However, she doesn't act like that at all if she is alone with her brother. He is the only one that she knows she can trust. That attitude is clearly visible as she doesn't try to hide it by being fake nice to people. Every little bit of what she says and does is real. The origin of her trust issue has something to do with several things that happened in the past, when she was still a child. Her parents had little money and depended on her to bring in some. When she couldn't give her parents any money to pay for food or other necessary things, she got punished... physically.
At that age, she had two friends: Daisy and Amy. Both of them left her without ever telling her what caused their sudden decision. They left her after telling all of her classmates some lie they came up with, so her reputation would be worse. She didn't know it could get any worse, but it surely did.
She started to turn against people and to depend only on her brother. Nobody has ever been able to convince her otherwise. Even her own family gave the two up and broke all contact. Her aunt said that she was disappointed that London gave up so easily. The older cousin that took her regularly to the cinema said that she was the black sheep of the family. There are many other hurtful things that family members said, too many to write down.
She ended up depressed when her brother started to go to university and had less time to spend with her. She was all alone back then. What happened with her? Her brother cheered her up by making a promise that after university, he would start a company with her. He fulfilled his promise.
Now, they have a company together. Everyone that works there, they have judged themselves. Nobody is going to do that in her place, she doesn't want to give someone else the job. No one is going to do that job as good as her, right? How could she let anybody else do it? Why should she trust anybody if nobody trusts her?
