WHAT WE NEED: JAPAN AND EUROPEAN NATIONS
”The pen is mightier than the sword if the sword is very short, and the pen is very sharp.”
Nation Sheet Dump
It is January, 2015, and the world is tense. NATO and the EU are together rattling their swords, threatening against more aggression from the East. China’s military is growing, their dominance in the Asiatic nearly uncontested as they expand their Air Patrols and Naval Presence. Russia has taken control of the Ukraine after four months of conflict killing nearly 13,000 in its wake. In the face of a war-ready West, the East reverts to the pen, using political pressure to keep their rivals in line. Though the West is reluctant to use force, it may not have a choice, with Russia threatening to enter Romania as the scenario turns to protests within Bucharest with many wanting to succeed from the EU; and not to mention China’s continued encroaching on Japanese and Korean Air Defence Identification Zones in the Pacific.
Which weapon will prove more useful in 2015 and the following years, the pen or the sword?
Rules
Rules of the game are pretty normal. No godmodding or metagaming. Listen to the GM’s final VETO in major arguments. War is player-decided, but based on both side’s capabilities and strengths. Respect Guild rules and Etiquette at all times. Blablabla.
Level of Commitment
This is a High-Casual, Low-Advanced NRP, so I expect roughly 500 to 1000 words minimum per post, and at least one post per week. However, I am lenient with this, as I understand how work can get in the way (I’m a school teacher in China, I understand not having the time sometimes, just let us know!).
Basic Nation Sheet, feel free to add as much more as you want. For Capabilities, view (this).
