Modern Day
[indent]It's here. Today. Not some far off battlefield or distant plain. Nor is it a labyrinth of medieval factions or fantastical creations. It is 2018. The Known World, a world similar to our own but different all the same. The same amenities, luxuries and technologies we are afforded today exist just as they do in this world; but the land masses are different. The countries are of your own creation, the future, yours to build. Modern Day is a fictional nation roleplay that begins on January 1st, 2018.
In Statehood, you represent a Political Party within one of many nations in the Known World. It is modern day and all the amenities, luxuries and technologies that exist in our world exist here. Your limitations are simply what you can functionally accomplish in the game.
Mechanics
1. Elections will occur with regular frequency. If you do not hold a seat of power in the government, you will be considered part of the Opposition. Multiple players can join the same nation vying for political control.
2. Governing is an integral part of the game. Trade Agreements, alliances and even war are all utilized, though do so at your own risk.
3. Policy Making is up to you as the player, feel free to enact, remove or create whatever policies you feel will benefit your nation, so long as you have the votes.

1. Players may select one of the Predefined Nations as outlined that in the above Google Doc. You will automatically be placed into a position as the Party in Power. (First come first serve)
2. You may Create your Own Nation. You may select the Nation Name, Cultural Identity, Geographic Location and the remainder of the stats will be randomized.
3. Some nations have a Dominant Party System where a second political party cannot exist [IE: a North Korea or Venezuela type nation]. [Melizea is one of those nations].

IC Posts
1. IC posts are not required, every IC posts gives a +1 Die Roll Modifier to any one action you take, to be identified at the end of the IC post.
2. Every Turn represents 1 Month in game.
3. Every Turn, if you are the Party in Power you have 3 Actions. If you are the Opposition you have 2 Actions.
4. Political Actions are sent via PM to the GM (Theodorable).
5. Nation set ups are being conducted in the first IC post. Every nation will receive the document detailing their nation stats within the next few days.
Rules
1. Given that a nation's fun may or may not be fun given it's political climate, every 3 years you may choose a Nation to join, if you wish.
