The games aren't necessarily to the death (though accidents do happen), and are more than just tests of fighting skill. Though battle skills will be tested, there will other things such as speed, critical thinking, wits with technology, and things like that tested as well.

The basic layout of the whole thing could kind of be likened to a puzzle game. All the members from each species are placed in the arena (controlled kind of like the area in The Hunger Games), and it becomes a race to see who can get to the finish line first. Only thing is, no one know where the finish line is, and you have to search for clues. Sometimes another team will have a clue that you need, that would be when there would be a battle, and whoever loses the battle would be disqualified. They try to keep anyone from actually dying, but again, accidents happen.

I am intrigued. How many more players are you looking for? I would be willing to join, I just don't have a ton of time to make a super fleshed out character sheet. Probably bare-bones and everyone will get to know him over the course of the game.

Hello, I have been browsing the site looking for a good role-play, and I am intrigued! I love decent sci-fi role-plays, and thus this has caught my eye. I was worried that this would be yet another dead roleplay, but one of your recent posts makes me think otherwise. I can begin to make a character sheet tonight, and although it won't be my best work, I will try to make it good enough with what information I have and have a solid character! My next post will be a guaranteed post of my character. Just a quick question before I make my first post. Are humans that have been physically modified to the point where they look almost alien allowed, or would that be out of the question? Just thought I should ask, since we are far in the future timeline-wise after all. That is all I have to say, I will be waiting on a response. :-)

Erm... Physical modifications are allowed, but maybe not quite to that extent. They were in the military, so they'd have to maintain a certain level of acceptable appearance, and I can't imagine military convicts would have the facilities needed to do very extensive work lol I'd love for you to join though! It's been slow on getting members, but people are finally joining so hopefully we'll be able to start the rp soon.

My current character idea involves my character being born human, but shit happened to the body and has consciousnesses downloaded into a four or six armed robot body. After robot conversion is when the character would be convicted and sent to jail. Would wield four pistols and four knives. Is that acceptable?

Also how long has the Earth been long gone? By long gone I assume you mean destroyed or if intact uninhabitable.

Name~ Jeremiah 'Jerry' Balker

Age~ 27

Gender~ Male

Personality~ Jeremiah is unsure of himself. He never did have the ferocity that his great size would suggest, and is actually quite timid. At least until someone he cares about is threatened. Having being told all his life about how stupid he is, he is very self-conscious about his intelligence and decision-making ability. Because of this he would often stick close to someone who he perceives as being intelligent so that they can tell him what to do. Jeremiah is also quick to come to the rescue of any endangered comrades, especially those he considers friends. Friends are not something he's ever had many of, so he cherishes those who will befriend him and show him kindness.

History~ Throughout his life, Jeremiah was always bigger than everyone else. His parents had always emphasized that he needed to be careful, because the other children were not as big as he was so he had to be careful not to hurt them. At the same time, his parents were sure to tell him to use his strength to help those that couldn't help themselves. These lessons would mold him into a gentle giant and a fierce protector.

Being very big and not very bright, the military was an obvious career choice. His incredible size and his tendency to follow orders without question made him immediately popular. He was naturally always being handed heavy weapons to lug around, and could even serve as a one-man machinegun or mortar team in more extreme situations. Despite his below-average intelligence, he developed an affinity for heavy weapons of all manner and variety due to his extensive exposure to them. Jeremiah was also popular among field artillery crews, as he could load heavy shells far easier than anyone else. His dependability, skill, and loyalty allowed him to ascend to the rank of Corporal relatively quickly. Then, everything went south.

It was late one night when Jeremiah awoke to commotion from nearby. He went to investigate and came upon a group of four other soldiers attempting to have their way with a young woman. Jeremiah's protective instincts kicked in and he rushed to the woman's rescue, beating down her attackers. Two of the soldiers ended up hospitalized, but the other two were still severely battered. The next day, Jeremiah was brought in for questioning. The woman he had rescued turned out to be a higher ranking officer, but she was far too ashamed to admit that she had almost been raped. The worst part about the whole thing was that Jeremiah couldn't even defend himself. He can't speak. Jeremiah has been a mute since birth. Needless to say, the trial did not go well for him as a result.
