Avatar: The Legend of Rosai

Would anyone be interested in doing a roleplay set during the Aang Gang's timeline? I imagine it being another group of ragtag kids working together to undermine the Fire Nation whenever possible, like Jet's freedom fighters but without the corruption (or maybe with it, it depends on how the plot progresses )

I know it's a little basic, so if anyone has any better ideas, hmu

I'm on a major ATLA kick after binge-ing the series all weekend and I think it would be a lot of fun

Edit: Changes happened and we're now doing the story of the avatar after Korra, Rosai the sandbending Avatar. If you're interested, read the thread and make sure to ask to reserve a role before they're all filled up

Another idea is that the roleplay follows a group of refugees who travel to Ba Sing Se before the fire nation invades and the plot could transition into what they decide to do after the fire nation invades and everyone believes Aang is dead

Yeah, this is the problem with that particular era.

I'd be interested, but the setting does limit not only the bending, but the nations we can come from.

I'm allowing fire benders, earth benders, and water benders. It might be a little unlikely in canon but otherwise it would be too restrictive. The characters I want to use are a waterbender and firebender but I've written their backstory so it makes sense in the story, so I figure as long as it makes sense then it's fine

(And making sense is just like "my waterbender left the northern water tribe" or "my firebender didn't agree with the war so they left the fire nation")

@collectorofmyst setting it in another era is totally possible. We'll have to figure out a lot of stuff tho. We could always make up a different war that takes place before this one and then people could play as airbenders. We could also set it after Korra's story.
