Zander's surprise was quiet evident, when Melina told him about her knowing about Hogsmeade. Nodding with a soft smile on her face. "Well, when I found out that I was coming here, for the exchange program. I grew more curious about Hogwarts. I mean...I've heard a few tales, here and there about here, growing up. But naturally, I wanted to find out more." Seeing this was going to be her home, for her last school years. Melina wanted to be more prepared. Not wanting to stand out like a sore thumb, if she didn't know anything. "But yes, I know about Hogsmeade. It's always been more of the popular things mentioned, when people talk about Hogwarts." At least, in her home country it seemed quiet popular. She wasn't sure if it was like here. Maybe Witches and Wizards here didn't talk about it as much; as it didn't seem that big of a thing to them, like it did to foreigners such as herself.
Of all the places she was excited to explore, Hogsmeade was one of them. Followed by the Hogwarts Library and grounds; given that she was a massive book worm and had a love for nature. The grounds around the schools, that she seen so far were beautiful.
Taking in the sight in front of her, as they arrived at the Greenhouse. It definitely seemed more bright, and organised than what she was used to. Herbology, had never been her strongest subject. Not that it was her fault. Her normal Herbology teacher, was a grump and not very welcoming. Already noticing the differences; especially with how Professor Sprout had greeted her. Hopefully, the lessons would be more engaging, than back home.
"Good Morning, Professor Sprout." Melina greeted politely. Seeing Zander's look, she nodded over at him. Letting him know she was fine on her own for now. "Oh yes, people have been very welcoming so far." So far, so good. Melina felt welcome here. And already feeling, like this exchange program would be good for her. The Professor's question catching her by surprise. Melina's relationship with Herbology had always been complex, to say the least. "Umm, honestly; whilst I always found it interesting....professors back at home, in my school haven't made the subject very engaging. So I always struggled with it a bit." Melina said honestly.
