That might've been legit one of two good ideas GT had tho, making the titular artifacts the most relevant again and making their use mean something. The other being making the monkey part relevant again on some level, rather than magical stacking of hairdye and gel.

A total of one player mentioned doing something with their character in this OOC. When I asked where we might go beyond the first arc... nobody seemed to want to give me a serious answer. Only one other person besides myself posted anything in the last ten days. Two players haven't even checked in since posting their CS's (one of which hasn't been online in 8 days).

I asked about somebody becoming a Co-GM to help me with the IC stuff... and that fell on deaf ears aside from one poster. And then nobody said anything for FOUR MORE DAYS. If anybody actually wanted to see this thing move forward, they should've made it a little more clear and said something a little sooner than ten days. If nobody can be bothered to check in, actually discuss characters and world building, etc... then why would I go on with the RP? I appreciate the initial interest, but this RP seemed doomed before it got going. I can apologize for myself, but I can't apologize for the rest of the cast.

Honestly that sounds a fair bit like deflecting, considering we didn't have much to go by given the lack of even an intro in the IC and we were all likely waiting to see what you'd give us to work with. I know I was. Planning and building are fine and all but we're kind of completely in the dark here beyond the general idea of the game. People had nothing to do and got inactive, the onus is on the person running the game to keep the game running more often than not. You go have fun, but this is rather poor form.

I was waiting for anything from anybody given nobody had been saying anything for well over a week. When that much time passes and nobody says anything I feel as a GM like the players have lost interest. A dead OOC is the bane of most RP's on this site it seems. I appreciate you were ready to step up (and the only one posting in the OOC), but that wouldn't have made inactive people come back. I wasn't gonna waste your time helping get the IC going if nobody else was gonna be bothered enough to even say "yeah I'm still game."

If you guys wanna put the blame on me that's fine. I can't apologize for seven out of nine players going silent for ten plus days though.

Abandoning games happens all the time; honestly it would have been easier to just say 'yes I got bored of the concept'. No one would have faulted you for that. People move on, that happens, that is normal behavior. Now when it comes to faulting...

Do not push the blame on inactivity of the players when you were inactive here. There were steps you could have easily done instead of just letting us wait in the dark. If I might offer a quick suggestion on 'what steps could have been taken'; I would have gave a couple of pings to everyone, it would have been a visible way to indicate that 'no I did not abandon this' which it appeared to be when you did not offer anything, either IC or OOC to explain the status of this game.

Instead from all accounts of the signs, you just left it in the dark to rot. Communication is important, and frankly you failed to properly to your players.

Take responsibility for your own inactivity or don't, I don't care. Seven out of nine players have been silent for ten or more days. It isn't one person's fault they were silent, it was at least sevens.
