Hello and welcome to Mana-Script Academy, you are the 4th class here. As your school year begins there are many others just like you, who have been selected for this class. Our academy can support one class at a time, you may still interact with those who did not pass the exam and go to our sister school; Beautiful Nova Academy. Our school is an all-inclusive boarding school and will provide everything you need for the next two years of your life.
We have many safety precautions for those of you who believe that what you have can't be control, or if you do lose the ability to control your abilities. We have made a safe environment for you to meet friends for the rest of your life and learn the skills needed to survive and progress in our world.

Mana-Script academy is set in a world very similar to our own, except with one big difference; at the turn of the millennia portals opened to a different world, now dubbed as "The Other World" and the air from that world began to change the DNA of any creature that entered it, thus giving them Alterations, powers that now every school child receives when they are around 4. Upon getting an Alteration a human knows exactly what it does, but not everything that it can do, as an example someone may get the ability to control fire, but they wouldn't know how to make a flame spear and throw it.
The problem is Alterations come with downsides. These downsides relate to the power and usually the overuse. Going back to our fire example, if they used their powers for too long it could mean that their body would enter hypothermia from using all of its heat in fire attacks.
There is a way to overcome this and that's Alteration Evolution, which will be discussed with Player at the time me and a Co-GM decide is a good time. This basically makes the Alteration more specific or gives it a new ability, this can only happen once through natural means and may not happen for every player.
The idea behind this RP is to just have fun and spend a few years of time with some friends and use your powers in any way you see fit.
I will also allow hints at 18+ content and more mature themes when speaking, however if you wish to do that keep the specifics to PMs
Alterations have rarities; Common (2/3% of the world have this or something similar), Uncommon (0.5/1% of people have something similar), Rare (1,000 people have this), Special (very few people have had this) and Unique (you are the first documented case.

This is the OOC for Mana-Script: Alteration. Before we start RPing I want a few characters ready, so I can decide to put you in teams and dorms for the characters to go into, so I can force interaction.
Also we will be doing ranking, you can increase or decrease this rank by being a good student or by fighting the ones above you for points. There will be events, if this goes on long enough, where you can earn points.
You will also meet 4 teachers, they will either be played by myself, or if someone would like to be a teacher themselves, they can request. Just to note the Teachers will be a lot stronger and advanced than the students, so if you challenge one to fight be prepared to lose, unless you fight well enough.
