Still on phone and can't write app. There may be some hope #soon though.

Random fun fact: the leader of my imperial Russia will be Nicolas II's grandson, who never existed obviously cause of the damn commies.

EDIT: Also, Feo and I have been working some stuff out in a PM and came to the agreement that the Baltic states were more or less partitioned. Imperial Russia will own a slice of the Baltic and is no longer just St. Pete and some outlying territories.

@Vilageidiotx@Dinh AaronMk:

Okay, I didn't claim North Borneo at game start because I thought the British Player would have it. And, well, having North Borneo is sorta important to some storylines I plan (namely an Ahmadiyya homeland in the less-settled parts of North Borneo). So, can it be retconned that I have it?

And if not, would it count as map-painting if I take it, then settle Ahmadis in-game?

Probably gonna go with "died young". The life-expectancy for people with his condition was 11 years back then, and by the time he was killed IRL he was 13 so...

I figured that since the likelihood of him surviving is low, I need to come up with a way for a different male heir to have outlived him. Maybe Nicolas has another son, and that son is the czar that is killed.

Alrighty, took a crack at it. Hope managing to fandango a portion of Mozambique is more acceptable than a Nordic Union!

Or he lives and you have a sort of Baldwin IV style sickly monarch.

Woo, some more Africa!

Now, you and I will need to do some working together right off the bat because the posts I am sitting on right now involve Rhodesia. Luckily for us I was also assuming white rule, so it shouldn't be a big deal. If you want to do that I can send you what I have right now and we can work through it.

If he lived he'd be the tsar that gets dunked on by the Finns, since his dad was already 50 by 1918. So he'd be dead anyway, probably. Either way, we end up with Nick II's grandson as the current monarch.

I do plan on making things kinda murky with rumors that the whole family was killed, in case anyone wants to play as a different set of monarchists who challenge the legitimacy of the current tsar. The idea being that the current tsar was injured during the attack and assumed dead for a while, so some people think he's just a fake put in power by imperial generals.

I do take issue with how you've more or less written the history of Russia instead of just your region. Since I'm playing a direct continuation of imperial Russia, I do feel like I have more or less reserved the right to determine the fate of the royal family and the details pertaining to Russia in the years leading to the fall of the Czar.

That's not to say I wouldn't allow a counter-monarchy, but I don't like how much liberty you took writing about the royal family, among other things, since I consider that to have been reserved by me.

Made a map to represent where the borders should be sitting in Africa. This is pretty rough, since I haven't bothered with divying places that would probably end up divided (looking at you, French Sahara). This is mostly useful because people often look for colonial borders and accidentally grab post-Versailles borders that wouldn't exist in PoW.

I wasn't aware that you had claimed the Russian royal family. I would love to work something out so we can both be happy. I did try to limit the history to my own region but I did wright a few events that I thought were likely to happen. Like Russia selling weapons and refugees from ottomans which which did happen. If you have anything you really don't like message me and also include things that will effect both of us.

@Pepperm1nts@InkwellWe should probably make a pm for everyone in Russia to work out the history, as I have claimed Kazakhstan which was part of Russia until 1952 but history is different

I was going to suggest that, looks like Hugs took the initiative and did that already.

If he hasn't I suppose you should invite Shyri/Feo too since he's Germany and the Germans had had honest relations with Russia, as well as there being German populations scattered throughout Russia since the time of Catherine the Great.

But Germany being dabbled in everything isn't unusual, before Germany turned towards Russia in the late 19th century it was oriented towards the UK; every ruling family in Britain in fact since the Reformation has been German to the point of not speaking speaking English.
