FantasySpookyFiasco
Small group • Dice • Short Roleplay
Premise

It's that spooOOooky time of year and that means a Fiasco one shot! It'll be a short roleplay that lasts two Acts with five players. This'll be a low-medium casual level.

Fiasco is a simple system that uses dice to set up the game. We roll a bunch of dice at the beginning and then take turns to pick which dice we want to use. Using these dice, we pick certain elements to establish our character and the setting. During the game, we create scenes to try and write a good story.

I'm happy to teach people the system, but for starters this wiki page explains it far better then I ever could. Here's what it looks like to play.

Guidelines

+ All RPers are expected to roll with the punches and throw themselves into it. This includes not getting your panties in a twist if someone uses a dice you were hoping to get.

+ This is a horror roleplay so here's a quick warning on potential gore, violence, swearing, lude jokes, ect.

+ By joining this RP you need to accept your character will not always get out of every situation unscathed. In fact, half of all scenes are going to end badly - so chances are, something is just not going to work out. By the climax of the roleplay everything shall explode into anarchy. Fiasco isn't about running off into the sunset after happily ever after, it's about having a blast writing a dramatic story with a bunch of cool peeps.

+ This is a low-medium casual roleplay. Posts are expected minimum once every five days. I'm hoping this'll be a faster moving roleplay as it is quite short in nature anyway :D
Playsets

Candy Apples and Razorblades - set during halloween, a sleepy town holds some dark secrets like a haunted house, evil carnival, vampires, witches, cannibals... the usual stuff.

As a Reminder everyone is required to have share relationship and one need, object or location with each adjacent player. We'll go through it a step at a time to make it easier :D See this nifty diagram below:

Here are the Categories and possibilities you can roll. Initially we'll go through and pick a vague selection (e.g. using a 1 for family or a 5 for romantic)

Um, there's no diagram in your first post. And it's been a while since I last played. We choose a die to get a category, right? How are we going to manage turns in this game?

I'm just setting the image of the diagram up now :D

Turns we'll go in order once we agree upon placement. Don't worry, it'll all come together in a moment (for us to blow it all up again by Act 2 xD)

@Jove@Pirouette@ScreenAcne@Cao the Exiled

Right so! Here's a (terrible) diagram to show how it'll work currently.

Please let me know if people would like to change their position on the map. This is literally just an initial placement thing for convenience.

So long story short, everyone will share a relationship and either an object, location or need with the people either side of them. Every turn, a person will decide on a relationship/need/location/object to share with one person on either side of them.

To start with, this will just be choosing a section (e.g. Family, School, The Past, Romance, Crime or Community for relationships) and then defining that section (e.g. Lab Partners, Unpopular Clubmates, Sports teammates, Tutor and Slacker, Bully and Victim, Odd Teacher and Student)

I'll be going by category for ease, but at any point you can decide to do something from a different category instead (so we'll start things off with Relationships, but if you'd rather get a need or location going, go for it!).

Does anyone want to switch places on the diagram before we start?

shit. I get it, sister. We throw one die, that picks a section. Then we throw another die. That determines the thing in the section.

Then we motherfucking, share one to the diagram player. Sort of like, motherfucking, RNG shopping in an isle grocery stall.

Is there a numerical shaker system inbuilt in RPGuild?@Mae

She already rolled all the dice for us. Now we just take turns choosing them. Speaking of which, what's the turn order?

@ScreenAcne@Jove I rolled the dice because I thought it'd be easier, but if you guys are super excited for it I would LOVE it if we all rolled dice individually and added it to the pool.

Shall we do that instead?

Also I was going to start or I was wondering if you'd like first pick @Jove since it would give players who haven't seen/played Fiasco before a chance to see how it works a little.

@Cao the ExiledSo you could pick a relationship category with me ( Family, School, Romance, The Past, Crime, Community) or you can pick a relationship detail with @Pirouette (Lab partners, In an unpopular club together, Teammates on a sports team, Tutor and slacker, Bully and victim, Odd teacher and student). Or you can pick a Need, Location, Object for either of us.
