Where evil lurks, the Rangers are there to stop it.
Being a youthful kid, it was with pride that you were accepted into the Ranger School--a school that had forged many excellent Pokémon Rangers. Perhaps you have an interest in playing the chivalrous hero, the defender of nature, or simply have an interest in Pokémon. Whatever the case is, your adventure in becoming a Ranger starts now.
Will you blaze a path to glory, or will you become another background character in a story? Will you falter against evil, or will you uphold the code of a Pokémon Ranger and defeat it?
The choice is yours. Just remember: where evil lurks, the Rangers are there to stop it.

Pokémon Rangers exist as a blend between a police officer and park ranger. Different from a trainer, people who desire to become rangers form temporary bonds with Pokémon (outside of their partner) through the use of an object known as a Capture Styler to protect nature and defeat criminals that are up to no good.
By using a Capture Styler, a Ranger launches a top-like disc towards the target. Provided the Ranger's Capture Disc can avoid a Pokémon's attacks, the disc will begin to circle the Pokémon, calming and coaxing the creature into helping the Ranger in their time of need. Once captured, a Ranger can ask the Pokémon for assistance, whether it means putting out a fire or simply recharging their styler.
To become a Ranger, one must first attend the Ranger School. The Ranger School teaches Student Rangers, who have the option to become either an official Ranger, or one of those who aid on-duty Rangers, such as an Operator or a Mechanic. Those who intend to become Rangers are given a School Styler, which has limited capabilities when compared to an actual Capture Styler.
Rangers who graduate are known as Area Rangers, and are assigned to a Ranger Base. With the help of Pokémon, these Rangers work to protect the peace. Should a Ranger preform extraordinary and beyond the call of duty, the potential for a rank promotion exists, and those known as the best of the best are promoted to Top Rangers, who use an advanced styler known as the Fine Styler.

Allow me to apologize beforehand, but I am only looking for two more (outside myself and someone else) to start this RP. In order to ensure fairness between everyone else, those who wish to join will be subjected to review rather than first come, first serve. The cut-off date for sheets will be January 7, 2018 at exactly 12:00 AM CST.
That being said, this RP will primarily focus on Student Rangers striving to become official Rangers. The primary plot of the games will be followed, although with a few twists of my own. For instance, characters will be Student Rangers in Almia before being shipped to Fiore, where the characters will get their first taste at being Rangers outside the classroom.
For those who are interested, I have a set of rules that I ask to be followed. If you can not follow them, I will remove you from the RP without question.
Below is the character sheet that will be used for this RP. If you are interested, please fill it out below and post it for me to review later this upcoming week. Just remember: this isn't first come, first serve, so take your time and make it look like a professional character sheet. Additionally, please remove all periods from the [.hr] line breaks. Partner Pokémon will be established after characters graduate from the Ranger School.

- As with any RP, all guild rules apply to the RP and those partaking as roleplayers.
- My word is law. I'm a carefree guy and will listen to concerns, but don't test me with petty arguments once I've made my decision.
- No godmodding, no overpowered characters, etc. We're all capable roleplayers to know this.
- Romance is allowed, but before it delves into the mature category, fade to black and take it to the PMs.
- Please be active for the sake of the RP. If you must leave for IRL reasons or wish to drop out, please tell me beforehand.
- I will not accept any sheets that aren't in a spoiler. I will look over them, but they will not be accepted until put in a hider.
- Post expectations are lax to limit speed posting. A post is expected at least once a week to avoid rushed and hastily written posts.
- Quality over quantity. I would rather have a few great paragraphs over a novel from my players.
- Finally, character dialogue will be bolded and in color. Thoughts will be italicized and in color.
