Military Branch UNSC 105th Marine Expeditionary Unit - [SOC]/ODST
Appearance Whilst in most pictures he looks weathered in skin complexion, Lucas Hickery has quite a young-look, mostly because of his age. His height stands at around 5'11", being an average for most of the male helljumpers that serve the UNSC. His hair is usually left unattended too, despite the somewhat decent look to it, due to his remarks on wearing a helmet nullifying all attempts to present himself. His body shape is quite well-built, but not too much to brag about in comparison to the other, more brute-force ODSTs such as those who specialise in demolitions or engineering. Back to his face, his eyes glimmer an emerald-shade with his hair being the tone of a chocolate brown. A not-so-thin stubble sits around his chin and mouth on most occasions. Overly, he fits the standard description for any soldier, without having any special features that could easily make him noticable amongst some of the more famous ODST personnel.
Lucas Hickery's armour tends towards his specialisation, using a mobile electro-magnetic scanner as his helmet attachment. Though it can easily be mistaken for a sniper's visor, it's a lesser common variant that leans towards the detection and identification foreign and man-made powered machinery and gadgets usually left around by either insurrectionists or the Covenant Empire. Moving away from just his helmet, the shoulder-pauldrons are more towards the standard issue, some of the mid-waist and arms are slightly more balanced between flexibility and armour, in-between the lighter marksmen and the heavier demolitions specialists. Across his lower chest, a series of hard-case pouches can be found, where utilities such as surveying equipment and other anti-technical tools are located. The coloured stripe/secondary colour on Hickery's armour is a light shade of blue; in a specific manner, it is aqua.
>Fireteam Leader - General Purpose Specialist - Relations between Hickery and Griggs were solid, a good cooperation between them kept them alive in previous missions after their introduction. - K.I.A.
>Gunnery Sergeant Lucinda 'Knock' Graham
>2IC - Heavy Weapons Specialist - Whilst Graham and Hickery got off on the wrong foot in their first missions and impressions, they eventually grew to tolerate one another. This eventually led to a decent friendship that kept them both alive for long enough. - K.I.A.
>Fireteam NCO - General Purpose Specialist - Nickelson and Hickery never got on and it was always going to be apparent. Sometimes, Nickelson's spite for Hickery as a person has interfered with their performance, being put down on UNSC records for his troublemaking behaviour. - K.I.A.
>Lance Corporal Helen Farnsworn
>Fireteam JNCO - General Purpose Specialist - The best relation towards Hickery, Farnsworn acted as Hickery's greatest ally in all situations. The two were a military match, equalising their knowledge and teamwork towards improving each other's performance on the field. This proved very effective. - M.I.A.
>Private First Class Hiro 'Firework' Natamoto
>Fireteam Unit - Demolitions Specialist - The connection between Hickery and Natamoto was always quite well-off. The two had been quite close off duty, and so they remained on duty. The closest thing to a brother that Natamoto has, Hickery is seen as a viable asset to his commitment to Fireteam Chariot. - M.I.A.
>Private William 'Crack' Osuma
>Fireteam Unit - Sniper/Marksmen Specialist - Osuma was more of a silent type, being the newest assigned member to the team by the time Operation: Grey Axe showed up. However, the two had managed to share a few missions with one another, increasing the respect they had towards each other. - M.I.A.
>Private Yusuf Lincoln
>Fireteam Unit - Close-Quarters Specialist - Lincoln was never a loud solider, nor ODST, and so he mostly held no connection to virtually every member of Chariot, except with Osuma. - K.I.A.
>Private Pauline Austran
>Fireteam Unit - General Purpose Specialist - Austran and Hickery were quite good friends when they first met, even sharing a few meals with one another off-duty in order to get to know one another better. All part of Austran's plan to know her team first, then know her enemy, she became a very close friend to Hickery in the short time she remained in the group without the arrival of Operation: Grey Axe - M.I.A.
Specialisation Technical Devices Specialist
Personality Whilst talented on the field, the mindset of Lucas Hickery isn't as most would expect. Sometimes he faces a slight anxiety about missions not going fully according to plan, as it can result in serious harm for his team-mates or other allied personnel within the area. That is a mindset that sometimes sticks deep within him, like a dagger from behind. Anxiety aside, Lucas likes to think of himself as a well-rounded ODST unit; there are no doubts that he isn't the most perfect out of his Fireteam, but that seems to be something he can accept. He cherishes his appearance amongst Chariot, a fireteam renowned for its high-operation count, as well as large amount of units per Fireteam. His confidence on the greater behalf is regularly quite high as with most ODST personnel. His attachment to UNSC Marines and other ODST personnel makes him quite the decent ally, but the friendships he makes can be easily broken by a few plasma shots.
Lucas Hickery can be quite the talkative person when downtime is ever available and definitely has a lot of stories about his past life, both military and civilian wise, that can reflect on many morals or wondrous achievements he's picked up along the way. These interesting tales have taught him to value his team, which he has easily picked up and settled inside his mind. The sense of community, knowing that whoever's back you cover, they cover yours in return without a minute to think. When it comes to having to long-wolf it, that can be his issue. Whilst his marksmen skills aren't too bad, having multiple fire-modes on his BR55 Service Rifle, his combat skills are honed to suit his fighting style and to attempt dealing with any close-by hostiles.
Biography Lucas Hickery was born on the planet of Tribute, not too far out from the larger cities, where he lived a close relationship with his father, a current Naval Officer at the time of his young age. As a father, Henry took good care of Lucas, eventually allowing him and his wife to leave the planet and stay in localised systems so that they could never be too far away from him, no matter what mission he was on. Eventually, after a few years of travelling, Lucas began to be based at the station known as 'Reading Station', a UNSC outpost located within an asteroid field that specialised in troop garrisoning and hospitality for passing medical vessels. Here, Lucas underwent further education, under the watchful eye of his mother Jennifer and personal officer (Assigned by Henry, of course) Kilo Roisla. He learnt an early rendition of tactics and UNSC ship identification, as well as sharpening his awareness of regular UNSC activity throughout the galaxy. This developed his early interest for the Military on a grand scale in comparison to simply having a Naval Officer as a father.
However, this ideal plan proved to be immensely flawed, as a small, seemingly alone Corvette from the Covenant Empire began to lay waste to the UNSC Station Lucas was currently living within. The scanners weren't updated enough to catch the Corvette floating into UNSC space, and no one was able to trace where it came from. The possible ideas of a fleet sitting on their doorstep had terrified the personnel aboard the station very quickly. Caught off guard, this UNSC garrison failed to block the entrances in time to stop the infantry from securing their landing post. Large groups of Sanghelli, Yanme'e and Unggoy quickly took control of the main hanger, cutting off the escaping routes for fleeing UNSC and civilian targets. This began the Reading-Station incident.
The strike had left the UNSC entrance vulnerable, which began a 2-day siege upon the Station. With the escape routes seemingly cut off, the civilians that hadn't been killed in the first bombardment, Lucas included, were escorted by large groups of UNSC Defensive Army units. These soldiers were to be the key stronghold for the integrity of this battle, as most communications were being jammed by the Corvette's inner technological systems. Doors were barricaded off, and many soldiers offered to hold key corridors until it killed them, which would be one of the main sacrifices to win the battle overall. Lucas witnessed firsthand a taste of what combat was really like against the new-enemy to the decade, the Covenant Empire. Fourteen soldiers were tasked with protecting Lucas and his Mother across a short hallway, but a fifteen minute skirmish left seven of them dead. Many of the doors were sealed tightly to prevent the Covenant landing parties from getting too close.
By sneaking into the hanger and reopening its blast-doors, a large group of volunteers, mostly soldiers and a few civilians, quickly rushed out to attempt a landing on the Corvette. Whilst they were not heard of for a long time, eventually the communications jam went offline, allowing the call for reinforcements to be made. Eventually, the Corvette must have called a retreat order, making the remaining Covenant forces depart and leave the nearly eradicated base as they'd left it. Whilst the jamming systems were knocked out, saving the station all-together, Lucas learnt from his younger age about the sacrifice of the soldiers who went in, apparently all dying to complete their objective. This inspired Lucas, eventually beginning his path towards the UNSC.
The issues on Tribute were spicing up between the Insurrectionists, Covenant Scouting parties and the UNSC, but at that point Lucas had been transferred to elsewhere to begin his training as a UNSC Marine. Enlisting into the 84th Technical Corps, a specialised unit designed to scan, retrieve and investigate the technology and devices of the Covenant through harsh extraction missions, Lucas had made a few lucky escapes from failed missions. Lucas also had developed a sense of hopelessness in some cases, watching newly made friends go down like a sack-of-potatoes in some combat experiences. The several field-operations that involved both the UNSC Marines and UNSC Air Force to tackle objectives together made it very easy for Lucas to become more open about his choices as a soldier. Eventually, after Operation: Rising Noon, the standard UNSC Marine got to see his first taste of the ODST specialists. After a retrieval operation went sky-high in how much shit appeared, the intensity began to pick the friends of Lucas off one by one. Eventually, the call for reinforcements came in, and within 2 minutes HEV pods entered the atmosphere and crashed nearby, launching out a new-branch (At least to Lucas) of unique soldiers who were equipped to face the worst. They were nicknamed the Spartans who were not, at least to the 84th.
After the Operation was eventually deemed a failure, the instant jump into hell that the ODST did once again increased the respect Lucas Hickery had for them. This respect eventually turned into aspiration, as he signed up for the Voluntary unit that excelled in the Orbital Drop sequence. Eventually, he entered the initial four-step training, which would eventually have him pass. Along the way of his training, he was introduced to Helen Farnsworn, someone who would become his greatest friend in his life in the ODST. The two shared a tremendous amount of time mingling about with other operators, eventually gaining access into the real-scenarios that could train them to work under dangerous circumstances. The training payed off once it was all over, as the two finally exceeded into the Orbital Drop Shock Troopers. Once he had gained his ranks, Hickery once again returned to his comfort zone of AI and Technical analysis, applying the knowledge to the field and acting as an intelligence soldier and disposal unit when in the field.
As listed on his service record, Lucas was entered in a series of operations within two teams of ODSTs. At first he was part of a squad simply titled 'Romeo 8', which was later disbanded due to many casualties in the field. As life went on, the formation of Fireteam Chariot, the soon-to-be-many named fireteams specifically created in mind of the Mission to Oman, occurred. Many of these fireteams, mostly based between the UNSC Army, Marines and ODSTs, were handpicked from their posts on Reach at the time based upon records and psychological analysis as they prepared to embark on a perilous journey to a planet many expected to return home from...
>Major UNSC Marine Operations
>Operation: Black Ice >Objective-based insertion into a Covenant mining facility in order to extract weapons for analysis. - Success with minimal casualties.
>Operation: Nimrod >Objective-based drop into a heated battle in order to reach a jamming system for both analysis and deconstruction. - Partial success. Target was minorly damaged, making analysis difficult. Small casualties.
>Operation: Ethical Grace >Support-based defence against a Covenant raiding party on UNSC Greater-England, an orbital battle platform defending local system planets. - Failure with many endured casualties.
>Operation: Mortar Flash >Objective-based insertion into a heated battlefield. Target was a covenant generator needed for analysis, but a larger covenant force encircled the 84th and nearly wiped out the Squads. ODST support necessary. - Failure with too many casualties lost, barely any time to extract survivors.
>Major ODST Operations
>Operation: Desert Burst >Raiding-based drop into a Covenant FOB currently terrorising the system's inhabitants. - Success with mediocre casualties. Covenant FOB recaptured by UNSC ODSTs.
>Operation: Vigilant Past >Counter-Attack objective to support UNSC Army troops being bombarded by aerial and ground-based units - Success with large casualties.
>Operation: Grey-Axe >Assassination mission against a high-ranking Covenant Fleet master - Presumed Failure, too many troops lost, two cruisers destroyed and thousands left behind on the planet's surface.
SSgt. Christopher “Pops” Snipes - Squad Leader - KIA
The squad’s commanding officer, Snipes was the one that always managed to drag the squad out of the mud, regardless of how deep they were. His almost fatherly care for his men earned him the nickname “pops” and his men would march through fire for him. Sadly, he became isolated from his squad by an ambush and when they finally reached him, he was long dead, gutted by an energy sword.
Sgt. Michael “Drone” O’Hare - Team Leader - KIA
The men under his command used to joke that to kill him, the Covenant would have to aim for his head as the man did not have a heart. Indeed, Sergeant O’hare was a blunt man, disliked by his men and liked by superiors for his ‘macho’ approach, often pushing his men over their limit and blaming everyone else for his mistakes. It was one such mistake that led to his death at the hands of several Unggoy, bludgeoned to death by the small aliens.
Cpl. John “Tube” Sheridan - AT Rifleman
Sheridan is a friendly, easy going, yet serious soldier who carries a really big stick. He is noted by his peers for his seemingly unending patience and memory, as he’s memorised most known information about the Covenant vehicles he’s encountered, something that’s kept him and his squad alive on numerous occasions.
LCpl. Adrian “Wrench” Shepard -Engineer
A big, man with a gruff exterior, Adrian is the squad’s go-to man when it comes to anything to do with vehicles or electronics. Although he’s usually quiet and polite, he will fly off the handle whenever he sees someone abusing their equipment, claiming that they will come to him to fix it once they break it. Adrian also has limited experience with Covenant weapons and small vehicles.
PFC. Ian “Notso” Toogood - Marksman
The squad’s newest member, Ian is the type to shoot first and then decide whether or not he will bother asking questions. But despite his impulsive and bordering on childish personality, he stays remarkably calm under pressure, no matter what is flying around his head.
Sgt. David “Hippie” Rosenfield- Team Leader - KIA
Sergeant Rosenfield was a caring family man. Seeing his men as extended family, he acted as counterbalance to Sgt. O’Hare’ no nonsense approach. His death at the hands of a Brute’s gravity hammer left a huge dent in the squad’s morale and a burning desire to avenge their old man.
Cpl. Miranda “Chef” Nero - Medic - WIA, missed extraction
Though serious and seemingly detached from the camaraderie among the troops, Nero is nonetheless incredibly dedicated to serving her fellow soldiers. She is often seen going above and beyond her duties, forgoing sleep and putting herself into harm's way to provide the best aid possible. During an ambush, a piece of rubble fell on her and crushed her right shin. Although she can walk, the squad must carry her when they have to move fast, but refuse to leave her behind.
LCpl. Edward “Twitch” Harper - Pointman
PFC. Patrick “Lineman” Defort - RTO
Defort has no brain-to-mouth filter. No matter the situation, he always seems to have a sarcastic remark to lift the spirits of his comrades or show his frustration. Although he doesn’t show it, Patrick is quite intelligent and follows orders to the letter.
Rank: Lance Corporal
Specialisation: Pointman/Pathfinder Personality: In the field, Edward is as stoic as it gets, earning him his ironic nickname. Edward likes to plan ahead, get sufficient resources first and hates when things don’t go according to plan as he is terrible at adapting to unexpected consequences, making him a poor leader. As such, he prefers to be the grunt because he doesn't feel confident making decisions, especially those that can cost lives. While he has no problems following an experienced leader into the fray, he didn’t get to where he is by seeking trouble and diving in head first. Although somewhat cold, he recognises the value of teammates and will go out of his way to keep them safe if possible.
During downtime, he’s usually a friendly fellow with low tolerance for optimists. But when things take the turn for the worst, his bitter side comes to light.
Biography: Edward was born on Reach to a family he’s never met. For reasons unknown to him, he’s been put up for abortion mere hours after he was born. This has led to his bitter attitude and largely molded his pessimistic nature. At the age of three, he was adopted by Geoff Harper, a cook in the World Cuisine. But despite his upbringing by a loving, though adoptive father, the thought of being abandoned still burned within him. Looking for something meaningful to do, he joined the Army at the age of 18.
Perhaps it was his upbringing that gave rise to not only his bitterness, but also his tendency to keep others safe. The definition of a pathfinder’s job: go first and mark a path so others could pass safely. It seemed perfect.
(Army) Evacuation of Emerald Cove (2542)
Edward assisted in evacuation of Emerald Cove.
(Army) Battle of Miridem (2544)
Tasked with protecting an unit of AA tanks. His platoon, aided by the AA vehicles, stood their ground against a Covenant attack, but suffered moderate casualties and lost two out of three AA tanks. Later, they were forced to abandon most of their equipment and evacuate as the planet was glassed.
(ODST) Battle of Sargasso (2546)
Edward’s first ODST deployment. The squad’s task was reconnaissance and acting as artillery spotters behind Covenant lines. Near the end of the operation, the squad was discovered and retreated under fire, sustaining light casualties.
(ODST) Battle of Skopje (2547)
Charged with protecting the shipyards. After several hours, Edward has suffered a gunshot wound from a Brute plasma rifle and blunt trauma to his head and was evacuated.
Affiliations: Geoff Harper (Stepfather, New Alexandria, Reach)
Notable Traits:
Nicknamed “Twitch” for his stoic nature.
Edward’s beard conceals light burns on the left side of his face sustained during the Battle of Skopje.
Appearance Srin stands about 5'5" (165 cm) and weighs 120-ish pounds (54~ kilos). She has a thin build but makes up for it with a wiry strength that is not to be underestimated. Her skin is fairly pale and burns rather than tans when exposed to sunlight. Her face is an inverted triangular shape, with a small pointed chin and a face that widens at the cheekbones. Her nose is small, slightly upturned and the area surrounding it is covered with a few freckles. Her large eyes are a light brown that borders on amber and her thin eyebrows arch in the middle, giving her an expression of constant surprise or excitement at first glance. When she smiles, she smiles with great enthusiasm, making her mouth look fairly wide. Only her upper teeth are visible when she smiles. Several squadmates, past and present, have made fun of her smile in the past, calling it "deranged" and "creepy". Her hair is auburn with streaks of light blonde running in it and it's about as long as regulations will reasonably allow. A few locks of her hair seem to permanently hang in front of her right eye, much to her officers' chagrin.
Attire Army BDU, CH252 Helmet, Combat knife mounted on the left shoulder, up-armoured boots
Weaponry MA37 ICWS, M6C Magnum, M9 HE-DP grenades, M168 Demo Charges, various other explosive devices of dubious origin
Fireteam 2 Bravo 9 Sgt. Penlan - KIA Cpl. Vjun - KIA Pfc. Chéreau - Active Pvt. Li - MIA
Rank Private First Class
Specialisation Explosives, Demolitions
Personality Private First Class Chéreau is a dedicated and spirited soldier who never lets an obstacle dampen her mood. She's quick to volunteer for any kind of mission no matter the personal risk. Despite her enthusiasm she has a few quirks that set her aside from the average soldier. She seems to enjoy her job blowing stuff up a little too much. They say you can't get into demolitions without being a little crazy and in this case it's probably true. Srin also has somewhat of a daredevil streak as well, enjoying excitement and the feeling of adrenaline. However she can also come off as naive or childish due to her eternal good mood and seemingly unlucky or accident prone nature which makes her somewhat of a target for jokes and mockery, thankfully she tries to take it all in stride. The only thing that really gets under her skin is the nickname Jinxie, which she picked up after her last squad was wiped out and a string of unfortunate accidents in close proximity to her. Overall, what she lacks in brute force and sheer skill with a gun she makes up for with attitude and destructive ability with explosives.
Biography Born on New Harmony, Srin's parents worked for a colonial construction company, where she first learned about explosives. She would sneak off and watch her parents operate controlled demolitions or the explosive clearing of land. Fire and explosives became a lifelong fascination. When she was seven years old the Battle of New Harmony took place in 2537. Young Srin watched from her backyard in total awe as one of the only UNSC victories in space unfolded right above her. Bright colours of violet and pink as well as orange and red detonated in the night sky as ships were gutted and burned in the atmosphere. She was utterly transfixed by the display of lights and eruptions and from that night forward she decided she wanted to join the UNSC.
In school she studied engineering and demolitions and apprenticed for her parents in their construction business as a teenager. It was decent work but it never really captured her imagination or really scratched her idealistic itch she had developed after the battle she had witnessed. The week she turned 18 she enlisted in the UNSC Army as a combat engineer due to her past experience. After an extended basic training she was finally deployed.
On her first deployment there was an incident with an Officer's Warthog and a few fusion coils and although Srin was nowhere near at the time and cleared of all blame officially, several persistent rumors placed her responsible. During a stint aboard a frigate, a maintenance failure had Srin almost sucked out of an airlock in the middle of orbit. Only a quick-thinking ensign saved her, and although she escaped with only a minor bruise, talk of her jinx soon grew. Even routine, expected breakdowns became blamed on her bad luck, such as guns jamming, electronics failing etc. It was around this time that she picked up her nickname. A joke at first, it eventually stuck, much to Chéreau's annoyance.
Eventually she was deployed on Fumirole along with numerous other UNSC Army elements to counter the Covenant invasion that was ongoing. It was her first combat deployment and it ended up wiping out her entire squad, leaving her with only a plasma burn to her shoulder and further cementing her reputation as bad luck incarnate. Following the battle, she was transferred to Reach for what was supposed to be a quiet deployment but, lacking volunteers and manpower, before long her unit was folded into the larger battlegroup by ONI in preparation for OP Grey Axe.

He holds a deep hatred for the Covenant and can sometimes lose focus of his current goal.
Biography: Vick was born on humanities home world and was raised with the image of a horrible enemy slowly growing closer to his home. He idolized those who were brave enough to go and fight this enemy with no fear, including his older sister and brother who joined the UNSC Marines right after their graduation. As Vick watched them leave for the war he had made up his mind to follow in their footsteps the very chance he was able to. After years of work and constant studying Vick had finally graduated and enlisted into the UNSC Marine Corps. Sadly though after the first week of basic he had received heart breaking news of his brothers death after him and his team were ambushed. His death hit Vick with much dread and sadness, but it also hardened his resolve to keep going and join his sister on the front lines. Rank Hospital corpsman third class
Specialisation Technically he isn't a part of the marines or the ODST, he is a corpsman from the UNSC navy, a medic.
Personality He works religiously, as in he loves to help people, when in a combat situation he blacks out and forgets about the battle, focussing only on the wounded. Due to his forgetfulness of dangerous situations he becomes insanely courageous, leaping into the battlefield, away from the safety of a trench, to save the life of the wounded, sometimes he gets there a bit too late and realises his position trying to aid a dead man and is face to face with alien blaster fire. He's pissed about being left behind on a planet, alone, with zero to not much of a chance of survival, nevertheless he does his job and people survive.
Biography at a young age he was enticed to join the navy, always being interested in the medical area he joined the hospital Corpsmen. For three years he served as a medic in the navy, working in the confines of several UNSC ships until he was drafted and became a marine medic/corpsman, though, he still stayed in the headquarters as a medic for evacees and trainees who bumped a knee. Another two years and he was sent to serve on the front lines as a combat medic/corpsman, this is his first battle in the front lines as a corpsman and he's scared shitless.
Service-History -Countless patrol raids from pirates, corsairs, aliens and smugglers. -Served in the field hospitals on his home World, treating wounded soldiers from off World battles and other trainees.
Affiliations Captain Price, his cousin in another offworld operation.
Notable Traits he can make a stilt with just about anything.
Military Branch Orbital Drop Shock Trooper - 19th ODST Squad
Appearance Rylei is a 5'9, athletic young woman who comes in at around 65 kilograms, largely due to her hard-line training as an ODST. Her short hair is of a deep, dark brown with a faint hint of red, accompanied by equally brown eyes. Her skin tone is tanned, rarely ever changing colour from exposure to the sun, and most of her definition is evident in her arms and legs. People tend to think she's scowling a lot, but that's just her face - she's not entirely evil.
Attire Rylei uses the Sharpshooter BDU variant, removing the standard right pauldron for more freedom and a toning down on chestplate armour slightly to increase maneuverability from a prone position. The left pauldron is larger and longer than it is originally, though not quite as long as traditional Sharpshooter pauldrons, serving as excellent protection for the arm and acting as a shield while prone. There is an optic function added to her helmet, too, which helps her with long-distance shots.
Weaponry M392 DMR, M6G PDW, UNSC standard issue combat knife, M9 HE-DP grenades, and a grappling hook.
Squad
Second Lieutenant Morgan Heights - The cool yet not-so-calm leader of the ODST squad always managed to empathise with the rookies. His instincts were trusted more than any plan. M.I.A.
First Sargent Simone Euipore - The oldest member of the squad, Simone always had a good sense of judgement, and an even better sense of where to aim your shots. The sharpshooter which taught Rylei how Token worked. M.I.A.
Gunnery Sargent Chloe Michigan - A no-nonsense medic with a sadistic sense of humour. As a rule of thumb, never piss off the person who can keep you alive. M.I.A.
Corporal Karma Ostrolonov - A quiet CQC expert with a certain knack for languages. Often provides the best life advice and loves music. M.I.A.
Lance Corporal Laslow Harper - The womaniser with a thing for pain, Laslow fails to understand what the word 'no' means. Forever optimistic, he was the warmest welcome to Token Rylei received. M.I.A.
Private First Class Hibana Yuki - A cold-shouldered ODST with a competitive streak with Rylei. Always on the look out to prove herself and score a promotion before everyone else. M.I.A.
Private First Class Alexander Cormack - Working with explosives worked well for Cormack. He could blow up bad guys and not get shot at. Needs to work on his aim though. M.I.A.
Private First Class Rylei Xandre - One of the three new recruits for Fireteam Token, Rylei is attentive and serious. She tends to read a lot in her spare time, and shows the qualities of a great beginner sniper. M.I.A.
Rank Private First Class
Specialisation Marksman - able to act as a sniper, if a rifle is provided. Doubles as an unqualified pilot.
Personality Rylei is the kind of person to do whatever is told of her. Always attentive to rank and doing things by the books, she has a firm understanding of the fact that experience trumps everything. Sometimes she will complain, but will never truly defy an order, and believes firmly in the confidence of her superiors. Though she appears totally serious and driven on the surface, she often has mental episodes of apathy where she won't want to do anything except read, given the chance. She has the makings for a great sniper in the fact she's very patient and attentive, however her lack of experience in the field is a worry. She's a talented soldier who needs a guiding hand.
Biography Rylei Xandre is the oldest child of the Xandre family. Born and raised on Reach into prestige, she was groomed to take over Xandre Co, one of Reach's largest family-owned businesses. Having grown up in New Alexandria, Rylei has never been shy of heights, and always took a liking to the scenic views provided by her family's apartment within one of the many towering skyscrapers. She would often sketch out the skies with a particular attention to detail, and when she wasn't sketching, she would be reading, either for study or leisure.
This attention to detail would later grant Rylei the position of marksman for Token Squad, however it was her interest in piloting which got her signed up for the UNSC. She'd always, ALWAYS been a nut for flying. Every time she and her family went on flights, be it for business or vacation, Rylei always wanted to sit as close to the front as possible to see if she could work out the controls. Space cruises especially had a particular sway over Rylei, and she long dreamed of having her own ship to pilot.
Yet the question remains: Why the UNSC?
In truth, her primary guiding force was fiction. Fiction in the music she heard, the games she played, the ships she drew and the stories she'd read. Thanks to fiction, Rylei became heavily invested in physical and mental fitness during her teenage years, and began using virtual reality as a training ground for real life. It eventually became a routine of hers to train marksmanship in VR, as well as learn all the basic training.
By the time enlistment had come around, she already stood out among the other rookies.
She met Alexander and Hibana during training and the three, despite heavily contrasting personalities, developed a kind of connection. Each soldier went their separate ways into their respective fields, with Rylei taking up piloting. There was one thing she'd neglected a lot during her time playing in VR though:
Playing a proper flight simulation.
Despite scoring so well in marksmanship, her dream to become a pilot looked bleak. Turned out her lack of former experience in VR had resulted in a mediocre performance in the air, which didn't bode well for her dream to become a pilot. As her father was against her becoming a pilot due to their apparently high casualty rates, there was very little breathing room for Rylei.
So she became a marksman. Funnily enough, she, Hibana and Alex were again put together as recruits to a UNSC Marine Forward Recon team, and as a result grew quite close. The three stuck together throughout much of their time in Forward Recon, and eventually grew quite close as a team and as friends. Eventually the time came for a transfer: Token Squad, an ODST team who specialised in Forward Recon, had lost valuable men whose positions needed to be filled. The trio were the best match, and so they were moved from Marines to ODSTs barely a few days before Operation Grey Axe. Dropping in, Token Squad was late to the party, and bad drops resulted in many members getting split up. Currently all members of Token Squad are M.I.A.
Service-History Operation Singing Lady [2550] - An ambush set for a large Covenant force. Highly successful operation, with minimal casualties and total defeat of Covenant primary forces plus their reinforcements.
Operation Clockwork [2551] - A Corvette left behind by the Covenant is forcefully taken from its remaining defenders. A successful operation, with Rylei receiving small burns on her body which have since healed.
Operation Ghost of Midnight [2551] - Marine forward recon teams sent to scout a Covenant F.O.B. for an artillery strike. One of the teams was discovered and, unfortunately, only two made it back alive from that team. A large success with minimal casualties.
Operation Swan [2552] - A taxing, heavy frontal assault on a Covenant base. Rylei and her team provided sniper support for their allies. Success with large casualties.
Transfer to ODST [2552]
Operation Grey Axe [2552] - In-progress. Rylei W.I.A., team M.I.A.
Affiliations Hibana - Rylei's self-proclaimed rival. The two work well together if the need ever arises, however don't expect them to cooperate if there's a choice. Somehow they're friends. She's an engineer.
Alexander Cormack - The passive demo man who cannot aim. He's always been supportive of both Rylei and Hibana, able to mediate for the both of them. Always has a joke lined up which appeals to Rylei's sense of humour.
Token Squad - Although she barely knows them, Rylei has made the decision to trust Token with her life, and they have chosen the same with her.
Xandre Family - Rylei's family back on Reach. She hasn't been able to contact them all year, though wanted to do so after her first mission as an ODST. Wants to prove to her father she can protect herself.
Notable Traits - Bookworm. - Highly analytical; a little too logical at times. Lacks a whole lot of common sense. - Inventive. Just check out her grappling hook! - Posh accent which sounds British.
Military Branch 29th Hospital Corpsmen Battalion, UNSC Navy
Appearance Caucasian, though slightly tanned due to her eastern European family heritage. Not the tallest, she only stands at around 150cm (4'11"), and weighs just under 45 kilograms(98 pounds). Despite her age, she still has a relatively young-looking face seeing as though her life has been mostly stress-free compared to most other humans living in the era of the Human-Covanent War. She has a long and noticable scar under her left eye which goes down to her chin and slightly down onto her neck, although the scar is less noticable there. She received the scar in her youth when she got into a fight with a group of adolescent boys terrorising her younger brother, and in response, she was cut by one of them. She kept the scar to remind others not to screw with her. She has dark-green eyes, as well as bright and fiery red hair, which she has never dyed and most likely will never dye.
Attire Standard UNSC Marine Corps Battle Dress Uniform, only with a red cross on the helmet, chest, and right shoulder.
Weaponry BR55 Service Rifle, M6C PDW, Standard UNSC Combat Knife, Several Bio-foam canisters, standard medical supplies(sutures, painkillers, shots of morphine/adrenaline, bandages, splints, etc.)
Fireteam
Sergeant Stephen "G" Hellie- KIA
Liked by his Fireteam for not being an asshat like most other sergeants, Hellie met an unfortunate end when Fireteam Spitfire's Pelican came under fire as they were making landfall, and crashed to the ground. Hellie's safety straps broke with the hard landing, propelling him out of his seat and into the opposite end of the Pelican, instantly breaking his neck.
Crewman Lillian "Red" Kensington- ACTIVE
Being the Fireteam's only trained medic, Lillian was liked by everybody for her innate ability to stitch them up no matter what injuries they sustained, critical or otherwise. She took command of the Fireteam after the sergeant was killed, though that was short lived.
Private Liam "Vocab" Bolswichtz- KIA
The more vocal of the group, Liam grew up in the slums of Earth, and as such adopted their very different manner of speech, usually using colloquialisms of words the rest of the Fireteam had never heard before. He was killed in the first firefight the team came across, getting stuck in the throat by a very well thrown plasma grenade. The resulting explosion almost removed his body from existence, and he will never be able to be identified.
Private Edwin "Ed" Kensington- KIA
Lillian's brother, he was the youngest of the group, only 23. He met a grizzly end, which Lillian witnessed, at the hands of a trio of Kig-Yar, which literally pulled him apart while he was still crying and screaming. Perhaps the most impactful death Lillian ever saw, and with good reason.
Rank Crewman(equal to Lance Corporal)
Specialisation Combat Medic
Personality Lillian is light-hearted, and can almost always be seen with a smile on her face, though not since her brother was gruesomely killed. She prefers to not make significant connections with anybody(exception being family), due to her being a medic, and it's not uncommon for people close to her to die despite her best efforts to save them. She doesn't mind jokes, though she isn't very tolerant of her subordinates, including superiors, making them in combat, and she will openly voice her disapproval. Out of combat she likes spending time looking through mementos of her civilian life, though she will eventually put them down to spend some time with her comrades.
Biography Lillian was born on the first of January, 2521, and spent her youth with her mother, as her father was a miner, and so spent the majority of his time away from his family. She took an early interest in biology and anatomy, mostly due to the fact her mother was a doctor as well, and so she spent a lot of her time in the hospital. Her world turned upside down when she was nine, as a Covanent fleet was detected in the Eridanus system. What was usually a very placid and calm environment turned chaotic in a matter of hours as families scrambled to get onto evacuation shuttles and get away from the doomed system as fast as possible. Lillian, her mother, and her young infant brother escaped on one of the first shuttles, though she hasn't seen her father since that day, and to this day doesn't know what happened to him. She and her family moved to New Alexandria, on Reach, and life went on. Soon she got over her father disappearing, and continued with her life. When she wasn't at school or looking after her brother Edwin, Lillian was with her mother in whatever hospital she was stationed in. Years went past, she got the scar on her cheek from the schoolyard bullies who picked on her brother when she was only 18 years old, though they came out of it worse, seeing as though Lillian was good at making friends, and those friends came to her and her brother's rescue. She kept the scar, despite it affecting her youthful beauty. Time went past again, she became a nurse at the age of 19, assisting in the hospital her mother worked at, and attained the status of doctor at 25. After another year, she decided that she wanted to do more for the human cause than just sit in safety and treat regular patients, and so she applied to the Navy. Seeing her qualifications, she was quickly transferred into the Hospital Corps, which Lillian was quite content with, and as such, and as such, she learnt how to kill a person. Most of her time wasn't in combat, it was mostly medical personnel duty. Eventually, the war got worse, and she was forced into combat, where she quickly started losing teammates, which forced her to be a bit more distant with her comrades, as loss was something she never coped well with. She was also adopted as "Red" by her other Marine comrades, partly because of her red hair, the red cross on her chest, and the amount of blood she's usually covered in, at first she didn't like it, but it grew on her, and now she finds it has a nice ring to it. Some more time passed, and her brother, unknowing to her, joined the Marine Corps, and eventually was assigned to her Fireteam at the start of Operation Grey Axe, which she absolutely exploded at, berating him for multiple reasons, mostly joining the Marines knowing how dangerous it was, and quickly asked for him to be transferred off the operation, which was denied. Her worries came to light when her entire Fireteam was killed in the opening moments of the Operation, which has scarred her significantly.
Service-History
Operation Warsaw- She was part of one of many teams that were to provide a rearguard to a convoy of UNSC transports that were heading to a warzone cut off from the rest of the UNSC. Operation was a failure, the transports were destroyed before they arrived at their destination, and Lillian's squad was killed by one of the transports exploding, the only reason Lillian remained alive was because she was on a Hornet being extracted after taking a Needler shot to the stomach.
Operation Nest Kick- Assigned the only medic on a small operation to infiltrate a Yanme'e nest and detonate several explosive charges, Lillian performed her duty well past everybody's expectations, keeping the casualties to nothing, as she helped everyone get out alive, although some had lost a limb or two. The operation was a success, and the Yanme'e nest was destroyed in almost textbook fashion.
Operation Skyfall- A large-scale operation meant to push the Covanent off of a vital location and establish a base of operations for the rest of the UNSC forces. A partly successful operation, Lillian's fireteam along with many others landed and pushed Covanent forces out of the immediate area, however, they were unable to establish a proper base due to the multitude of Covanent counter-attacks. The operation remained a stalemate where no side could gain the upper hand until a single team of Spartan II's landed behind Covanent lines and assassinated almost every high-ranking Sangheili in that detachment of Covanent, quickly forcing the Covanent to fall-back. That was Lillian's first and only interaction with a Spartan, as she was lucky enough to operate on one to save her life. Later she learned that her name was Maria-062.
Affiliations

Notable Traits
She has a slight German accent she picked up off her Mother.
Dancer.
She draws whenever she can, although lately she lacks the drive to do so, seeing as though her brother was killed in front of her.
Place of Birth: Hunter was born in a space station above Sol IV (Mars)
Military Branch: Hunter has himself placed in the UNSC Marine corps in attempts to "See the Galaxy"
Appearance: Hunter stands at about 5'11" with dark brown hair and Caucasian skin. His hair despite his many attempts to groom it normally tends to seem messy, and he has facial hair to match. Normally his facial hair is a medium to heavy stubble across his chin and the sides of his face. He has light muscle to his frame but overall it tends to look on the leaner side of things. He can also be seen slouching a lot whenever time allows it. If someone was to pay close attention they may notice the burns and scars across his fingers and hands, this is from many attempts ( And failed attempts ) At trying to fix things he has no idea how to fix, or causing trouble.
Attire: Hunter wears a Standard Marine BDU with forest camouflage. The padding and armor is places on all major positions with the exceptions of some joints and direct face protection. The main differences in his personal BDU being the satchel he keeps under his shoulder for ammo and rations, and a small crank radio from home as his personal belonging.
As of this moment Mudak's Uniform has a nice pretty blackspot ont he front of it from getting shot with a plasma bolt. He survived fine more or less but that will need replacing.
Weaponry: -DMR -M90 shotgun -A small collection of Grenades -Small tactical hatchet
Fireteam:
Corporal Higgins: -Team leader -Specialized with explosives -M.I.A.
Private McCain -Squad marksmen -Shot things -M.I.A.
Private first class Gregory: -Combat engineer -Low level hacker -Also M.I.A.
Rank: Private
Specialisation: Hunter Mudak is listed as a riflemen, though he is also his fireteam's runner up marksmen and the team's designated driver. He will also like to call himself the jack of all trades master of none, master of none is more accurate.
So officially, Riflemen, and Runner up team marksmen.
Personality: Hunter is the kind of person who will try to make a laugh of a bad situation to try and make things better. He is not really great at it but he will try anyways. He is compassionate to his friends, an asshole to everyone else really. When stressed or thinking about things he has a slight tendency to talk to himself about what seem to be random things, but if asked about he normally can explain them in weird convoluted ways. He is slightly paranoid but has an ego the size of a war ship, and will follow that ego until somethings hits him hard enough to rethink his train of thought.
Biography: Hunter was born in a space station above Sol IV, this was not the intended plan. The intended plan was that his parents were trying to leave Sol IV and head to earth to meet a specific doctor. When that failed Hunter P. Mudak was born at a weight that could not be accurately recorded.
He grew up on Mars never leaving it until he joined up with the UNSC to attempt to see the galaxy. Despite growing up within an inner colony though his family was still considered lower class, and the cost of giving birth to a child in space does not help that. Especially when paying for a doctor on Earth was done ahead of time with a deposit. Realistically he thought the only way he could do anything whit life was to join up with the military.
In training Hunter preformed... average. He got the job done but he needed a lot of discipline along the way which created some setbacks. Despite those setbacks he has completed his basic training with minimal vehicle skills and is his fireteam's runner up marksmen. After training Private Mudak went on several deployments, most of them non combat or on reserve detail, but several non the less. He was in a couple short engagements with the Insurrectionists at points in his carrier but nothing too major.
-Operation tidal wave: This was Hunter's first combat mission. The idea behind it was to take out an Insurrectionist's outpost and collect data from the computers within the structures. The base was infiltrated successfully but at heavy losses, almost no real data was recovered and the UNSC forces present were forced to retreat. Soon after the base was abandoned. The overall mission was considered a bust. This was Hunter P. Mudak's only active combat mission.
Affiliations: -His mother and father back on Sol IV. -Fireteam Birdock.
Notable Traits: -Hunter is considered a decent shot overall -He tries to pull off a decent sense of humor, but tends to suck at it despite the few laughs that may come up. -Because of fear of being left behind he keeps a small crank radio on his belt at all times. It doesn't hold charge but when wound up he can listen into things.

Service-History: elimination mission; Objective, eliminate hostile resistance on Bening. Officer report: We were on route to the rendezvous point detailed in the briefing were a warthog and another squad would be waiting. We were attacked while traversing a canyon river bed. We were quickly taken out, snipers were situated on the canyon walls. My commander finally issued a retreat, but as soon as he finished, he was shot in the head. I escaped, but I was 2 clicks from the rendezvous, and the only clearly known entry was the canyon riverbed. I called for reinforcements while running from my rebel pursuers. I lasted an estimate of 15 hours waiting for reinforcements. I was then sent to hq.
espionage mission; Objective, Sabotage enemy artillary on the Estenmier Platau, Ustangav. Officer report: It was a simple mission, I was to watch from a cliff side and eliminate any resistance for my comrades, while they completed their assignments. It went smoothly, with me recieving 23 Confirmed kills of resistance rebels. Then as we made our way to extraction, we saw the smoke from the explosives planted on the artillery guns. The mission was successful, and I was accommodated by my commander, Regax Helem, who saw fit to do a little fireteam tradition while in the warthog that he did to all newly successful members of his team.
elimination mission; Objective, Eliminate enemy resistance commander wilson on Ustangav Officer report: The mission went well, but we did have some issues. Firstly, the guard patrol schedule we were given was incorrect, causing multiple close calls. I was again marksman, and I had to be more careful with my shots. The enemy had large spotlights pointed around my position, and I had to time my shots more perfectly, or I was going to be detected. My squad had many situations where I could not assist, except to give my view of things. After the target was terminated, alarms went off, and we had to get out quickly. There was one casualty, which was our new recruit, and he was gunned down.
infiltration mission; Objective, plant bomb in Enemy resistance camp on Reach Officer report: This mission I had my own fireteam to command. It went smoother than I expected. We Quickly planted the bomb and got out, without casualties or close calls. Again, marksman was my assignment, which overall went well, for I didn't have to shoot anyone to protect my team. I did receive multiple remarks towards my right to command in the beginning, but it was quickly dealt with after I steered them away from a stolen warthog with a missile pod on it.
Assualt mission; last known Objective, flush out enemy from hunkered area into heavy gun fire on Oman Officer report: [Officer M.I.A] Affiliations: Mother; Marian Jerico
Notable Traits: Based on other personnel descriptions, Addicted to tea and loves reptiles
Theme Song: None, officer states this when asked for one; "Why in the hell is that apart of the file?"
