Eliezer and Hildebrand had reached Wynton Forest to find chaos and destruction, telling them that the Dainian troops had arrived much sooner than they had expected. Before they could say or think of anything else, however, a bright beam filled their visions and they found themselves in a void of darkness with the Allister, the Lunarian king, and the entity taking Raven's form. Eliezer noticed the remorseful expression on Roberto's face, and assumed that whatever experience he had personally gone through during the period of their unexpected time travel had changed his outlook on the situation. The prince had been indignant at the king's attitude towards him, but when it was mentioned that they were going to be returned, he knew that they were going to have to attend to more urgent issues.
He looked at the spell in confusion, and was about to ask how to use it, but he was already back at the Nemes Estate with the others. He opened one of the doors to the balcony just slightly and peered out to see both Nemes and palace guards searching the area. If royal soldiers were at the estate, then it was likely that they were looking for him. What happened while they had been gone, and how long had they been gone for? He figured that the room they were currently in had already been searched, but there was no guarantee that no one was going to enter anytime soon, and the Lunarian king and princess, as well as Allister, should not be found where they were. With a plan in mind, Eliezer turned to address his knight.
"Sir Hildebrand, we shall approach the guards and attempt to find out what has taken place and how much time has passed without revealing where we have been," he instructed, before turning to Allister and Roberto. "Allister, Your Majesty, please take Lady Omrea with you and avoid the guards while you leave this place."
"Are you suggesting that we provide the guards with some fib about where we have been all this time, Your Highness?" Hildebrand asked, slightly amused.
Eliezer nodded flatly. "Exactly."
The prince and the knight silently left the room and made their way downstairs. Peering around a corner, they spotted one of the royal soldiers, and gave each other a nod before stepping out into the open and beginning their act. Hearing their footsteps, the soldier turned and saw them, and immediately ran towards them.
"Your Highness! Sir Hildebrand! Are you alright? What happened to you? We have been searching for you everywhere!" The soldier exclaimed.
"I apologize. Something did not feel right to me earlier. I foresaw that His Highness was in danger, so I took him into hiding. We stayed until I was absolutely sure it was safe to come out, as Prince Eliezer's security is my top priority."
"As it should be," the guard replied approvingly.
"Keeping track of time was difficult while we were hidden," Eliezer pointed out. "How long has it been, and what happened to Lady Nemes and her family?"
"It has been some hours, Your Highness," the soldier answered. "It is suspected that the Nemes Estate has been breached by assassins, and the Nemes family has been sent to the palace to be kept safe. Your own family is anxious, we shall ensure you are safely escorted back to the palace as well."
Eliezer was relieved to hear that Adelina and her family were unharmed. He could only hope that the Lunarian royals had made a clean escape from the estate.
