[The Harbinger of Ferocity]

Even in the world dreaming, I find that I am the same throughout. My bearing, my character, my demeanor, or my personification neither flags nor changes. Here I am in all of these strange places, reinterpretations of events or elaborations thereafter, and in all of them at first nothing is different to the observers. Yet, in short order, they begin to realize that not all things are as they appear and that I, the outlier, am to blame. They see through the illusion the dream sets up and quickly come to know that what they are dealing with is not what they thought it to be.

Were one to say, view it from their perspective, this would be fuel for a nightmare. But the nightmarish elements do not so much as strike me any longer and deflect harmlessly from the bulwark of mind. Even terrible things relived or fathomed in some new, twisted way, none of them affect me, but they affect these constructs, these entities of the dream. What a strange place to be grounded, somehow, among it all and not flinch. The tastes, the smells, the sights, the sounds, the touch.

Will it taste good? Do they use spices? The moments of what the hell did they put in this.

I received some cookies yesterday and this bitch put pecans in the freaking no bake oatmeal cookies. Why would you ruin a perfectly good cookie?!

I've been married for 15+ years and with my wife for 17+ years. Several years ago, I confided a little secret with my sisters; simply because they knew what I was talking about. My mother made meals in order for my sisters and I to have a home cooked meal. There was nothing special about them. I grew up thinking my mother's cooking was delicious. Then I got married and that table was tipped upside down. During a Thanksgiving meal, my wife and I hosted, my sisters were able to sample her cooking. She is half Italian and her mother is 100% Italian. Her mother taught her everything she knows and the wife is completely awesome!!! I told my sisters, "I had no idea what home cooked meals tasted like until I got married." Her cookies are the best. We have chocolate chip, chocolate crinkles and Italian biscotti cookies on hand right now.

I think one of the most adrenaline inducing situations I've ever been in was the time we had to roll start my dads old Chevy truck.

My parents house sets on top of a hill, located right off of a main two lane highway. At the bottom of the driveway, across the road is a guardrail to keep you from going in a huge ditch. Well, dad had parked the truck on the up most side of the driveway that night, because it was calling for snow. I don't remember why we left the next day, but we did. Dad shifted the truck into neutral, and began to turn it over. Needless to say, the snow was hella mushy and we slid down the hill more than we rolled. We nearly hit the guard rail, but the truck turned on at just the last minute.
