Nensu was silently trying to breath normally, and the very sight of the man was just making her go to the point of hyperventilating. However, she sucked in her gut, and stared at him with silent hatred and discontent in her eyes. She could hear Loma's growls inside of her head, and the very sound of her malicious counterpart made her instinctively grip Midoriya's hand. The girl didn't know what in her right mind made her think of doing such an action, but it was all she could really think about, that could tame the very feeling that was growing inside of her head.
She stayed quiet, even as she watched her father speak to the teen next to her, before momentarily closing her eyes.
'It's okay. You're okay. But...am I, really?'
Nensu mentally asked herself this question before opening her eyes, and letting go of her companion's hand.

Midoriya felt Nensu's hand reach for his, while his body stayed stiff with his gaze fixed on the man towering before them. He knew what happened last time Nensu met with Endeavor's presence. Now he could guess how she felt, fighting against Loma who was probably dying to take over and pounce at the hero. He knew she'd fight back, and would gladly help her with it.
Meanwhile, Endeavor's gaze moved from Midoriya's nervous face down to the sight of the two holding each others' hands.
"...I see you've made yourselves... friendly."
The hero pointed out. Midoriya observed his face. Was he angry? Or amused? It was hard to point out when there was a flaming beard on his face and he was half scowling.
"The sheer power of your quirk is comparable to that of All Might's. You've been a perfect practice for Nensu's future career."
Endeavor continued carelessly.

Nensu was clearly trying to keep herself under wraps, while she felt the lingering pain going through her. It caused her to hold her head with her free hand, while her other continued to grip Midoriya’s own. Her eyes were closed, making quiet whimpers of pain, while she was internally praying for the man to brush passed them, so she wouldn’t see his flaming beard and the scowl on his face. At this very moment, he was testing her willpower on holding Loma back.
’Just go away. Don’t make more worse than how it is’
The girl thought, as she tried to block out the voice of her father.
However, the very last comment made her briefly lose control, as she suddenly let go of Midoriya’s hand, and charged up the frost on her right side.

Midoriya lost grip of the situation for the first second when Nensu's hand slipped out of his. But when he felt the chill air from her arm, he perfectly understood the situation. And he knew he had to stop it no matter what. Losing her cool was not good for Nensu. He bolted forward and reached for her shoulder, turning her towards him while putting himself between the two. If he was standing closer to her than Endeavor, she wouldn't attack the hero in a frenzy so easily. If not... well, he'd have to wish for the best of his luck.
"STOP!"
He yelled at the two.

Hiems suppressed the urge to jump out and help ease the situation. It was a fight of emotion, where he had no place however he looked at it. He had to let Midoriya completely deal with it. Trust the heart of gold he had. 'Or I could silently slither to the faculty.' He thought. That was tempting. If someone like All Might could come the situation would be finished quickly. One way or another.

One of her nerves were hit, painfully. Ever since that incident, Nensu took any relating comments quite personally. It wasn't very funny to joke around about it, especially if an individual making those said-comments happens to be her own father. The frost, which eventually turned into ice, was very sharp and very quick to conjure, and it covered at least half of her arm; from elbow to finger tip, it became a spear of ice in only a few seconds. Then, she felt and hear the protest from her green-haired companion, who just happened to appear in front of her, silencing telling her not to do something she might regret later on. In truth, it wasn't something she would feel bad about, afterwards. She was mentally telling Midoriya to step aside...before pausing.
'Wait, why am I even thinking of doing such things? Even with my quirk alone, I've never laid a bad hand on anyone before'.
Nensu thought, as she looked at Midoriya, who stood between her and the flaming man. After this realization, it silently scared her; terrified to the point where she just might become Loma. Nensu had always refrained from intentional violence, and this was the one time where she may need to self-check herself, because it just wasn't a part of who she was. She was caring, gentle, and empathetic; total opposites, compared to Loma.
It took the female teen a minute to calm down, while she started using her left side to warm herself (since she was shivering).

Midoriya waited nervously as Nensu paused on her way. His eyes glanced at the frozen spear, obviously made with harmful intent. Will she throw it? Or swing it? Just when he was about to open his mouth again, Nensu finally stepped back. She warmed herself up with the fire side of herself, curing herself from the aftermath of the move she made. A great sigh escaped out of the green haired boy's mouth as he almost collapsed to his knees. His hands reached Nensu's shoulders and pat them gently.
"...thank you."
He said. Then he turned to Endeavor. He was still wearing the mundane scowl, his eyes fixed on Midoriya. Midoriya bit his lips. Did he not care about what just happened? What he might've caused further than that? His hands slid off Nensu, and the boy took a step forward to the hero. The difference in height intimidated the teen in his instincts, but he didn't stand down.
"I might have something like All Might, but I'm not All Might."
He said.
"And just like that, she's nothing like you."
Without waiting for an answer, Midoriya took Nensu's hand and dragged her past Endeavor, no matter how she reacted.

While Nensu warmed herself up, as quickly as she could, she felt Midoriya’s hands upon her shoulders, who looked just as relieved as she was. She had never had an outburst like that before, and she wondered if it was only because of her father’s very careless being. She was scared of the very fact that she might become Loma, as well as express the same amount of the very hatred that her counterpart had for the man. Was she even capable of such dark thoughts? She hoped not...
It was then that Nensu realized that while Midoriya was in front of her, the very eye contact shared between them was apparent. There was deep, genuine concern and compassion in Midoriya’s green eyes, and Nensu could only feel that security he was able to give off, just by his own presence alone. As a result, the girl felt herself, once again, at ease.
She watched worriedly, once Midoriya turned his full attention to Endeavor, and listened to the defense in his words.
’He’s right. We’re nothing like our city’s heroes. Whether related or not, we’re ourselves, and the born-quirks are ours alone. We use them as we please, whether for good or evil. We just can’t be someone we’re not’
Her thoughts were then cut off, when she felt the other teen’s took her hand, and walked past her father. She was surprised by the sudden action, but then, it was for the best.

"...thanks for holding on to yourself back there."
Midoriya said. He was still looking forward, not daring to turn around after such a bold move he made. He was half afraid to see Endeavor's angry face, and half afraid to see Nensu's sad face. Either didn't make him feel great. He walked restlessly through the interior of the stadium, leading them to the awarding ceremony.
Not far away the teachers were waiting for them. Aizawa, Present Mic, Midnight, and Cementoss were gathered up in a discussion until Aizawa noticed the two approaching them.
"You don't really have to come out if you don't want to."
Midnight told Nensu.

Nensu had her head down, while Midoriya continued to lead them to the arena.
“I could only hold back what I could. Damn, that comment really hurt. He really had the nerve to say such a thing”.
She softly growled, having to be displeased about people joking about that particular phenomenon. There wasn’t anything humorous about the harm she unintentionally put on her companion. She kept her hand in the said-teen’s own, as they happened to come across the teachers in the distance.
Hearing Midnight directly speak to her, Nensu took a deep breath, having to forcefully will the painful thoughts away, and look what’s before them.
“It’s okay, Midnight, I’ll do it. But only if Midoriya comes with me”, she said, softly, trying to not break down on the spot.

"I mean, that's fine with me but..."
Midnight turned to the other heroes, who looked back with no visible signs of protest against the suggestion. Aizawa, wrapped in his bandages, shrugged and moved aside. Midnight let out a sigh of relief and directed two to the 2nd place podium... right next to an angry Bakugou in shackles. Midoriya flinched and hid behind Nensu, peeking over her dhoulders at the furious ash blonde.
"He... ummm.. was in that state for ever since he woke up."
Midnight said awkwardly.

Nensu allowed Midnight to guide them to the second-place podium, right next to a very angry Katsuki, along with her brother Shoto having to stand on the third-place podium. Having to witness the anger of the first place winner, the female student quietly gasped, while Midoriya hid behind her, since she was slightly taller than him.
’I must have given it to him pretty good, with bad effects’.
She thought while reaching back to take the green-haired teen’s hand once more.
“Are you okay, Midoriya?”, she asked him, while keeping her wary yet worried eyes on the struggling blonde.

"Y...yeah, kind of. I just never sawan angry Kacchan in that much restraints.."
Midoriya answered. He yelped as he felt something on his hand, startled, but settled down noticing it was nothing but Nensu's hand.
"I'll be fine, I guess."
He said and slowly walked out from behind her.

---

The closing ceremony started not so long after. The students were raised into the main stage, hearing the roaring crowd once again. Midoriya looked around to spot Endeavor in the visitors seats, but he failed to spot a flaming beard anywhere. All Might entered the stage by landing right next to Midnight, and started handing out the medals to the top three students.
"Congratulations on coming up to second place!"
He said as he gently placed the medal over Nensu's shoulders.

Nensu smiled small at Midoriya’s uncertainty, but then she kept her hand in his own, merely to send her own waves of comfort, and vice versa. It would be quite obvious for anybody to assume that there was something between the two students, just by witnessing this action alone. But, honestly, at this rate, Nensu didn’t really care on what they saw and assumed; Midoriya was there to provide the security that she needed; that only he can give her.
He was standing next to her during the whole closing ceremony, and admittedly, she thanked him for it. With All-Might having to place the medal over her head, Nensu titled her head forward, in order to take it.
“Thank you, Mister All-Might”, she softly said, in thanks of receiving such an award.

All Might smiled back at Nensu and slowly turned to the last person to give the shining gold medal to. Unfortunately, he couldn't see a winner's smile-when Bakugou was still raging with the restraints being the only thing keeping him in place. All Might flinched a bit as his protests got even more violent as he approached the teen. He carefully reached out his muscular hand and pulled the gag out of his mouth.
"LET ME GO, ALL MIGHT! THIS KIND OF VICTORY ISN'T REAL! I NEED A REMATCH@"
"C...congratulations~"
All Might gingerly placed the medal down, but Bakugou took it by his mouth and resisted.
"LET ME GOOOO!"
All Might finally pushed the medal down to his neck after a long time of struggle.
"Contragulations on the victory!"
He said as he backed up.

Nensu could feel the sense of victory lingering inside of her as she looked down at the shiny silver medal in her hand, having to completely ignore what was going on in the next podium over. Looking at the green-haired teen, who next to her.
"Hey, Midoriya, I believe you also won second place for saving me".
She said, trying to give him a soft smile of encouragement on her face, in order to try to, at least, lighten the mood for the both of them. She herself was trying not to think too much into what happened earlier, but then, such a victory shouldn't go unnoticed either. However, at the same time, the girl can't exactly ignore on what happened either.

Midoriya returned a sheepish smile to Nensu.
"It was the least I could do for you, really."
He said. His eyes still made glances at Bakugou, who was still rambling about how the fight went. Midoriya eventually fixed his gaze on Nensu. There was no good looking at the explosive teen having a bad time about getting the first place in a 'wrong way.'
"He's got his own rules of winning, Kacchan."
He muttered.
"About 'flawless victory'."

Hiems was back at his seat, slump over it as usual and mindlessly staring at the progressing ceremony. He felt a tap on his shoulder and turned around, seeing Todoroki on the row behind him.
"How's Nensu?"
He said. Hiems shrugged.
"She seemed fine. Not badly beaten up at the least."

Nensu turned back to look at the restrained Bakugou, having to feel sorry in purposely giving him such an easy victory. Maybe there was some way that she could repay him, and make up for his negative response; sometime, after the tournament, she could.
"I can't blame him, really. I willingly gave up on winning; I couldn't risk hurting another male student, the way Loma did. I'll try to find some way to fix up the damage with him".
She explained, having to feel pity and sympathy for the blonde teen. Maybe they could do some kind of rematch, somewhere else?

The day of the Sports Festival passed with a spectacular set of events. The next day at school everything was back to usual- they took classes after classes. Aizawa was still a walking mummy but he hardly seemed to care about it. It was going to end as another boring school day, but as soon as Kaminari was about to complain about it-
"Remember how professional heroes were at the Sports Festival? After the performance the hero offices have made requests for students to pay a visit to their office during the job experience period. Some of you may have got invitations, but for the others who didn't, you can choose from a number of locations the school provided for you."
Aizawa announced at the end of the day. At the chalkboard the number of invitations students recieved were displayed-to a devastating result for some of them.
"I DIDN'T GET ANYTHING!"
A dreadful cry came from the corner of the classroom. Meanwhile, Aizawa casually handed the lists for each students.

Hiems looked at his list of hero offices available. After a 'moderate'(in his opinion) performance at the festival he awarded himself a handful of exactly a dozen invitations. It wasn't bad anyways-compared to how flashy some quirks in his class were, his was more dull without the explosions, fire, and a gigantic wall of ice.
"Not bad."
He told himself.

Midoriya looked at the rather simple number of choice he was given. A hero named Gran Torino had offered a look around their office. And he had no idea who it was, even after going through his memories of the notes he made about professional heroes and their tactics.
"Hmmm.."
He stared holes into his paper as he tried to get any clue of the name.

Nensu gave a look of reassurance towards her brother, who sat a few seats behind her, before turning back to listen as Aizawa notified them on the heroes who picked them out for internship. The slip she received was from Rated-R Hero Midnight, who played referee back at the Sports Festival. She was curious as to why she would even be picked by such a hero; not to mention that Midnight was her total opposite when it came to showing modesty. However, Nensu remembered her kindness back at the tournament, and she had to give the other some credit.

Midoriya gave up soon enough and turned around to his classmates. Some were excited about the number of offices that decided to invite them, and some were in a dull state by the fact that nobody had called for them. Then, he tilted over to Nensu's side.
"Todoroki-san, do you have any specific office in ind?"
He asked. Knowing she'd never go to Endeavor's office he wondered where she would go. There would be hundreds of offers just from the usefulness of her quirk- giving her a wide range of choices.
