I actually assumed you had left. @Burning Kitty asked a question and you never provided a answer. I know I haven't put really anything out because I have the skeleton of my CS filled out, but I've had so many RPs drop before we even start due to others that I don't post the full thing until I see others fully committed. Even then most die before the first 50 IC posts...

I'm still interested, also it's the weekend and most people are weekending. I'm still in if others are, but since you already dropped (CANCELED) In the title before anyone could reply back... I guess all hope is lost.

this so much. lol. I was like, I was waiting for the GM to say something. I didn't want to fully commit to my CS if it wouldn't work.

@Thecrash20 The sheet has been up for near a week, and we’ve already had 2/7 players dropout, leaving five. 3/5 then didn’t post anything at all, and to my mind had just quietly dropped it before we’d properly gotten off the ground. I’ll remove cancelled from the title but we really can’t get going for what I have planned without ~7 people.

@Burning Kitty I can’t abide by a Courser. In RP, the plan is for them to be ludicriously powerful enemies that will take a large portion of the team to take down. Sorry.

@AngelofOctober Your character really isn’t very “on-theme” with the idea of The Unstoppables. He seems like less of a superhero and more or a raider-type.

Sorry if me suddenly backing out harmed anyone else here, but the further the discussion went the more I realized this really wasn't what I wanted it to be.

I was looking at it more as satire and hilarity, rather than trying to be what basically equal out to be Fallout Avengers. I was looking more at parody characters who, while talented, were just about as human as most other people. Just stuck in delusions or their own stances of 'Wasteland Justice' that'd lead to a 'super hero' team that basically goes around massacring bad guys while spouting witty one liners and other cliche, stupid shit

Well, yeah, but I didn’t imagine most of our characters dying at the hands of random raiders that turn out to be just as skilled as they are.

This response kind of killed the idea for me.

Should've said this before, maybe it would have been a bit better than just saying "I'm out." Just came back to say it because I felt kind of guilty after seeing the (CANCELLED) situation. Probably not coming back, but I at least wanted to explain myself.

Yeah basically this. What was good about being able to play the Silver Shroud in 4 was that you're not the Silver Shroud, you're some random Vault dwelling fuck who put on an outfit and made a silly voice. You're still fully capable of dying at the hands of any raider you come by, you just so happen to not be high out of your mind (or maybe you are if you play like I do). You're not invincible but you feel invincible and that's what makes it so fun.

Uh yeah, that's kind of the point. Fleabite's personality subverts the way he looks. He's charming and persuasive and actually quite humble, I designed him or using him to subvert our expectation of a hero

@Raddum Yeah, that’s totally fair. To be honest with you, half the reason I cancelled it was because my vision for this was a little... Unclear. I figured I should step back and reevaluate what I’d want out of an Unstoppables series. I’m certainly not going for an Avengers type thing — the closest stylistic contemporary I can think of is Kickass. When I mentioned “random raiders” originally, I really meant just random raiders NPCs basically. I totally imagine our characters getting killed by Raider Bosses or even particularlly large dogs. Like getting killed by Cook Cook instead of Raider Fiend #27. That said, we’d probably end up knee deep in enough raiders that someone would die that way eventually.

@AngelofOctober Fair, but that’s just not really the sort of character I’m looking for in this ensemble. I guess the sort of vibe I’m going for is to have a cast that looks like they could leap off the Wasteland-tinged Unstoppables pages. You could certainly strike this kind of vibe by writing a character like the Antagonizer, or someone whose Hubris Comics backstory is of a villain.

That should have been made clearer, because I was under the impression it was going to be a fallout setup with super heroes, but not be the main focused. By the by Deadpool is not a traditional hero. Fleabite was the very parody of Wakanda Aquaman tribal superheroes. Sure he doesn't spring off a comic book page. However! He fits perfectly fine. I assumed the Unstoppables were getting help from others. Not that we had to specifically be Unstoppables.
