So my question for today is-... how do you fight correctly with a halberd, roleplay wise?

@DesperatePerson
I think halberd is usually used by footmen to fend against knight and calvary types soldiers. And they probably use like a pike wall with their sharp pointy edge while the axe can be used to pull someone down from his or her horses. Here is the link that I think it will be useful to you:

This channel has some good content that might help. The video's relates to various weapons, armour and misconceptions about the time.

Might not have a exact answer in that video, though that covers a wider range of weapons, good for information on the time etc though ans channel as a whole.

Poohead's articles are pretty good for this kinda stuff. He takes a real liking to the traditional weapons and if the answers not there, you can always ask him.

Thank you all for the suggestions! I've read and watched all what you've sent me but now I just need to know how to correctly write them down onto a paragraph when I'm fighting someone else in a roleplay.

My knowledge of the halberd is that they are more or less the swiss army knife version of a polearm. You could use the pointy end to fend off cavalry (charging into a row of pointy spears just doesn't work), or you could use (if you had one) the hook on the opposite side to yank the rider off their horse. Alternatively you can use the axe part of the halberd just to cut through people.

It really just depends on the situation, I assume.
