Zeke for the most part comes off as a laid-back guy, but his temper is just below the surface, waiting to boil over. He is very dedicated to his family, often bringing little treats back for his younger siblings or playing games with them until bedtime. He is anxious about Rumspringa as his father has placed a lot of pressure on him to ensure no harm comes to the other youth as they run around. There is zero question in Zeke’s father’s mind as to whether his son will become baptized in the church – only making Zeke more nervous as he is not sure what he wants to do.

Elizabeth is a beautiful young woman of Moroccan and Egyptian descent. She has a slim, statuesque build and seemingly flawless, warm, caramel-colored skin. Dark, thick locks of hair cascade down her back and curls around her youthful face. She has a prominent nose and full lips that always look poised to speak something important, but her most compelling features are her piercing brown eyes that can change from affection to aversion in an instant without notice. Weighing in at a little over one hundred sixty pounds and standing at five feet, ten inches tall in flats with all the grace and poise of a queen, Liz probably could have been a model if it weren't for the way she was raised. Liz carries herself elegantly with good posture, long confident strides, and her head held high. Due to this and her eventual love of high heels, she often looks taller than she really is.

During Rumspringa, Liz plans to hang up her usual Amish garb and start dressing the way she's always fantasized about. She'll get rid of the usual bonnet that covers her head and let her wild curls free, start wearing jeans, pants, and joggers rather than the same old dresses, and buy the first pair of beautiful high heels she spots in the clothing store. She'll love striking makeup, and as far as jewelry goes, Liz will always be seen with an assortment of flashy necklaces, rings, and bracelets. With these accessories, she could make the most basic and minimalist outfits look like they belong in a fashion editorial.

The King Family generates enough income to live comfortably; each member of the family has their own way of contributing. While Elizabeth's father works in construction, her mother sells baked goods at the local market.

Elizabeth often helps her mother with the selling of her baked goods. As the oldest daughter, she is also expected to help out around the house. When thrust into the "real world," she will eventually land a job at a department store.

Ever since the day she was born, Elizabeth King has been an adventurous free-spirit, something that she probably inherited from her birth parents. There is a certain confidence in the way that Liz walks and talks; she has a way of commanding attention from the moment she steps foot into a room and making strong first impressions. She has never been one to shy away from any platform or spotlight, and will always speak her mind without hesitation or timidity. This, of course, has gotten her into a lot of trouble with her adoptive parents in the past. Thanks to her mother's superb parenting, however, Liz has grown to be a very self-reliant and independent young woman. Elizabeth enjoys singing, and does so in the privacy of her bedroom whenever she isn't singing with the choir. She also keeps a book full of songs she has written over the years; these songs are not the usual gospel, German songs she is expected to sing in church, therefore she keeps the book hidden from her family. Another hobby or interest of hers would be adventuring, which is why she is very excited to explore New York.

Liz has no idea what she wants to do in the future or who she wants to become. She knows for a fact that if she chooses to return to Marrowbone, she will be expected to follow in her mother's footsteps and become a homemaker. But if she chooses not to return, her options are limitless! Maybe she wants to see where the whole singing thing will carry her; she could become a Broadway star or sign to a record label. Or maybe she'll get her GED, go to college, and become a surgeon or lawyer. Who knows?

Elizabeth is looking forward to finally being able to spread her wings and learn how to live life without the aid of her parents. She wants to experience things that she's never gotten the opportunity to in her community; she can't wait to explore New York City, eat foreign foods, buy new articles of clothing, learn how to use the internet, watch movies and musicals, go to a few Broadway shows, and more.

Rebecca King was twenty-five years old when she found out that she would never be able to have kids. For years, the woman and her husband Joseph had desperately tried to create a child of their own; this news was nothing short of devastating. Two years later, however, after realizing just how much they longed to be parents, the married couple decided to adopt. Elizabeth Sarah King was born on a warm, Spring morning, the child of a sixteen year old Egyptian immigrant who, due to the pressure placed upon her by Elizabeth's birth father, gave her baby to the Kings to raise as their own. Rebecca and Joseph would eventually go on to adopt a boy of German descent after being begged by their daughter for a little brother.

Growing up, life was fairly easy for Elizabeth. Thanks to her natural charisma and charm, she made friends quickly and easily. After finishing school, however, Liz was immediately expected to take on a full-time role as her mother's helper, something that Liz, being the free-spirited and adventurous person that she was, had never been fond of. She was expected to sing in the choir every other Sunday, help her mother in the garden, clean up around the house, take care of her little brother, and prepare baked goods for her mother to sell at the market.

Elizabeth has been looking forward to Rumspringa since she was thirteen years old; she is eager to explore unfamiliar places and learn new things. At the end of it all, however, she is unsure of whether or not she will want to return "home." On one hand, she desperately wants to lead a different life than what is already laid out for her. On the other, she is hesitant to leave behind the people who took her in when she had nothing and loved her more than anything in the world.

History

Biography: Elijah was born during a rather calm and peaceful night in November to his parents Jacob, and Hannah. An inquisitive child even when first coming into the world, Eli hardly cried and instead seemed to stare at the world in wonder. Even then his parents knew he was going to be a handful. He was raised as a normal child in the Amish church would be raised and aside from showing a natural talent for music Eli's childhood was rather unimpressive. He spent most of his time taking music lessons and he became adept at playing the Piano, Guitar, Trumpet, and Baritone. He hardly ever really saw his parents much, being raised instead by the community more than anything and while he loved everyone he couldn't help but feel trapped.

By the time he was 14 he could only count down the days to his Rumspringa and the chance to get away. He has huge dreams, wanting to dive right into trying the 'English' culture and moving forward with his life instead of being hooked down by his upbringing. Finally the time is here, and Eli is going to make as much of it as possible, because despite his wishes to leave he truly does love his family which means a hard decision is in his future.

Dreams and Goals: Wants to someday be on Broadway and to become a composer.

While both parents were alive and healthy the family was well off as Ryon was the best Vet in Marrowbone. They also had a high standing in the community. (Being the brother of Levi didn't help with that at all. No way. _{It did}.) After Mira became ill they started waning as it was a constant battle. Then when the parents died Eliza took over as the money maker and they started to have to make sacrifices. As they were the daughters of Ryon some would help every now and then but it still wasn't easy as Ade was what one would say a troublemaker.

Ryon Paul Miller - Deceased. Ryon is the brother of Levi and father of Eliza, Adelinde, and Elysia. He was a veterinarian and the main person people would go to for animal care. One day he was caring for a horse and thee animal freaked out about something and ended up kicking Ryon killing him.

Mira Aster Miller - Deceased. Mira Miller became sickly while giving birth to a boy who died not long after birth. She never really recovered and when Ryon tragically died she soon passed away, and most think it was from grief.

Eliza Maureen Miller - Age 25. Eliza is Adelinde's older sister. After their parents' death, Eliza hid her pain to take care of her sisters. She does her best but her strict standards, even for Marrowbone standards, causes a slight rift between her and Adelinde. Both think that they know what's best for young Elysia. Currently, she works as a pediatrician.

Elysia Rose Miller - Age 7. Seeing as Elysia is only seven, there isn't much to her as of yet. She has barely spoken a word since her parents' death and only has spoken to Adelaide and Eliza. She is a hard worker, but many are concerned for her mental health since she so rarely speaks now.

Ade is fairly attractive. Her hair is a long chocolate brown just like her mother's. Her skin tone is warm ivory. Her eyes are a light hazel and look almost exactly like her father's. There is a single scar on her right cheek. Ade is about 5'7" and weighs 109 pounds.

Out in the 'real' world, Ade dresses based on comfortableness. She doesn't care what her clothes look like as long as it has a nice feeling. Typically Ade has her hair down, but will occasionally have her hair up in a ponytail. She usually does this when she is doing archery, cooking, or gardening. She also refuses to wear jewelry of any kind.

Adelinde was born to Ryon and Mira Miller on a windy fall night. Years later it would seem like the spirit of the wind seeped into who the young girl was. At a young age, Adelinde continuously got into trouble as her desire for adventure and to explore the world kept driving her to go farther and farther away from home. She would often get in trouble because of this. When her older sister left to see the world, the young spirit begged Eliza to bring many stories home to tell.

While waiting for Eliza to come back home, a new member joined the member clan that Ade instantly grew attached to. A little sister of her own for her to tell stories to and be friends with, and when Eliza got home they'd all have so much fun together. Unfortunately, when the older Miller daughter came home, she seemed to have developed a deep anger for the outside world. Soon she joined the Miller parents in punishing Ade for her 'wild' ways. Then when their parents died, the whip cracked down even more. Ade, in an attempt to rebel against Eliza's harsh regime, caused as much trouble as she could without requiring too much punishment. She soon became considered the Black Sheep of the Millers. Some said it was probably her way of coping with her parent's death and that Rumspringa would cure her. Well, they will have to wait and see if you can 'cure' a journeyers spirit.

Dreams to see the world. She doesn't know what her ideal job to do that would be but she thinks she'd like to try capturing the essence of the world. IE photography. She's never taken a picture before though so she doesn't know how much she would love it. Her goal is to scout out a place to escape to during Elysia's Rumspringa but she is uncertain if she'd even go through with it.

Ade hopes that Rumspringa confirms what she has always believed. That she belongs out in the world traveling from end to end of the planet discovering what it has to offer. But she is scared that she'll discover that the world is as awful as Eliza would always say. Because if Eliza is right and Ade grows to hate the outside world, then she'll no longer know who she is.

Edgar is usually seen with an awkward or weird smile plastered upon his face that goes along with his somewhat childish face. His hair takes on a dark brown color, which he likes to keep combed and brushed back so his locks of hair doesn't get into his face or anything. He stands about five foot eight and weighs about one hundred and fifty-two pounds. He's very slender but toned in some areas of his body. His eyes take on a rum colored tint to them and showcases all of his emotions. Edgar's skin is light and fair and he even has some freckles here and there, if one looks really closely.

His style is somewhat really uncaring. Edgar does not really have a sense of fashion and it is definitely showcased in whatever he wears. Edgar usually wears a t-shirt of some kind, jeans {ripped or not} and a pair of Converses. Whatever pleases him at the time is what he'll wear, honestly and he will even have a pair of headphones with him, almost always.

Poor, poor Edgar. Just as cute as he can be and a button but he's an extremely awkward and weird individual. Though, most people do love the sense of humor that he has and often laughs at his jokes or puns that he expresses. Edgar is widely intelligent in just about everything and will often state certain facts that no one really cares about within the topic of conversation. He's also clever when it comes to getting himself or someone else out of a sticky situation and distracting people, too. He has a technique as he likes to call it. B I O G R A P H Y

Edgar was born to Alissa and Cornelius Hickenbottom and since then, it seemed like Edgar was the joy they needed in life since he was the only child of the duo. When Edgar was born, his mother often sang to him little songs while his father worked on the farm. Honestly, him and his father aren't really that close as him and his mother are but at least they got along when Edgar would help out on the farm or do something manly.

Growing up, he was really anti social towards just about everyone that he met. He had a hard time making friends but when he did, it kind of changed him a little bit. He became slightly more open and acceptable towards others but not by much. Most did not really like him because he would talk to them one day and be stand offish the next. Edgar knows that this bothered people but did it anyway though now that he's older, he hardly does that anymore.

Now that he's sixteen and sort of coming of age, Edgar cannot wait to get out of Marrowbone and see what the world is like outside of the small town. Good or bad, he's just going to be happy to be around his friends and see if they can help him out of his shell a little bit.
