Dij slowly looked from the jabberwocky, and back to Prisom. What the hell was going on here? "...Who?" Dij said at last at the mention of the name. "Okay I'm lost, do you two know each other? Who's this Phazar?"

[Shadow Dragon]

The monsters eyes glow, and it shimmers, turning into a tall, dark man in black armor, his face hidden behind his visor. "I am Phazer. This backstabbing little snake here is my......acquaintance." He draws a large black bone scythe from his back, and whips it around with practiced ease.

[Strong Potato]

"From up here, you two look really look the same. I misjudged you for sisters..."

Herm seems to be able to shake off some of the paralyzation.

"And I don't chew, I swallow whole."

Herm is not having any of it.

Looks at herm confused

[Shadow Dragon]

There's a blur, and Herm feels a single drop of blood trickle down his chest, the monsters scythe easily piercing into his chest, the tip sunk into the chest muscles. "If I were to pull this down, you'd be gutted." Prisom raises his glowing sword. "Phazer, what do you want?" The monster gives no notice of him, and stares down Herm, his black, animalistic eyes boring into Herm's eyes. There is nothing but hunger in those eyes. "Go ahead, muscle man. Make my day. I've fought literal armies and walked back out." The cut on his chest feels really weird, it's so cold it's burning.

[Mogget]

Dij held up both of his hands, he didn't want a fight. "I'm sorry Phazer for what happened you in the past, but Prisom and I mean you no harm, we've just come to pick some magician up."

[Shadow Dragon]

His head slowly turns to face Dij. "No harm? You came here, to my realm, with that man, and you say you mean no harm?" His eyes glow a deep red. "You'll never find that lightning boy if he doesn't want to be found, child. And besides, you'll soon have bigger things to worry about then a runaway traitor." He trails the hilt of his scythe through the ash. "Pyro is coming. He's free, and he's furious. He'll destroy anything that stands in his way." He points the head of his weapon at them. "Including you."

[Mogget]

Dij wiped some swear from a brow, he could never handle tense situations well. "if this Pyro guy burnt down the nation before and was imprisoned, then perhaps he can be imprisoned again."

[Shadow Dragon]

Phazer laughs. "We only managed to stop him because Glowworm here got me to work with him and his master to stop him, by collapsing a 10 ton glacier on his head, and locking him up inside the heart of a mountain. Can you do that, Breezy? You lot couldn't even fight me. Well, maybe Glowworm here could, but I doubt it."

[Mogget]

"Then help us." Dijorno asked, he held out a hand to Phazar. "If it took you, Prisom, and your master to stop him, then why not do it again? Hold your revenge until this Pyro is defeated." Dijorno pleaded to Phazar.

[Shadow Dragon]

"Because his master is your headmaster, and he retired from this kind of life years ago. And there's one other problem. I detest Prisom." Prisom draws his glowing sword. "You tried to-" Phazer roars. "You betrayed me! You, my best, my only friend, betrayed me! Why would I help you after how you hurt me?"

[Mogget]

"Because there is a greater threat!" Dij cried out, "That Pyro guy, the one you imprisoned all this time which took your combined power to do so has escaped! I'm sorry that Prisom betrayed you too, Phazar. But we have to work together in order to stop the nation being burned to ashes."

[Shadow Dragon]

He turns, slowly. "The nation? You think I care about the nation? I am Phazer, the Monster Monarch, the Demon King. I rule over all who are not....your kind. I helped Prisom because he was my friend, but he destroyed my home. He, in a fit of rage, destroyed everything I had worked so hard to create. He scarred me." He turns, showing a horrible, hideous burn scar on his back. "And I have no obligation to help him. I am to protect my subjects." He turns back to face Dij. "I'm sorry, but unless you can find some way to repair a friendship that was broken decades ago, I can't help you. I don't..... won't, trust Prisom, with anything."

[Mogget]

"I see then, I'm sorry for what Prisom has done to you Phazar." Dij replied in a soft voice after Phazar had explained what Prisom had done to him, "please just let us leave then, and I promise you won't have to see Prisom for the rest of your life."

[Shadow Dragon]

Phazer looks at Dij, and removes his scythe from Herm's throat, then walks toward him, raking his talons across the stone, leaving deep, sizzling slashes in the stone. He holds out a hand, and points a claw at Dij. "Tell me. If you were given the choice to die saving your friends, or to abandon them to their fate, which one would you choose?"

Off in the distance, hundreds of miles and three oceans away. Pyro lifts his hands, the marks on his hands glowing, blasting a building with flames. He sits and waits for the flames to grow before reabsorbing the flames, and power, and slowly growing his power once again.

[Mogget]

Phazar pointed his claw at the magician, and Dij decided under the powerful beings attention he would tell the truth. "...I-I don't know." Dij admitted, "I've never had any friends, or bonds like that to speak of. I'm also a coward that's unmistakable, I don't handle tense situations well."

[Shadow Dragon]

"Say right now, I tried to kill your companions. Would you throw yourself in front of my attack to save them?" He turns his head slightly, looking Dij up and down.

[Mogget]

"I don't know, I just met them today." Dij admitted, "I've had no time to build up any relationships with them."

[Shadow Dragon]

"But would you be willing to sacrifice yourself to save others, strangers, even?" He looks Dij in the eyes, his own eyes orbs of shadows.

[Mogget]

Dij looked into Phazar's eyes of darkness, his looked like a nocturnal animal caught in the headlights of a truck. Sweat dotted Dij's brow and he wiped it off. There wasn't a fleck of saliva in his mouth, he opened it and closed it. After much agonising consideration he finally answered, "I might." He squeaked.
