Age: 21
Height: 5'6" (168cm)
Weight: 56kg (124lbs)
Hair: Blonde (usually dyed red)
Eyes: Hazel
Role: Mechanic, crafting specialist
Personality:Beatrix is a girl of two halfs. On the one hand she can be incredibly focussed and precise, especially when working on new equipment she's 'discovered', on the other she can be loud, rambunctious and excitable to an annoying degree. She has a habit of playing practical tricks on people, often through the use of her mechanical skills, but always knows where to draw the line ensure no-one even gets intentionally hurt by any of her pranks.
Appearance: Most of what Beatrix wears is homemade, patched together from discarded industrial gear and salvaged pieces of tech, and none of it looks the same from one day to the next as pieces are added, replaced or 'upgraded' by newly discovered junk highly valuable items. Most of it doesn't quite fit right, but Trizie always argues that even if it doesn't look stylish, every piece is functional and useful. As long as she remembers what its function is.
Abilities/Weapons:
» Multitool - Trixie always carries her 'specialised crafting tool' with her into combat. Part pry bar, part weighted impact device, this tool helps her strip down and salvage any tech she finds. Okay, it's just a big hammer, but I'll let you be the one to tell her that. Along with this Trixie carries a collection of small devices which she's built, salvaged or bartered for, allowing her to carry out repairs and safely dismantle equipment for valuable components in the field. Failing that, she just hits things with her hammer until the bits she wants fall off.
» "If it ain't broke, it needs an upgrade!" - Forever tinkering with pieces of technology she's found, Trixie's never happier than when she's elbow deep inside a new machine, or preferably waist deep. Sometimes her devices help out her companions, other times... well, there was the incident with the storage shed. Or at least the crater that used to be the storage shed.
» Trixie's Lil' Helpers - Whether out of necessity or simple boredom Trixie is almost constantly building small mechanical automatons to assist in tasks. These range from small devices for making breakfast for her, to battle-ready combat drones designed to protect her and her friends in combat. While not capable of taking on enemies by themselves, these helpers can often provide a much needed distraction and can prove vital in tactical operations at times. At other times they just get in the way and go 'beep' at irregular intervals.
Background:A child of The Village, Trizie was raised by her parents until their untimely death in a accident on site when she was a young teenager. With nowhere else to go, she was permitted to stay in The Village, and was placed under her own care, having proved to be level headed enough to not be too much trouble to those around her.
Trixie took this as permission to have free rein over the settlement, and soon got into the habit of working her way into every nook and cranny, investigating and studying anything she could lay her hands on. While at first the people in charge were a little worried about the young woman's behaviour, when they discovered that Trixie had also gotten into the habit of performing small acts of maintenance on any equipment she found not working properly she was soon accepted into the engineering team on a probationary basis.
With access to the toolshops and warehouses, Trixie began putting her skills to less constructive uses, experiementing with any leftover scraps of technology she could beg, barter or steal 'borrow', crafting some truly innovative devices, some of which became standard field equipment for teams leaving the village.
When the opportunity came for 'Mechanics' to join the Birthed programme Trixie was one of the first to volunteer, not only to help out her community in a more pro-active manner, but also to get a chance to explore the world outside, and obtain even more technology to play with constructively analyse.
Notes:» In her spare time Trixie is working on building her own hover cycle, using similar technology as used in some of the Birthed, however due to the lack of supplies, and the fact that the higher-ups don't approve of the project, so far it's been slow work.
