Well, here's my nation sheet. I await approvalExodus Counter-Project: GENESIS
-AREA: Salvation-
“To Protect and Provide”
History:
When Legacy was first established, another splinter group formed in its wake. They were made up of people who had worked behind the shadows and assisted in building Legacy but were thrown away once their goals had been achieved. This splinter group was known as “Birthright”. This group was; however, able to siphon some resources off Legacy and founded the super-corporation “Progress United” which became massively successful and was able to purchase a large area of the Pacific Ocean including a group of small islands.
We are Birthright. We who had lost everything despite all we had given to make the project a success. We remain to reclaim that Birthright, our Inheritance. Well, at least, we did.
We were always aware of Project EXODUS. EXODUS was a plan we were supposed to ensure would never come to fruition. During those days before Legacy’s foundation, we were among those who ardently spoke against EXODUS. And that is what landed us here – defending what we thought was right, what we thought would be best for mankind.
When they announced it to the public, they were also waiting for us to come out of hiding. They knew we would speak out once more but we stood down. Cowardly, yes, but we determined it would be the best strategy in the end. Better us here in the present to protect the world from what already is than us destroyed in the past failing to prevent something that would be.
Progress United was nothing more than a façade. We were already preparing weapons to use against the unknown. During that half-century of preparation, we created a stronghold. We created Salvation.
Counter-Project GENESIS was our plan to preserve what we could of humanity. Phase 1 was Salvation. Phase 2 is… well, we’ll just see.
How’d we make it you ask? Salvation. What’s Salvation? Well, you’ll see.
General Information:
Survival Method:
Hiding out in the middle of the Pacific. We do have a stronghold prepared but we never expected how many, how strong or when the invasion was to take place. Our stronghold was built assuming the threat would come a long while AFTER Exodus opened, not exactly when it opened. We were also assuming our threat would probably be human, in the form of Legacy so our fort probably won’t hold out well against the Enemy.
Location:
We hold several islands in the Pacific along with an underwater base. A pretty big one too.
Technology:
About the same as everyone else… save for some prototype weapons (laser cannons, railguns, coil guns).
Forgot to add a mention i was talking to the new guy
Is interesting the word?
The United Kingdom of Britain, Ireland, and Canada“I have, myself, full confidence that if all do their duty, if nothing is neglected, and if the best arrangements are made, as they are being made, we shall prove ourselves once again able to defend our Island home, to ride out the storm of war, and to outlive the menace of tyranny, if necessary for years, if necessary alone. At any rate, that is what we are going to try to do. That is the resolve of His Majesty’s Government-every man of them. That is the will of Parliament and the nation. The British Empire and the Germanic Republic, linked together in their cause and in their need, will defend to the death their native soil, aiding each other like good comrades to the utmost of their strength. Even though large tracts of Europe and many old and famous States have fallen or may fall into the grip of the Communists and all the odious apparatus of Soviet rule, we shall not flag or fail. We shall go on to the end, we shall fight in France, we shall fight on the seas and oceans, we shall fight with growing confidence and growing strength in the air, we shall defend our Island, whatever the cost may be, we shall fight on the beaches, we shall fight on the landing grounds, we shall fight in the fields and in the streets, we shall fight in the hills; we shall never surrender, and even if, which I do not for a moment believe, this Island or a large part of it were subjugated and starving, then our Empire beyond the seas, armed and guarded by the British Fleet, would carry on the struggle, until, in God’s good time, the New World, with all its power and might, steps forth to the aid of the old.”- Winston Churchill in response to the first battles of World War 2, 1942
How we survived: Stubborn English fighting spirit, as well as tactical withdrawal into the backcountry. We will never surrender against the tide of darkness.
With the continued existence of the empire, the un-disastrous nature of WW2, and it’s powerful effect on the British military industrial complex, Britain had the funds to stay on the cutting edge of science. The New Royal Society Program was established in 1954 in response to Legacy’s space launch, reinvigorating the antiquated organization into Britain’s forefront science organization. The Royal Society has worked with Legacy to establish a Legacy Gate in a site near their compound in London. Also, the Royal Society cooperated with scientists in the Germanic Republic to create the Future Soldier project. A large batch Mk.3 prototypes are operated by Britain currently, which featured a prototype active optical camouflage, and thermal shielding, making the suit practically invisible to both the human eye and thermal vision. The A.O.C. on the Mk.3 had one flaw, the camouflage is slightly distorted, usually, it wouldn't matter at range, but up close it's a lot more noticeable. Like in Germany, soldiers equipped with these suits are prepared to deal with the Legacy gate in London.
This stealth technology, developed by the Royal Society itself, has also been utilized to create effective stealth suits for Britain’s special forces and spies. In recent years, these suits have earned British special forces and foreign operatives a new edge in their operations across the world against terrorists and third world dictatorships. Regardless of stealth suits, British spy organizations use other advanced tech and gadgets. The Royal Navy and Royal Air Force have also made significant advancements in technology in the past two decades.Population across the empire: 130.753 million
They’ve kept the world’s most advanced and powerful navy into the 21st century, as well as a highly competent airforce: the Royal Navy and the Royal Airforce. British Special Forces and the Royal Marines are also highly invested in. Soldiers and tanks are on par with the other super powers. The history of Britain is a history of expansion of English rule. From the incorporation of Wales in 1535, to the union with Scotland in 1603, to the union with Ireland in 1803, and Britain’s expansion across the world. Thirteen of Britain’s American colonies broke away in a war for independence, prompting Britain to run it’s colonies with more equality to the homeland in hopes they wouldn’t attempt to break away. This culminated with an 1867 Act of Union being agreed upon with Canada, officially merging Canada into the United Kingdom. The United Kingdom also expanded into Africa, India, Australia, and New Zealand in the mid 1800s, but more resources were dedicated to the most “British” colonies. While Irish nationalism was still a threat to British rule there throughout the 1800s and early 1900s, Ireland was ruled much more justly in the wake of the American Revolution. This resulted in the failure of the Irish Independence referendum in 1922.
World War 1 devastated a generation of Britain’s finest, but opened the way for liberal reforms that had been in progress for decades. However, the monarch retained some of his power as the executive of the government. The next years were filled with widespread hardship from war debts, labor strikes, and the Great Depression. But the looming conflict with the Soviet Union oddly provided some solace. Arm sales to their old German rival brought ailing English industry back to life, and increased substantially when England joined the war effort themselves in 1943. Besides the European front, the English also clashed with the Soviets in Afghanistan. The renewed British nationalism anchored in colonies and collapsed rebellious socialist forces. They later reluctantly surrendered to the Soviet nuclear ultimatum, while working with the United Germanic Republic to develop another nuclear arsenal. Their own space project was met with some success, but was outdone by Legacy. With the war over abruptly, the UK had to face facts. Even though the shortness of the war had meant little ruin for the empire, their colonies were expensive, and they couldn’t hope to rule over so much of the world forever. But perhaps they could retain the loyalties of those they considered their countrymen. India and Africa were gradually set free, with wrongs redressed and new responsible governments set up in hopes of securing Britain’s legacy. Australia and New Zealand had different prospects. Due to Britain’s efforts to secure their countrymen’s allegiances abroad, most in those countries considered themselves “Australian British” or “New Zealander British”. They remained in the British fold, with semi autonomous governments and strong ties to the Isles.
They joined UN when it formed in 1950, and enjoyed several decades of general prosperity while opposing the Soviets whenever possible. They participated in UN and NATO operations with their German allies, and sent some support to their Vietnamese and Korean operations from Australia and New Zealand. While met with failure on that front, they were later able claim victories in Suez, Afghanistan, and the Falklands. They successfully invaded the canal with France and thwarted Egypt’s attempt to nationalize it. In Afghanistan, advanced British special forces aided rebels in defeating the Soviet invasion. In the Falklands, the British succeeded in defeating the invasion forces and counter attacked, installing a British friendly democracy over the old Junta. In the post Cold War era, they attempted to provide aid to Eastern Europe, but they had gone their own way it seemed.
Now in 2017, the British Empire has retained its sway across two hemispheres through the UN and its colonies. It now seems the power of the British will be ultimately secured with the Legacy gate project tying the world together. His Royal Highness King George VII and Prime Minister Oliver Chambers have sponsored the project and convinced Parliament to dedicate resources towards it.Name: King George VII

We've mostly been able to avoid being screwed up the behind since we're pretty isolated, the nearest big city being Honolulu. Nonetheless, in keeping with the fairness of the game, I'd given myself one disadvantage: I lack manpower. I expect more men coming in from Progress United and Birthright's installations from around the world, the first batch coming from San Francisco and the rest of North America by vaccuum tube.
