Just because the everything looks normal doesn't mean that it is; to your eyes they may just seen like normal everyday people shopping at the mall or on a field trip and all those missing people are mostly just runaways.
What if I was to tell you that there are private schools that no matter how much money you offer them will still not let your precious little Susan join. These schools only run at night and have tight security for teenagers, and have feeding rooms. At these schools, there are Dhampir, a being that is half human and half vampire; their school classes consist of combat, security, and weapons not your typical every day classes.
We cant forget about who the Dhampir go to school with because this is the most important, they go to school with Moroi; they are your typical cant stand the sunlight, need blood for life, ancient vampires, though they are still able to enjoy food and as long as they aren't directly in the sunlight they can still be about in the sun though they still prefer the night. They are either part of the twelve royal families or their families work for the royals.
Upon graduations the Dhampirs will be assigned to a Moroi as their guardians, their bodyguards against the evil in the world. The Strigoi, Morois who willing kill someone, they are the ones from your stories will sunlight will set them on fire and blood is the only thing they crave.
Alchemists are the only humans who are aware of Morois, Strigoi and Dhampir; they are the ones who help keep this hidden world a secret.

Our School is called St. Athan
Location: Tampa, Florida
Layout:
-Track on the side left side of the Dhampir's barracks; two buildings with three floors forming a 'L' shape. Females stay on the Second floor, Males on the first, and Guardian Instructors on the third floor.
-Dining hall/feeding hall are on the right side of the Dhampir's barracks and the left side of the Moroi's barracks.
-Moroi's barracks have three buildings forming and 'I" shape with four floors; Royals have their own building away from the non-royals, females stay the first floor.
- Open courtyard/garden in the middle with pebbles laid out forming pathways leading to the other side for the classrooms.
- Classrooms consist of a big gymnasium on left side, two story building in the middle consisting of history, math, science, elemental, guardian training, etc. On the right side is the Administrative area and the entrance into the school. On the other side of the Administrative building through another pathway is several small cabins for the Moroi instructors.
- Academy sits on 10 Acres consisting of: twenty horses (with stable), garden for food, edge of boundary are outlined with trees and the protection wards, cabins further away from the school for visiting families.
