Guinevere Stark
Pepper got off of the phone and walked back on over to the boys, looking stressed. Guin wasn't her biological daughter, but she was the closest thing Pepper had to one. And as much as she wished Tony would propose already, after nearly seven years of being together, it didn't seem like he was planning on doing it anytime soon. She didn't want to have a kid out of wedlock. So for now, Guin was it for Pepper. "Since neither of you can be responsible, I've notified S.H.I.E.L.D. about the abduction and they're already working on it. Natasha, Steve, and Thor are flying in from New York now. They'll be here as soon as they can to help us find the kids."
"...You're bringing S.H.I.E.L.D. in on this?!" Banner asked, flabbergasted. "Those idiots wouldn't know the difference between a terrorist and a hostage if it smacked them over the head!"
"Oh, grow up Banner!" Pepper snapped, her eyes ablaze. "If you and Tony didn't try to solve every problem by playing superhero, a lot of these situations wouldn't happen in the first place! Phil was a good guy - he gave his life - and yeah, guess what? He worked for S.H.I.E.L.D. They're good people."
Banner looked away. "'Good people' have done a lot of bad things, Pepper..."
Meanwhile, Guin looked at Lance for a moment. She craned her neck around the medical lab set up, trying to see if she could spot anything that could be used to dose Lance with radiation. She spotted something that could do the trick and she shook her head. "Nah, kidnappers don't do that sort of thing, Lando. Trust me, this is the seventh time someone's kidnapped me. It gets super predictable and cliché." Of course, she was lying. She figured that was exactly what Sterns was going to do.
She tried to jump to her feet, but with her hands tied and the sedative still in her system, she couldn't get off the ground. "First step is simple. Don't panic. Second step is to find a way to free our hands."
