[OOC] Undead Summer

[Drakeonis]

Its finally summer break, and while everyone else is out spend there's partying and having fun, you spend it working at working your summer job at the Red Ridge Mall. You go into work one day and go about your regular old routine. Things go to hell quickly as soon as one sickly persona enters the building and the entire mall is filled with zombies within the hour. Now your trapped in an extremely large building practically crowded with the walking dead, and you have two choices: fight or die.

-No Power gaming, god modding etc.
-Romance is allowed and to be kept PG13 anything else goes to PM's
-Language is allowed. I don't know who wouldn't be swearing during a zombie apocalypse.

Bio: Abel's parents bailed on him and his older sister when he was 7. She became his legal guardian when she came of age, and ever since then she been trying to take care of them, Against her wishes he decided to start working to help out. Unfortunately for him the only place hiring was the sporting goods place at the mall, the one place where'd have to deal with the kind of people he avoided. Everybody has to make sacrifices for family right?

Other: A nerd at heart and he ain't afraid to show it. He always wears his Garrison corps necklace for his love of Attack on Titan. He has a very keen distrust of authority figures because of what happened with his parents. He uses his sarcasm as a coping mechanism.

I love the idea, and am thinking of a character right now, but I just want to go over something before I do. What stores are in this mall? Because weapon-wise, there could be a sword & knife store in the mall, since ours has one, and they sell bows and crossbows too, but no guns but I leave that decision up to you if such a store should be included.

Regular wise it has all you're usual stores, like fast food places, clothing stores,novelty places, music places, etc. I'd allow a blade place because many malls I've been to sell various kinds them in a variety of different stores, so having one wouldn't be too odd. I'd have to say no on a gun place though just because I know many malls don't have them, and I've never seen one that does.

Name: Isabella "Izzy" Madrazo

Age: 17

Weapon: A sword she stole from the sword shop

Bio: Izzy's mother and father are both hard working immigrants from Mexico, having moved to the United States LEGALLY of course for better work and a better life away from their original home in Juarez, where drugs and gang violence was becoming more and more of a threat to their lives by the year. Izzy's dad, Hector, worked for a big construction firm in the city, while her mother, Sandria, waits tables at a small diner on Fifth Street, and Izzy...well she was lazy, mostly spending her days locked in her room listening to heavy metal and drawing manga or Lovecraft inspired monstrosities. Her passion was to become an artist, but she lacked the drive to go to school or anything, but then again there would be no way for her to afford school with her folks falling on hard times after her dad got laid off and she had to pick up the slack. In fact, both her parents gave Izzy an ultimatum, either get a job or get the hell out of their house. Now, she works full time at Hot Topic, and really...she likes it, alot better than serving slurpees and fries at the food court, that's for sure.

Other: Though she hasn't officially come out to it about her parents or to anyone else, Izzy's a lesbian. She'll act nervous around any attractive girls and may possibly have nosebleeds. Also, she's a huge fan of heavy metal music and hates all other music with a vengeance. She's also a big otaku, having watched anime since she was ten years old and has a surprisingly huge collection of manga in her bedroom at home. Izzy can also speak Japanese, but she's a little rusty, and naturally she can speak Spanish fluently.

Name: Michael Keyes

Age: 17

Appearance: Michael is a bit tall with an athletic build, but only a moderate one considering his usual habits of sitting around playing games, TV watching, and reading are what he indulges a bit more than visiting the gym. He has a medium brown skin tone and brown eyes, which along with his snakey hair say he is of a latin family.

Workplace: Mall Pharmacy. He isn't some expert doctor or pharmacologist obviously, but he's studied enough to know the effects of certain drugs and the best way to take them, and obviously enough to be trusted in handing them out to respective recipients.

Weapon:

A neat blade taken from the knife shop, it was one of the smaller weapons left lying around after most of the store's larger weapons had been taken. If you're going to go fight some undead suckers, why not do it with some style?

Other: He also took the liberty of taking a gas mask from the weapons shop. It's undoubtedly just an accessory, but it is a good way to keep zombie blood out of the mouth, ears, nose, and eyes. Michael is obviously a bit of a video game guy, and he uses this and a "born for this" mindset to try offset the horror that his family may be dead, that one wrong move can be the end of him, and the world will soon fall.


Other cont'd: Michael wears blue jeans, a pair of gray and yellow tennis shoes, a black shirt, and a black coat. It's odd that he'd carry around a coat, especially during the summer, but it does get rather chilly in the mall. Now he wears it for some minor protection against zombie scratches and bites.

I've been watching waaay too much Walking Dead lately, so I've been in a mood for a good ol' zombie RP for quite a while now xD.

I recommend the show if you haven't watched it. It has a mix of drama and stuff in it, but then again, things are bound to get dramatic whenever you have families facing ravenous monsters together!
