I am currently new here and wanted to roleplay pretty much a cyberpunk kind of setting, I am not much of an expert with words but I can pretty much work my way into it. Anyhow, I've created a world and can guide you guys on what I've come up so far. This world involves magic but we wouldn't use it that much since this is a post-magic era. We'll be using a d20 for every roll, so don't worry if you're afraid if you're having doubts that it'll be hard since you don't know much about dices.

Past
Earth, the year 2344
Humanity used to rule the world, they've roamed the lands for thousands of years. Things were peaceful until one single idea changed everything permanently. The government and the world top companies funded a project that combines artificial magic and machinery together to build a new hybrid race. They call these robots Artimag Machina, these machines are capable of adapting to their environment and has intuition. Every single Artimags is connected to a terminal handled by government and companies, so they can easily track creatures under their country via Artimags. Most of the Artimags were also used for military purposes as front liners in war since they are disposable according to the government's perspective. They've created the Artimags as the slave for their vision of a better world, a utopia for their future.

The terminal was linked to a power source called Lilith, this also controls the Artimags' core that works as like brains. Lilith is a magical crystal on that is secured atop a tower protected by the government enforced with high maintenance security. The tower behaves like how telecom companies connect every cellular device through radio waves sending charges or power to the terminals. This tower keeps the Artimag's software updated and stable. (At this point the tower is like a compatibility magic. A good example of my logic behind this is the way we use certain models of batteries on different devices. If the battery is not compatible it might possibly short and burst.)

The year 2353
A catastrophic event hits nations when a great tsunami crushed Lilith. When Lilith crashed to the lands it spreads a radioactive energy leaving the people with no choice but to evacuate their homes. No one really expected that the destruction had bigger consequences, but after the Artimags shows signs of change in their behavior people started to panic and governments started annihilating every single Artimags. Though it wasn't easy for the government to do so since the Artimags' magical core overrides itself and the knowledge that they've adapted for years had taken its toll on the people. Artimags knows how people behaves, reacts, and thinks to certain situations and it was easy for the Artimags to foresee how people handle things.

It was later concluded that the Artimags had developed feelings and started questioning their existence and their rights. Once they've rebelled against the government it started a great war between the machines and man. There are certain people that also rebelled against the government and created an alliance of activists. The country was divided into two and the rise of the anarchists had begun.

The year 2370
After two decades, the war between machine and creatures was put into an end. Humanity had used all of their magical capabilities in making enchanted weapons in order to defeat the Artimags and its followers. Each mechanical weapons were embedded with a magical crystal linked to each of its user's brain. Most of the Artimags were almost erased from their existence, every single Artimags left from the war had abandoned and were hid underground where they call it the Garden of Eden.

All of the cities were deserted since the radioactivity was too harmful to humans. One city remains and they call it Neolitis. Neolitis was divided into three parts. The Slums is where all of the activists live and were despised of all the citizens that were against the machines. They were treated as pests and were forced into slavery. The center of the city is where all the other people dwell, most of them are common people, living average lifestyles and some are aristocrats that are rich enough to get a hold on the mechanical weapon used to defeat the Artimags. On the northern part of Neolitis lies the great building where the government stands, surrounded by military and enforced with a wall that towers 30 stories high.

Present
The Year 2377
It was rumored that Waybreaker, a tech company is working on another project. A better version of Artimags that would finish their goal of building a better world. This time they call this project Eve, a system that is a hundred percent safer, more controllable by their highly advanced unhackable system that is purely powered by Waybreaker's fuel.

Character Creation

■Self: Choose the name of your character and her
or his concept.

■ Competences: Spend nine points on competences.

■ Upgrades: Spend three points on upgrades or swap
some or all three for additional competence points.
Some upgrades require a main upgrade first. These
upgrades are marked on the character sheet. Decide
how your upgrades look and work.
Example: Is your »Enhanced Movement« upgrade a
mechanical implant? Are the whole legs artificial, or
is it a biogenetic modification? Or maybe it’s made of
nanotech super steroids that were installed via injection?
You decide.

■ Disadvantage: You may choose a significant problem
for your character and get another point in competences
or in upgrades this way. But now you have to
roleplay this problem.

■ Initial equipment: It reflects your competences. Put
for example a point in »Guns« and you have a pistol.
Put in two and you have a shotgun or a submachine
gun. Put in three and you have a mean assault rifle or
something similar

Leveling up

Every character gains a competence point at the end of an adventure. Get new upgrades in-game (buy, steal, receive them as payment).

Healing

How fast wounds heal depends on the conventions of the settings. The setting may have injectors with nanorobots that heal people in minutes or hours. On the other hand, dirty back alley clinics may do the job with realistic healing times? The GM decides.

Fighting System (d20)

When a character hurts someone she / he inflicts one damage point to the relevant health category of the target. The category depends on what kind of damage the weapon inflicts: »Blunt«, »Sharp« or »Bang

1-3: Bad Fail: You miss your target and may hit a bystander or one of your team, or your weapon just jams.

4-6: Fail: You just missed.

7-9: No fail, but no success either: You may transform it into a »glancing blow« but accept a severe complication. But if the target has cover, you hit the cover instead anyway.

10-13: Glancing Blow: You did it, but somehow a complication appears. But if the target has cover, you hit the cover instead anyway.

14-16: You hit it. Well done.

17-20: Bullseye! Do an additional damage point. You may choose to pass on this extra damage but gain some other advantage, like hitting the target in an unprotected spot or defeating a minor goon instantly. Positive or negative circumstances may modify your roll by +1 or –1.

When the damage reaches the »T.B.« entry in the health meter, make a »Tough Bastard« roll and see if your character can resist the pain or have to act defensively for a round. Users of the »Android body« upgrade don’t feel pain and ignore this.

When the damage reaches the K.O. entry, your character falls unconscious. If the character suffers further damage, she/he is dying and needs medical help soon.
