Hi guys! New to rp here so correct me if I'm wrong with anything. :3

Anyway anyone interested in a dark, modern, bloody themed rp? The story will be about a veeery mysterious mission board located in a random dark alleyway in the City of No Names. In this city, crime is breakfast, lunch, dinner, and supper; and here nobody cares about who you are or what you do... and when they care, they want you dead.

About the Mission Board
It is RUMORED that there is a mission board somewhere in the alleyway filled with random posts of assassination contracts. Day after day, anonymous killers will come and pick up one of the contracts to fulfill them. It is said that when you have finished a contract of your picking, a mysterious pouch of money will appear in front of your doorsteps in the following day; no matter where you live or who you are.

You can also post contracts on the board. They say that you don't even have to pay for it; as whoever is in charge will make you pay somehow... I wonder if it is a money payment, or something else...

The Bigger Lore: Urban Creatures
So I'm planning on a series of role-plays about creatures lurking around in urban areas. They are monsters that are highly specialized in stealth and OBVIOUSLY they hunt humans down for meals. So, most of the people in this universe have no knowledge or even awareness about their existences.

"Contracts" will be the first part of the series, and we will first focus on the human inhabitants of No Name City. you can role-play as a killer, a contract-poster, just a local, or even a curious detective *wink wink* ;). "Contracts" will review more about the nature of this universe overtime (and you can help me build it! :D) and I'm really looking forward to seeing how the game goes.

I'm thinking of playing a killer who lives in an inn that is actually a killers den. How does that sound? Also, tech level please!

Sounds like a dangerous place :3

As for tech level, it will be the same as IRL tech level. However, because of the poverty and crime rate of the city, local technology seems 20 years behind; so laptops, smart phones are not a common knowledge to the local inhabitants. You may have brought in modern items (electronic devices) on your own if you were from the other cities, or if you are rich and have connections. Law enforcement is not possible too; so people take ownership of abandoned houses (or suspicious dens ;3) on their own account.

Side-note: looking for around 5-10 people taking interest and I can put in more details. xD

Ignorance, luck... maybe dying a lot of times over and over by all sorts of others. But you know, kids these days are tough. xD

Also, are the killers in a competition to kill as many persons as possible? O.o (I don't know why i asked, just thought there's going to be a lot of mysterysolving going on too...)

hum... the killers can hold competitions among themselves; but thing is they never knew the origin of the mission board, so there was never a formal bond to start with. xD The killers only gathered mysteriously, possibly learning about the mission board by word of mouth.

And yeah it will be a mix of mystery/horror, so I'm leaving some details to the later stage in the role-play. xD

Interested will sub. Is this modern races and whatnot as well or a repository for the strange/occasional mutant human? Nothing excessive in mind but maybe improved hearing or sight for instance.

I am actually thinking of a much more ordinary human race; imagine a world just like ours. The City of No Names is an uncharted place in our very real world and it is owned by no countries for some reason.

The real humans there have absolutely no special powers so far (and hence making them very vulnerable to urban creatures). The only thing that is different in this universe is the existence of human-hunting creatures that are entirely different and unaware by the human race. They are not a race, just like how we will never clasify zombies as a race. So in effect, there is only one known race in this universe to date.

(Of course you can still have human characters with slightly better hearing or sight as a skill; since it still make sense in a real world setting)

@Traps definitely into this vibe so far. Look forward to this getting started. I am thinking of playing a philosophical killer who is bound by his own superstition. The stages of the moon, not a good night for death. The 15th of the month? A stabbing naturally. Etc... What do you think?

Bound by his own superstition huh ;3 sounds cool @Tenslashsix. He might face some big dilemma when he has to choose between beliefs and survival tho (it is a dangerous career in a dangerous world after all). I'm pretty much looking forward to see how it goes.

People live and die by their idiosyncratic ways I think if I can't verbally jujitsu my characters through a situation then fate dictates they die. I'll start writing a loose backstory.
