl herself is typically found wearing a distant, dreaming expression. Hers is the face that could blend into a crowd easily, if not for a few key quirks that keeps that fairly difficult. Namely, her right pinkie and several of her toes amputated right down to the knuckle, and a tangle of ink across her wrists, arms, and back. The tattoos are by far the most eye-catching, stylized to appear as pitch black feathers, and, in the case of her back, wings, sprouting from her skin. There are times when portions of her tattoos are hidden- most frequently in bandages, as a direct result of her frequent use of blood magic. The girl herself is quite twitchy as well, with a stilted, awkward grasp on the English language and a thick accent. Esp typically wears a variety of multicolored blouses, long-ankle length skirts, and loafers throughout her everyday life.
Personality: By all means, Esperanza can be considered a decent person. She genuinely makes an effort to be friendly and understanding to her peers, and is an intelligent young woman, but is still very much...peculiar, to say the least. Esp has a difficulty grasping most social norms, which can lead her to speaking a bit too much of her mind, sacrificing small animals in the name of her god, and generally struggling to interact without eccentricities. Nevertheless, Esp is a kind soul who is eager to experience the novelties of school, and is fiercely loyal and stubborn towards what- or who- she believes in.
Biography: While certain families of necromancers can be considered “eccentric” by the standards of others, the Ciervo lineage is one of the more strange ones. Based in rural Mexico, the Ciervos are a line of Necromancers that found their start back when the Mayans were still alive and well. They have made a name for themselves for their rather interesting community- a cult by their own creation, based around the worship of the Lady Death. The methods have ranged from cannibalism to live human sacrifice in the past, although due to the intervention of other magical groups, they have tampered these practices down for the most part.
The cult rounds to about a few hundred members in modern times, and is a primarily matriarchal society led by La Hijas de la Muerte: The Daughters of Death. As the name would imply, the Daughters are a group made up of the exclusively female necromancers of the Ciervo family, who are seen as the leaders and guardians of the cult. It is their job to organize and perform the various sacraments, rituals and ceremonies the cult performs in their god’s name, overlook and make decisions, tend to the bodies within the public crypt, and protect their community from harm.
Esperanza was born into the family, having been officially brought into the fold as a young child after an incident involving the channeling of her great-grandmother’s spirit. She was promptly whisked away to reside with the other Daughters, and, while tutored in the basics of learning, her education was primarily focused around learning control of her own developing powers, varieties of blood wards, preparation of cadavers, and so on and so forth. While allowed to roam the grounds of the cult, mingle during festivals, and visit family, most of her time was spent in the crypts. For the most part, Esp was content with this life, albeit somewhat lonely.
Due to Esperanza’s...rather noticeable lack of people skills, the family eventually made the decision to send Esp to a proper school (albeit with a fair deal of opposition from many members of the family). The school, they hoped, would better teach Esperanza how to serve as a leader, and how to better reach out to prospective members of their religion and convince them to join. Esperanza was delighted by the news, and is eager for the chance to taste the life of a “normal girl”- even if it’s only for the briefest of times.
Power One:Necromancy: Due to her lineage, Esperanza naturally possesses the ability to reanimate and control the dead (to some extent). While she can call ghouls and ghosts alike to her aid, she finds it much easier to raise corpses, although doing so requires the body to claw itself out of the earth if it’s not already above ground. In addition, she struggles to maintain control over the spirits she summoned. Due to the ghosts typically being of departed relatives, they tend to be naturally protective of her, but often do what they please for the most part. When under great emotional stress, Esperanza will unconsciously activate her powers, which can cause trouble in certain situations.
Power Two:Blood Magic: By cutting herself and drawing sigils with the spilled blood, Esperanza can perform various spells and wards. These range from mundane lock and silencing seals, to protective wards and means of binding demons temporarily. It’s also theoretically possible for her to summon demons via this method, but doing so would take a large amount of blood in order to both draw and seal the creature, and Esperanza views the process of summoning a demon as “dirty”. The spells can last from the span of a few hours to several days, but in order to maintain the effect past its expiration, the sigils periodically require a fresh coating of blood.

Pet Appearance: Chu is...strange, to say the very least. If you bred a weasel and a cat, then threw in a bit of bat, human, and spider, then you would get something that begins to look slightly like the creature known as Chu. Its second row of teeth and its tongue are that of a human, and its first row is more or less made up of soft, furry grey growths. Its body is long and spry, covered in a thin layer of hair and with a nub of a tail. Its ears are pointed and open, and where its eyes should be, there's only a cluster of eyes that resemble the eggs of a spider. On top of that, its paws are less "paws" and more "talons", and its saliva is a foul smelling grey paste. Chu also has a permanent smile that can be incredibly disconcerting.
Pet Personality: Chu, while hideous in nature, is surprisingly friendly. It chitters constantly, and has a habit of love-biting Esperanza's hands with its soft row of teeth. It's hard to see Esperanza without the thing wrapped lazily around her shoulders like a scarf, or to see the creature with a dead rodent for its master clamped between its jaws. Its a friendly little...being, and, while not particularly intelligent, its very loyal to its owner.
Pet Power One:Strength: Chu possesses notable jaw strength, able to cleave small animals in half with its teeth alone.
Pet Power Two:Screaming: Chu can screech at sounds loud enough to make a regular human's ears bleed, if it so desired. Esperanza tends to carry around a pair of earplugs to help negate this effect as a result.

Appearance: Standing at 4’9” and slight of frame, Dawn is hardly the most physically imposing figure out there. Her face is soft and wan, with ash grey, dark-ringed eyes and the sort of ghastly pale skin that might make one believe she’s anemic or sick. Her hair is thick, black, and grown all the way to her hips, which she often keeps braided back for convenience’s sake. Dawn usually wears wide-brimmed hats to hide her ears, and to keep some of the sun off her rather sensitive skin. Tends to wear simplistic, practical outfits, such as cardigans and skirts, or, in colder weather, slacks and a sweater. It wouldn’t be out of the question to assume Dawn’s a particularly fresh-faced secretary, or on her way to a funeral. Or both at once.
In her fox form, Dawn takes the shape of a small silver fox, bearing nine tails behind it. Most of these tails, however, are hidden behind a veil of illusions, both in this form and her humanoid.
Personality: By nature, Dawn is a gentle soul, soft-spoken and polite towards friends and strangers alike. She attempts to be respectful towards most by default- until they merit otherwise, that is- and, around close friends, will often break out of her usual somber personality and act much more openly lively. In addition, while usually composed and naturally serious, she will often become flustered if taken aback or embarrassed. She tends to have a rather dry sense of humor for the most part, and becomes frigid to the point of holding long-lasting grudges when genuinely angered. While Dawn has a strong code of ethics, she also relies strongly on logic when possible. When an unfamiliar situation arises, she will often do her best to wrap her head about it, asking questions or simply watching to gain information.
Bio: While still young among the kitsune population, Dawn’s life has been a lengthy one. She lived when Rome still thrived, then lived to see the fall of its child, Byzantine. She’s watched the birth of nations, and the wars fought by them shortly after. She herself was born to a small, fairly unremarkable clan of kitsune, who found their life in the gradually rising soul of Europe. Her family was a loving one, although, not long into her childhood, her brother had left. Humanity called to him like a siren with its charms, and he had no interest in living like a wild animal. Eventually, Dawn herself followed, struck by the same fascination that stolen her brother. She’s remained in varying levels of touch with her parents, and still meets with her older brother, although she chose to live on her own as soon as the option became viable.
Dawn posed as a human for centuries, although, with age, she has gradually grown jaded and somewhat cynical. In the modern era, where she has recently reached the age of maturity of a kitsune, she often acts as a private investigator. This service largely extends to humans, but, due to her supernatural nature, it’s not out of the ordinary for her to receive clients of a more mystical nature. One such customer spoke of an academy above the clouds, asking her to investigate it and satisfy their suspicions. Dawn’s own curiosity was quickly peaked, and she chose to accept the request. Concealing her tails beneath illusions, Dawn signed herself up for enrollment as a student.
Power:Persuasion: Dawn possesses the ability to influence the state of a person’s influence, or convince a target to do or forget certain things. These things are little more than suggestions- capable of being shaken off if the person is aware and refuses to let themselves be influenced- and cannot perform feats such as making a greatly depressed person feel blissfully joyful in the snap of one’s fingers. Regardless, however, Dawn’s power is highly convincing, and highly compelling.

Appearance: Gael’s preferred form to take when roaming the world of mortals is that of an unearthly beautiful young boy. His face is sweet and cherubic, framed by soft gold curls, and his eyes are wide and chocolate brown. He’s waifish in build, and rather short for his “age”, with pale skin. His preferred outfit is incredibly childish, only serving to emphasize the innocent appearance he takes on. A large, pastel pink coat, with sleeves that swallow up his hands. Neatly pressed black trousers. And bows. Everywhere, everywhere, large, yellow bows adorn his body. Pinned to the front of his blouse, tied atop his shoes, sewn into his coat. Gael is rarely, if ever, seen without pockets brimming with candy, and the stem of a lollipop poking out the corner of his mouth.
There are a few clues that indicate his true nature, however. Like the disturbingly hungry look in his eyes. Or the sharpness of his teeth.
Personality: On the surface, Gael seems to be a polite, if not a bit overly formal and stiff, young boy. He expresses a genuine fascination with the mortal realm and its inhabitants, and enjoys playing games and learning. However, given what he really is, Gael’s nature is quite malevolent. He experiences little to no emotions, and, while he possesses an understanding of it, his own grasp of morality is shaky at best. This leads him to be incredibly manipulative and cruel at times, especially when striving towards his ambitions. The almost childlike curiosity and fascination he regards the world with only worsens this.
Biography: Gael. Vanagloria. The Chaotic Prince, and the member of the royal family that prefers to dole out punishment to those whose pride got the better of them. It’s hard to say when, exactly, he came into existence, but his relationships he has with his relatives- ranging from a sort of doting affection, to outright plotting against one another- seem to imply that he’s one of the younger members of the family. The Prince spends most of his time alternating between “visiting” the damned, roaming the surface searching for new contractors, or simply wandering both worlds as he pleases, giving him a reputation in Hell of being a wildcard of sorts.
It was during one of his ventures to the mortal realm that Gael first heard of the Academy. Out of a mix of curiosity and boredom, he signed himself up for an application, wondering what a school filled with so many different walks of life could possibly hold.
Plus, it might be a good chance to conduct some...business.
And business is good.
Demonic Abilities: As a higher-classing demon, Gael holds some of the archetypal powers that one might expect from one of his kind. He can enter Hell and depart as he pleases, is naturally resistant to fire, and, due to his particular lineage, can sense and feed off of the sin of Pride. In addition, one of the most powerful tools in his arsenal is the ability to form contracts. By contracting with Gael, he is able to perform miracles that would have otherwise been impossible to accomplish- at the price of the contractor’s soul, however.
Power One:Ribbon Magics: Gael has the ability to produce ribbons from his body. While this may sound like an incredibly mundane power, these “ribbons”, while appearing to be made out of some sort of silk or cloth, are incredibly durable. It’s possible for him to use them as shields as a result, weapons, extra limbs, or even as a means of suspending himself from the ceiling if he so desired.
Power Two:Doll Physiology: Gael is...unnatural, to say the least. He doesn’t bleed when stabbed, doesn’t experience pain, and, if someone were to open his body, they would make a rather disturbing discovery. His “innards” are little more than black ichor, congealing when exposed to air. If left alone, it’s quite feasibly for him to drag himself back together from little more than bits and pieces.

Appearance: Standing at a height of 5’6” feet, Madison is a man of fair complexion, with mellow features, dark eyes, and even darker curls that fall to his chin. These traits, however, tend to be overshadowed quite easily by his rather...interesting choice in wardrobe. Despite being male, and identifying as such, the researcher is almost always found donning a skirt and heels. As Madison leans naturally on the more androgynous side of the spectrum, it doesn’t take much use of makeup for him to become nearly indistinguishable from a woman. This hobby of his can easily confuse most people- especially if one has not been informed of his gender otherwise. Has a passion for wearing colorful, flowing dresses.
Personality: At heart, Madison is an open, good-natured individual. Mellow towards most everyone, regardless of their own feelings towards him, he’s usually willing to have polite chit-chat when his schedule allows him to do so, or even set aside time for the sole purpose of talking with a friend or acquaintance. He takes most things in stride, and it takes quite some time for him to get riled as a result- although, even then, it’s very rare for him to explode. His rage usually manifests itself as silent anger and disapproval, contrasting greatly against his usual sunny disposition. Age has also granted him an incredibly lackadaisical nature when dealing with the world around him, regardless of how bizarre or unusual it happens to be.
Bio: Born sometime after the Tuscarora War, Madison’s early life was...interesting, to say the least. The son of a less-than-rich-blacksmith, the boy was groomed from a young age to take up his father’s job when the time came, set to tinker with scraps of metal and failed works. Madison seemed quite content with his role, although he occasionally slacked off to read one of the few books his family had around the house. He helped around the shop, even attempting to make his own creations from time to time, but, after his sister’s death things began to change.
Madison developed a fascination with femininity. He began to don his sister’s old clothing, storing them away when his parents attempted to prevent the habit. He would take rouge and cologne from his mother’s room to try it on, wearing them around his room and attempting to replicate the styles he had seen on the streets. As time went on, Madison developed a reputation as a respectable young man (although his habit still remained)- albeit a bit of a gambler whenever he scrounged up enough coin. He had a sweetheart, and was considering going into politics, much to the approval of his parents.
It was around this time, the state of relative normality, that he was bitten. Almost immediately after learning what had happened, figuring out he was no longer human, Madison vanished. No longer bound by the unspoken law set by his time, he was able to throw himself into his “hobby”, perfecting his imitation of the female form with time. From time to time, Madison would temporarily shed his guise to participate in a conflict, although such events didn’t last long.
A few months back, Madison was approached to be a professor at a strange, new magical academy. Having honed his magical abilities over the years, and with a deep passion for knowledge, he agreed almost immediately.

Name: Nelos Oakleaf Gender: Male Species: Forest Spirit Room Number: 330 Rooming With: Princess Seninia Alignment: Good-Neutral Age: 13 Appearance: Nelos has green, semi curvy, shoulder length hair that's always tangled and unkempt. He has pale green skin, long pointed ears, golden eyes, and small claws on his hands and feet, as well as small, needle like fangs. He wears a blue tunic fastened with a basic leather belt with a stone buckle, tan pants, and a cloak made of deer hide and held in place by a raw gemstone. He never wears shoes.
Personality: Nelos is extremely mature for a thirteen year old, as he is the physical manifestation of an entire forest that has existed for over three thousand years. That being said, he IS still thirteen and will still act like one from time to time. He also knows very little of "civilized" society, leading to a great amount of confusion in certain circumstances. Overall, though, he is very wise and kind, knowing much but always wanting to learn more.
Bio:
Once upon a time, a traveler was on his way to somewhere from somewhere else. These two places matter no more than the traveler themselves, as none of them exist anymore. What is important, however, is that the traveler had to pass through a forest and across a great, rolling plane in order to get where they were going. As they passed through that forest, an oak seed managed to find it's way into the traveler's garments. The seed, you see, was curious to see what was outside of it's forest. Half way across the planes, however the seed fell off of it's unwitting transport. Left alone and with no one to care for it, the seed did what all abandoned seeds do and hid in the ground. Not surprisingly, the seed then grew into an oak tree, that then dropped it's own seeds, which then grew more trees. As the trees grew, they offered shade. The shade attracted animals, who then spread the seeds farther. Eventually, that one seed had grown into an entire forest, complete with rivers and rocks and animals and all else you would expect. This came to be know as the Wandering Forest. Yet through all of this, the great oak tree that now sat in the center of it's forest, watching and caring for all within itself, as all in it were part of it, had never lost is sense of curiosity. Realizing that forests, unlike seeds, cannot simply attach themselves to wondering travelers, it tried a different approach. It took a leaf out of the books of it's animals and began creating a new being within itself. It took many years, but the forest had many years at it's disposal, and eventually made a child to be venture forth and satisfy it's curiosity. That child, dubbed Nelos Oakleaf by the first humans it encountered, has been wandering for about a decade, learning all it can about the world outside of the Wandering Forest.

Personality: Sekhemi cannot feel pain or emotions, thanks to this, he is considered to be very selfish, and very mean. He doesn't care about life at all, he doesn't find any worth in it. He does what he wants, not what others want him to do. Bio: Sekhemi is an Egyptian Prince who rules with an iron fist. Time after time, Sekhemi has gone to war with other Kingdoms and slaughtered their men with his supernatural powers. His parents 'mysteriously' died the moment Sekhemi became old enough to rule. He claims he knows nothing of it but it was always obvious that even if he did he wouldn't tell you anyway. Besides nobody dared question their new ruler for they knew if they did Sekhemi would kill them. Destruction: Destruction is the biggest of all the demons. He is bulky and is the reason he he the strongest physically. Destruction is a warrior, he is prideful and arrogant. He seeks battles to test his strength, and will often show off his power before finishing off his opponent. He is very short tempered because of his pride. Tyrannican: Tyrannican is cocky and carefree. He knows that one's anger causes a clouded mind, which makes one's skills sloppy, which is the reason he is cocky, to make others angry and make their skills sloppy. Rytrinax: Rytrinax is super hyper active, he can't stay still at all. He is cocky, for the simply reason to make others attack him so he doesn't have to stand around and wait for the battle to start. Kakalukia: Kakalukia is the most dangerous demonic possession of them all, as he is sadistic and insane. He loves nothing more but to torture and make everyone go insane. He loves to play with his prey before he kills them. Kakalukia will create a never ending maze and trap his target's mind in there, rendering the body unconscious, and then watch as the prisoner tries to escape, until they lose all sanity they own. Kakalukia is all about mind tricks, he is a master of magic.
Bio: After years of studying magic from her grimoire, Miarikia discovered a forbidden spell which allowed her to take a form of a demon, as well as taking on the personality of that demon. She found out this was highly dangerous, as if one loses completely control and conscious then she will be trapped in the demons body, and will never be able to return to her old self. So she practiced at keeping her consciousness even under extreme situations, until she was ready for the spell. When she first activated it, she became Kakalukia. He immediately began to play mind tricks on everyone who lived in her village, until they all went insane, and committed suicide. By the time she returned to her normal self, everyone was dead and she was on her own, this is what made her angry and short tempered.

It was the normal progression to becoming a heartless, however, Shade kept hold of his memories due to his psychic powers, he was able to keep hold of them and remember his previous life.
