✧Admin - DAY 2, Genesis City, 10AM✧

Day 2 of Talrae. The first day was nightmarish enough for some, unbelievable for others. But none can deny at this point that this really may be the new reality. No matter, you are one of the smarter ones who picked things up a little quicker than others. You decided to do 2 critically important tasks since the fateful announcement yesterday; get an early start on improving your status and find some allies. It was a busy day but a successful one. You all managed to figure out a rough idea of how the game works and gained a level in the process. And you all found each other.

Market -> Outskirts
@Zelosse

Fortuna slowly wandered the Market streets, looking at the bits and bobs the merchant sold. Players and NPCs alike being ripped off by merchants that claim that such trinkets brought good luck. Such things a certain gambler didn't believe in. There was no real luck in a game like this. RNG was only pseudo-random after all. As random as a loaded die at times. 'Plink', went the small nickle coin as she flipped it. Tails. 'What a good sign.', she thought sarcastically.

After awhile of meandering, she came across a merchant.. Or rather a fellow gambler who was making bets with passersby. "C'mon, 5 nickles says you can't guess whether it's heads or tails!" He laughed as he put a nickle on his thumbnail. What was interesting to Fortuna, was that the Gambling NPC was always winning. She smirked as she stood the side, watching the NPC make off with many a nickle. Soon, she stepped up to the plate. The man gave her a toothy grin, "Well, girly? Let's see your luck eh?"
She smirked back at him, "I'm sure lady luck is smiling on me." She responded nonchalantly. The man laughed in response, showing her a nickle coin that had a notable chip in it, "Let's make it more interesting then! I'll flip it and you'll have to guess which hand I catch it in and what side's facing up! I'll double the prize, 10 nickles, deary."

Fortuna merely nodded, her smirk unfaltering. The man flipped the coin; swiping both hands at it, catching it mid-air before presenting two clenched fists before her. "Well?"

The Rogue stepped forward, tapping one hand with her finger then tapping the other, as if trying to make her decision. She stepped back and shook her head slowly. "Well. First of all, there's no coin in either of your hands." The man chuckled and nodded his head as he reached into his pocket.. Where the nickle should've been.
"And I believe it was heads." Fortuna chuckled as she opened her hand, showing the chipped nickle.. Heads up. The NPC frowned as he gave the girl her 10 nickles.

"Better luck next time, hun."

Fortuna stood at the outskirts of the town, watching the other players go in and out, hunting the monsters the spawned further off. She had sent Bullhorn a message earlier inviting him for some hunting or perhaps a dungeon run, although she'll probably need to find more people to do the latter.

She looked back on her time in Talrae. Even though she hadn't even been in this world for more than a couple of days, she already felt at home. Forced to escape from her previous life in the real world? Didn't seem all that bad. There wasn't anyone back at her real home that she missed anyway. Maybe her dog, Yuki.

Market - Outskirt

Remaining Renn: 6

Looking at his pocket, Paralyzed let out a sigh. It had been too long for him since his last time doing such things. After buying most of what he needs, it seems he is having a disease that called “cancer pocket." If this was in real life, Paralyze think while walking down the vendors street, reconsidering what he should buy with his last 8 renn. He would ask his butler to buy what he damn want. Suddenly, a flower catch Paralyze’s eyes as he walks down the vendors' shops. The flower as a whole is about 2-3 cm long and its body is like glass, granting him to see through it and saw his hand on the other side of the flower. The smell from the flower was soft and delicate, not too overwhelming. The top of the flower is something similar to white orchids with some scarlet dot on it. Paralyze’s attention remains on the flower that he is holding in his hand as the thing seems to be so delicate a small breeze may bend it. And a woman voice broke out in his mind, scattering his mind that is tasting the beauty of this unknown flower. Lifting up his mind, Paralyze saw a woman in her mid thirty looking at him, smiling when he is holding it. The women say to him an eerie sweeten voice, trying to urge him to buy it.
“It is the last patch that I have.” Sighing, the woman put her hand in the pocket, pretending she is very displeased by the fact before continue. “I could sell you for 2 Renn instead of 3."

Paralyzed look at the flower in his hand. He knew he should not waste his money on it, yet the beauty of the thing captivates his eyes. Searching his pocket, Paralyzed handed the woman 2 Renn, making his remaining money to be 6 Renn. The woman is now very happy, with no sign of her discomfort that appeared previous on her face. It seems that her happiness even cause her to declare a mission to him as a holographic board appear before Paralyze’s eyes, stating: "
Flower Gathering: Visit Flower Gardens (Location D) and bring 50 Flowers to Herbalist Needlan (Location B of Genesis City).”
The thing reminds Paralyze of the mission he just received a few hours ago by Peter the Blacksmith, saying he must gather 20 woods and 5 pork back to the Blacksmith. Paralyze has a rough draft of how these missions are going to be complete. Paralyze smiles before pressing the “Accept” button, well this is a relatively easy mission he thinks. Holding the small delicate flower in his hand, Paralyzed continues to walk down these roads. Maybe I need to form a team with others to hunt, Paralyze continue to think while walking in this simulated world that he will have to call home for at least a next few years.

Sam, travelling to the outskirts of Genesis City

--------------------------------------------------------------

Having woken up bright and early the very next day, after Malgoth shook the playerbase of Talrae to the core, the spry young Tinker Sam appeared unfazed. With a bounce to her step and a jaunty demeanour, she took her time strolling the streets of Genesis City. Breathing in the crisp morning air that felt all too real to be fake, stopping to smell the roses at market stalls, but more importantly chatting up the fellow players she stumbled across. With a smile and wave Sam hailed them down, each with the same offer: to party up and venture out! Each time, though, they all declined. Her spirit wounded, but not yet defeated, Sam thought up of a solution. Scrounging up a discarded wooden board and a forgotten bit of charcoal, the Tinker scribbled the letters "L F G" in large lettering, and the subtitle: "Looking For Group" beneath. Holding the sign to her chest, Sam continued her walk, opting now to just direct the attention of any passersby towards her sign with a smile. Now the other players weren't even speaking up to turn her down. Reaching one of the city's two entrances, Sam breathed a sigh of disappointment.

She was kind of hoping anyone would have joined her before reaching her destination.

The Tinker wasn't done just yet, however, as this presented a new opportunity. Lingering around the entrance, Sam kept her sign in hand, attracting the attention of arrivals and departures. But during a quiet minute of no activity, the bright-eyed Tinker noticed she wasn't the only loiterer.

"Hail!" Sam shouted across the way, raising her sign to the light, and raising a hand to wave, all to attract Fortuna's attention.

As she waited for Bullhorn, another player shouted across the way in her direction. Her gaze fell upon a sign that said "L F G". Fortuna couldn't help but chuckle at the gesture. The sign thing was kind of cute. The rogue approached the other girl, giving her a playful smile, "I'm surprised nobody's invited you yet. That sign is pretty clear, in my opinion." She mused as she flicked at her menu, sending an invite to the Tinker. "The name's Fortuna, nice to meet you~" She said casually, giving the other girl a wink.

She wondered where Bullhorn went. He's probably gotten drunk somewhere, assuming the system did such a thing. Maybe he was dead. Who knows. He weirdly disappeared after losing at a game of strip poker against the Rogue. She laughed inwardly as she imagined him running around without pants on.. If he forgot that it was all still in his inventory. Maybe he'll learn not to gamble against a cheater next time.

Outskirt

Walking down the path of the market, Paralyze continue to feel the atmosphere of the place while exploring things in this game. Certainly, with only 6 Renn in his pocket, Paralyze couldn't buy a cookie. So, Paralyze is just simply wandering around the market and seeing stuffs. The sound of people chattering, yelling, and laughing echoing the streets. The smell of herbs from the nearby shops and medicines stores mixed with the smell of fish and meat from the nearby inn fill Paralyze's nostrils. Breathing in before releasing a long sigh, Paralyze look at the view and began to reflect on his time spending in that room. It was lonely, grim, and full of hatred. The sound of something shattered echoing in his mind, forcing him to return to the New World. Paralyze could feel the heavy leather that is protecting his front and back; the mace that is hanging on one side of his pants; and the beautiful that he just bought a few hours ago. This world Paralyze think while continue to walk forward is so real.

Suddenly, Paralyze saw a girl with a board writing “L F G" and a description below it. And it strike Paralyze with the thought that he is also in search for a teammate. Slowly approaching the “LFG" girl and another girl, Paralyze searches for what he is going to say. In Paralyze mind, he is cursing himself for not preparing for these situations. And the reasons for not doing so come easily to his mind, as Paralyzed had said, “who would I woe when all around me are males?”

Standing besides Fortuna, Paralyze take a deep breath before starting his speech. It seems that for whatever the reason, Paralyze had not heard Fortuna's sending request to form a group to Sam.

“Hello there, can I join your group?” Paralyze said with his booming voice as he looks at Sam. He offered her a handshake and grinned to show his good will. “My name is Paralyze. And it is my honor to meet you, Miss....”

Paralyze halted, waiting for Sam to say her name. And in his mind, Paralyze is bitting his nail and waiting to see the result.

Bank > Market(Blacksmith) > Outskirts

Polak stood in front of the bank clerk, waiting for the clerk to give him his loan. "Here is your one silver. Don't forget the interest is one copper per day." Polak bowed his head in appreciation and exited the bank with one more silver piece in hand. He had decided earlier that he wanted to start grinding his crafting skills and thought of buying a foraging tool. Although he could have bought either a pickaxe or hatchet with what he had left from character creation, he thought it was more efficient to buy both and gather iron and wood rather.

After swift navigation, Polak found his way through the streets and entered a blacksmith's shop. A bell rang as he entered the shop and is immediately greeted by a rhythmic clanging from a door behind the counter. After a moment of further hammering, he heard a sizzle and then heavy footsteps. A tall and imposing blacksmith came out of the door and settled his hands on the counter, "what can I get ye?" Polak replied, "a hatchet and pickaxe, please." The blacksmith nodded and brought out a hatchet and pickaxe, "that'll be eighty renn." Polak brought out coins amounting to 80 renn and handed them to the blacksmith. "'Fore ye go, seein' ye got a hatchet, ye mind gettin' some wood fer me? And some meat too." A dialogue box popped up in front of Polak, 'Bring Petar The Blacksmith Items: Bring Petar the Blacksmith (Location B of Genesis City) 20 Wood and 5 Pork.' Polak immediately accepted quest, "that would be no problem at all." The blacksmith smiled, "thank ye," and went back to his forge.

Exiting the shop, Polak stretched his arms and carried on to the gates. He felt nervous about what's to come; he didn't play MMO's often, and when he did, he only played with friends or played solo. The prospect of having to talk to strangers did spook him a bit. Of course, if he wanted to increase chances of survival, he needed allies. He swallowed his fear and looked around the outskirts of the town, finding a small group of three already forming. Polak approached them and spoke, "do you mind if I join? The name's Polak."
