[OOC] Relatively Generic Medieval Fantasy

This is my first true RP post, so please bear with me.

This is OOC, but also not OOC. This is where we discuss our characters and/or roleplay obviously, but also please post your characters here. A couple simple rules though.

1. The actual RP will be considered open(anyone can jump in), but I urge that you PM me first. Just so I know.

2. The actual post style will be casual, but please no one liners! (one liners are okay in a conversation I guess, but i still strongly advise against it. ((instead of just saying the quote from the character, maybe discuss their thoughts?)) )

3. Any race is okay, but don't be ridiculous. "Evil demon from hell who can destroy the entire world with the flick of his wrist" is not a valid race.

4. No smut. EVER. Take that nonsense to pms.

The setting is rather straight forward. It is purposely vague, so it can let people be a little more creative and flow with their own ideas. The land is in a perpetual state of winter, and there is a rebellion currently going on. A group of rebels are currently working to overthrow the monarchy. Keep in mind, this does not have to be integral to your particular character.

I'm not sure what else to add, but I'm open to feedback!

Yes.

It is everything and anything you want it to be. I left it vague on purpose, because I don't want to feel like the sole setting builder. It makes me feel better when everyone can get a say.

Question: How generic is generic? Are we allowed to play around with, say, steampunk or wuxia tropes?

Sure! The kingdom itself isn't a steampunk type, but if your character has those elements it is fine. say if your character is from a wuxia type land, its fine.

Just about everything is okay! Wuxia, i believe, is an asian type land.

steampunk is steampunk i guess.
