Tales of Arcadia
PREMISE
Welcome to the land formerly known as Arcadia.
Many centuries ago, this world was a unified realm with one king, populous and prosperous. They say that it was once filled with magic, where beasts and fiends lurking around waiting to devour you was not a possibility. Such days have long passed and are just mere stories now, fables of a golden period that are told to children.
Not many are sure on why the old world fell. Some involved a calamity; a large meteor, a destructive earthquake, or a great firestorm that enveloped the land. In others, the king had gone mad, rebellions ensued and the unified world became split into seven regions. A few tales involved a wicked witch who cast a curse upon the land.
The time of the unified realm is now nothing but fragments of recorded history and the only proof we have of the time when the world still had magic are the relics from the past. Mysterious ancient artifacts from the golden age forged under orders of the one King, now scattered all around the wide world. Legends say that when all one hundred relics are brought together, magic would return to the world and the successor to the king would reveal himself. Sadly, that day has yet to come.
As absurd as it sounds, destiny has somehow lead you here. Plucked out from the modern world, you will be blessed with a relic of your own and be plunged into the world of Arcadia. Good luck!

INTRODUCTION
Along with my passion for RPing coming back, @Zeroth has inspired me to look at this concept and again, give it a go.
Like many others, this'll be a New World/Reincarnation type of story. The initial arc will be linear in plot, probably not that long, and a bit straightforward. If we remain active and intact by the end of it, it'll serve as a jumping off point for the succeeding arcs and gradual world building.
What I'd require for this RP would be patience and sustained enthusiasm/interest (hopefully). Given my line of work, I can promise weekly updates but when not swamped with work, I could probably dish out updates every two to three days if everyone's extremely active.
