I just thought of an interesting reason for Saeril to be training Kili and Yavanna!
What if she was only trying to train them, in preparation for when her alter-ego "Maleficent" arises? For the final battle?
I intend for Saeril to continue doing this 'til it happens.

You know what I just realized. Remember when Legolas told Yavanna to keep a weathered eye on the horizon? The scene that they were currently looking at, towards the sea, relates to what he meant. It's a sign of where they might run into each other! That's just amazing! :)
