PARIS

She awoke and ended her nightmare.

For a brief moment the only sound in the little Parisian apartment above the bookstore was the sound of the rain beating against the window and the gasping of Sophie Desmoulins as she groped for the lightswitch. Finally she found it, and as light flooded the small bedroom she caught her reflection in the mirror over the dresser. Her face was bright red, as though to match her hair, and streaked with a wet mixture of tears and sweat.

For the fifteenth night running, she had had the nightmare again. But this time was so much more vivid, so much more real. And rather than seeing the one thing, there were many others, each as large and dangerous as the one she had been seeing.

Sophie got out of bed, staggered into the bathroom to splash a little cold water on her face. She looked longingly at the empty side of the bed, wishing Monica was there to comfort her now. But Monica was long miles away. Sophie had to confront this by herself.

Gradually, her heart slowed, but her racing thoughts did not. The dreams had been so clear. What was going to happen was inevitable, and it was coming soon. In the next few hours, even. Her years of reading about the occult had convinced her of the power of these dreams. She prayed she was wrong. But in her heart Sophie knew great danger was coming.

But what could she do? She was only one woman, the daughter of New Age hippies. No one would take her seriously. Not even her friends took her seriously. Only Monica did.

She had to try, though. To save even a few, she had to do something.

The only clear picture had been of a city a few kilometers north, the rest only vague shapes towering amidst fire and death. Sophie grabbed her address book, frantically flipping through the pages as she tried to find who she knew living in Amiens. A second cousin studying at the university. The woman who had lived next door when she was a child who had moved out there. An old friend from lycée with whom she had not spoken for a decade. Anyone at all.

Biting her lip, she grabbed her phone from the bedside table and dialed numbers, hoping someone would pick up rather than simply ignore it, like most people would do in the middle of the night. As she listened to the rings, she thought about what to say.

“Hello, it's Sophie. Listen carefully, you and everyone you know need to leave Amiens right now. . .”

AMIENS

It awoke and began a nightmare.

It was very late and the old streets of Amiens were lashed with rain. It was a city with a long history, stretching back to the days of Caesar. Most importantly, its proximity to the Somme battlefield made it an important command center during the First World War. And so the punishment began there.

Not even the most beloved son of Amiens, Jules Verne, could have imagined the gaunt 90-meter form that emerged out of the darkness in the rain. The first desperate, panicked 112 calls came from the outer suburbs, where houses and their occupants were crushed by something gigantic. Gas mains broke and caught fire. The suburban roads were soon packed with desperately fleeing civilians in their nightwear, who found their ways blocked by fallen trees and enormous footprints that had caved in the streets. In the distance, silhouetted by the occasional flash of lightning, they could see the thing making its way into the city center. 90 meters tall, shaped like a very thin man. It screamed with a sound like a thousand men yelling in pain and anger.

Buildings crumbled at its touch, the concrete and steel snapping like cheap matchsticks. A single blow from its house-sized fist broke the slender waist of the Tour Perret, the brief holder of the title "France's tallest building" back in the Fifties. The Amiens Cathedral, one of the largest churches in the world, took a little more effort but was soon reduced to a pile of stones growing slick in the rain. It deliberately ignored office buildings, knowing they were empty for the night, and instead struck at houses, apartments, landmarks. Simply brushing against them was enough to cause tremendous damage, sending showers of glass and stone into the streets below and burying the occupants alive.

A few brave gendarmes unloaded pistols and rifles into the monster, but they may as well tried to attack the storm itself. There was little anyone could do but flee. The huge thing seemed to follow civilians, though, wading through buildings in order to cut off large groups and then crush them underfoot or push debris onto them.

By the time the first blue light of dawn tentatively began to shine through the gray clouds overhead, Amiens lay in flames and rubble as the towering figure they had began to call L'Accusatuer finally made its way out of the city and began to walk through the countryside, heading north at a leisurely pace. It left behind thousands of dead, tens of thousands injured. A few people breathed sighs of relief that the horror was over.

It was far from over.

It had only just begun.

Somewhere northeast of Bodö, Norway.
It always seemed to be cold up in these mountains, Krister was sitting beneath a dark old spruce for a well earned pause on his guard duty.
He sighed heavily, his feet cold and sore, two weeks they had been on this exercise, it was getting ridiculous.
Sure the battlegroup was supposed to be competent in most environments, but this was too much. He was reminded of the 'Jägar' company members he had spoken to once or twice and thought of the excursions they went on.
Several weeks at a time, often in blistering winter and the weather always seemed to be unusually poor when they went out. If this was simply exaggeration or coincidence Krister didn't bother with.
But their casual happiness about all the hardships they endured. It was bordering on sadistic.
He couldn't understand how they did it. Marching over snowy mountains for days at a time. No clue.

The weather was simply mildly chilly and Krister was freezing his ass off, he tried to wiggle his ice cold toes and they hurt like a bugger.
He gazed into the darkness, flipped down his night vision goggles and flicked through the two vision modes.
Not a soul out there, he didn't even spot any animals.
They were smart and didn't muck about war training, since they were, well, smart. He envied the cozy warm den of a bunny all bunched up warm and snug when a branch next to him was moved out of the way.

Stifling a near minor heart attack, Krister noticed a guy from his unit had entered the foliage.
-"Slacking off at your job again?" Jonas said in Swedish, he didn't let Krister respond before adding.
-"You know if Ågren learns of this, he'd be crazy and punish you with latrine duty for a week." He grinned broadly as Krister calmed down.
-"Sod of to hell Jonas, you can't extort me..." Krister butted in, Jonas knew full well that he was already on latrine duty for today and the next. Jonas just shuckled a bit until Krister realised he was taking a piss on the tree he was sitting at.
-"WHAT THE DEVIL!!!! Go to hell idiot!" Krister blurted out jumping up as Jonas was literally taking a piss at him. Well not on him luckily.
-"Oh, and i'm exchanging you, you've overstayed your pass, so mine's shorter." Jonas sounded awfully cheery and even sounded grateful for a second, before mocking him of course.
-"Hope you slip and die, dumb devil!" Krister gave jonas the finger as he trotted off, Jonas shuckling as he left, luckily it was all banter and they knew each other well, but at times Krister wanted to smack the gleeful idiot in the face.

He walked towards the base, a few tents hidden next to a small metre or so tall cliff face, their squad stationed here to recon the norwegians who were acting as 'the enemy' in this scenario.
Truth is they were fairly sure the norwegians where several kilometers north and doing recon on their main base, but command had told his squad to cover this approach from flanking maneuvers.
While they were good and knew the area more, they weren't some sort of spec-ops with infra-red stopping uniforms or some shit, so Krister was sure they hadn't snuck up on him during his pass.

He reached his tent, entered and didn't even bother with taking off his vest, he was too tired.
Opening a small bag of stuff, he took out a pair of small bags with white stuff in them and pushed the clicker in each, before wrapping them and his feet in a blanket.
He didn't recall their name but they soon began to let off a strong warmth which helped him relax. He decided there and then to shoot Jonas in the ass the next time they trained with those special soft air guns. Serves him right.

It didn't take long before he dozed off. Dreaming of a hot shower.

Singapore, Malyasia

Nobody was ready for this.

At 7:14 AM, TERRA officials detected a sequence of abnormal volcanic activity coming from within the massive volcano of Krakatoa. It had been rather quiet over the past two months, with only one small strombolian eruption happening back on October, 15th. Such events were not unnecessarily uncommon and most of these didn't produce much of an alarm towards the local weather channels. However, they had no idea of what actually lurked within the trembling active volcano.

No one but TERRA.

And even then, the event happened so suddenly and with very little warning. When the volcano began to produce minor explosions and earthquakes, TERRA initiatives were quick to investigate this phenomenon. However, only a few minutes in and several massive explosions rocked the entire volcano, producing a deafening boom that could be heard for miles on end. The islands of Sumatra and Java were amongst the ones which felt the brunt of the sonic boom. But what followed next would forever change how humanity is seen across the world.

Followed by the explosion, a massive low-pitched scream emanated from the mouth of Krakatoa. Many would first believe for it to have come from some artificial source - perhaps coming from a robot or speaker - but what crawled out of the volcano would say otherwise. Two massive wings peered from the black smoke, followed by a massive beak piercing through to greet the outside. With only a single flap of its wings, the titan of the skies would finally reveal himself to the world for the first time in several millennia.

The Crimson Devil - Apollyon - has finally taken flight once more.

As code-red alarms blared rapidly within TERRA's headquarters, the ancient titan took to the skies as it would make it's way northwards towards Singapore. By the time it was detected several miles away, it was already too late for the ill-prepared city. As he approached the city, Apollyon was flying low to the ground - almost as if he was merely skipping across it - and his sheer size and speed was enough to rip through the metropolis alone. The intense wind force erupted every building from their foundations and flung large debris and even people from the ground. Wherever he flew, he would bring ruin to those below him. It was simply sheer chaos that erupted through Singapore.

And so raised another Titan on a day that would go down in infamy...

Liberty Island

Donald clacked away at his computer as he bobbed his head to his music streaming from his earbuds. The day had been mostly relaxing save for some spilt coolant and a birthday. The day was just more business as usual with everyone settling into their routines.

That was until all hell broke loose.

Suddenly everyone was rushing and panicking despite preparing for the last six years for a day like this. Sure most of the faculty assumed the threat would be another country launching an attack in the form of missiles, an armada or even a giant robot of their own but they were fairly certain the appearance if monsters was perfect timing to release their own man made monster. Donald was currently rushing down to central control to help with the final start up procedures and get the Kaiju Fighting Machine online and operational.

"Don't start the show without me!" Donald said as he rushed into central control and took a seat at one of the computer terminals and began looking over the status of the various systems starting up in the main event herself.

Chet Charles, the current head of the project, turned around from standing in front of the giant monitor to address Donald. "Eggman! Do a final systems check. We don't know if or when another one of these things is going to spring up or where. We've got to be sure everything's worki-" Charles was cut off by the facility beginning to shake violently.

"Done and done Charles" Donald replied with a massive grin.

Citizens of New York watched in horror on their televisions as they saw the massive beasts begin to wreak havoc on their planet Earth. It was the dawn of a new era, one of fear of insurmountable opponents and beasts only seen in nightmares. Suddenly people began to scream as tremors shook the ground and the air was filled with the sound of squealing machinery and shifting metal.

To the shock and awe of everyone who could see it, the Statue of Liberty herself began to take a step off her podium and into the water just in front of her.

"Lady Liberty's up and kickin'" Eggman said with a grin as he watched the events from Liberty Island's base.

The massive mechanical beacon of hope began to test out all of it's joints and functions in anticipation for the many fights ahead of it in it's career of Kaiju fighting.

If any keen-eared folks were stationed at the station, they could hear an echoing cry mix with the howling of the winter storm. Yet it wouldn't be a sound like they've ever heard before - as if a gurgling motor was combined with the terrifying screech of a banzai. And if they looked closely on the far-side of the mountains, blue lights can be sen flickering in the distance.

The large, slender black shape - belonging to Neurotis - finally came into view as its cloaking shield finally wore off. Her maw was drooling with venomous spit as hunched over a large cliff-side overlooking the quiet town of Bodö. She hadn't eaten for a good three days - having been forced to move westward by the sudden rise of rival titans in the area. For a time, the Siberian tundra had tended to her every needs. Once she was able to escape the containment facility that kept her in for so long all those decades ago, she was finally free to disappear deep into the northern forests. And despite the cold, it had all the food and space that she desired. Rarely had she ever left the country, only going south towards Kazakhstan or Mongolia to feed on herds of goats or chase away other rivals.

But recently, the titans Neurotis encountered were stronger than usual. Even despite her best efforts, she couldn't compete significantly against their brute strength. Even her venom was unable to penetrate through their extremely tough armor and skin - in fact one of them wasn't even made out of flesh, it was of rocks. Now forced out of her territory, Neurotis had to move westwards for greater pastures. The city of Moscow would've been her first stomping grounds, until a larger titan spooked her once again - forcing her to move further westward into Europe. Now she's here - the very tip of the land available to her - with an empty stomach.

This city would do nicely to help her find some nourishment.

TERRA LOG: CODE RED

At precisely 1:23 PM CET, TERRA officials were suddenly warned about an attack taking place in Bodö, Norway. Data captured on the ground had confirmed the attacker to be none other than the elusive SP-1989b - codenamed "Neurotis" - who hadn't been seen or detected since the "Breakout of 1991". Officials declared the specimen as MIA by 1992 - but it's clear that she had survived for 27 years undetected.

According to data logs, Neurotis was first detected just a hundred meters before it entered the city. This was unusual, as scanners would've detected it at least several miles away prior to landing. Something about her morphology allowed her to remain undetected for so long before finally revealing herself. Senior Scientists - who had observed her during her containment - speculated about her ability to cloak - given how her skin was able to change pigments and bounce back radio waves. They've also discovered that her large spines might've also had a factor in disabling on-site trackers via a special EMP discharge.

If this is confirmed, she could arguably be one of the most deadly titans to ever walk our technological society.

PARIS
EIGHT HOURS AFTER FIRST KAIJU ATTACK (K-HOUR +8)

“Well, that's certainly not something you see every day,” Sophie muttered to herself as she watched the now viral video of the famed Statue of Liberty stepping down from her pedestal. Of course, it was far from the only strange video that was setting the internet aflame. The huge creature that broke every window and stripped the shingles from every roof in Singapore simply by flying overhead. The 250-foot long snake currently spraying corrosive venom over downtown Kampala that the press was calling Sesota after an old Ugandan folk tale. Despite efforts by the Chilean government to suppress it, footage of the twisted and only vaguely humanoid creature known as Patagon stumbling around the Atacama Desert was also beginning to emerge. And there was unconfirmed rumors coming in from all over the world, including one in Norway that was looking more and more credible. All of these, she was beginning to realize, were the same creatures that had haunted her nightmares for the past few weeks.

She only half paid attention, though. She was focused more on what she could produce. Agence France-Presse was streaming live and continous coverage of The Accuser's progress northwards, as as she learned details it was becoming clear that her nightmares had predicted the creature's exact trajectory. And so she struggled to remember as much as she could of what was going to happen, frantically making phone calls and posting warnings on social media, hoping they would be seen and heeded, hoping that they would save even one life. Sophie felt powerless to do any more than that. She wished Monica was here, Monica would know what to do.

She glanced at the streaming coverage. The French military was on full alert, of course, and according to the sweating uniformed man being interviewed, they were preparing to evacuate and defend the city of Lille just in case L'Accusatuer stumbled into it by accident.

“It's going to Lille,” she muttered as she hunched over her laptop, typing more messages on Twitter, Facebook, WhatsApp, any platform that might reach someone in Lille. She had long been in the habit of talking to herself when stressed. “It won't be an accident. It knows damn well what it's doing.”

Sophie heard another sound byte from the coverage. The armies of neighboring countries were mobilizing as well, out of fear of the Accuser, including Switzerland and the Netherlands. “No, no, no,” she said, shaking her head. “The Dutch and the Swiss don't need to worry! They stayed out of it. It will destroy France and Belgium, then start in on Germany, Italy, Austria, Russia, Turkey, Bulgaria, so many other European states. It will swim to the UK, then cross the ocean and go after the US and Canada, or maybe go the other way and go destroy Japan, Thailand, Australia. But it won't touch the Swiss or the Dutch or the Spanish!”

“And how exactly can you be sure, miss?” a quiet voice asked from the door of the bookshop. Sophie spun around to see two men in the doorway, brushing rain from their conservative suits. They were nondescript, everything from their clothes to their haircuts designed to blend in. They had the look of government agents.

“I'm sorry, I didn't hear you come in,” she said lamely.

“That's alright. How is it you know these things?”

Sophie shrugged. She had never been afraid of saying things others might find odd. “It came from the Somme. It has come to punish us for sending so many to die there a century ago. But it won't bother the people who didn't fight in the war. It has nothing against them.”

The man shot his partner a look, then turned back to Sophie. “Fascinating,” he said dryly. “The fact of the matter, Miss Desmoulins-”

“Mrs.”

“I'm sorry?”

“Mrs. I'm married,” she said, holding up her hand so he could see the ring.

“Ah. Is your husband at home?”

Sophie scowled at the man. “My wife is away in England.”

He briefly looked sheepish, adjusting his tie and clearing his throat before continuing. “Well, Mrs. Desmoulins, it has been brought to our attention that you have made a great number of predictions as to the movements of The Accuser. All of them have turned out to be completely accurate, even the ones posted beforehand or without publicly released information. We would like you to come somewhere safe with us. We think we might be able to use your help.”

Sophie gaped. “Seriously?”

“Yes. Gather up anything you might need, we have a car waiting outside.”

She shut her laptop without hesitation and slipped it into a bag, began searching her shelves for any occult books or reference materials she thought she might need. She had a second thought, though, and turned back to the men suspiciously. “I'll need to see some papers, ID, something.”

“Of course,” he agreed. The two men pulled out official looking documents, walked towards her with them outstretched.

“Who are you with?” she asked as she reached out for the documents. “The Armed Forces Ministry? DGSI? Civil Defense?”

“No,” the man replied. “We represent a group called TERRA.”

LILLE
K-HOUR +8
ALERT CONDITION: RED

France's fourth largest city was in chaos.

The evacuation was going with some semblance of order at first. The southern section of the city, most likely the first to be attacked, was emptied out first. Trains, buses, and trucks were loaded up with those who didn't have their own transport. Meanwhile, soldiers, firefighters, and volunteers went door to door trying to find the ill, elderly, or stubborn that had not evacuated. And at the Palais des Beaux-Arts de Lille, one of the largest museums in France, a different evacuation took place as soldiers carefully loaded trucks with priceless works by Donatello, Rembrandt, Rodin, Goya, Monet, and other artists.

However, it was only as the Army began to set up their defensive positions that the reality seemed to take hold of the good people of Lille. Leclerc tanks and Caesar self-propelled howitzers set up a cordon on the A25 roadway on the southern side of the city. Meanwhile, in the city itself, infantry set up machine guns, mortars, and antitank rockets on rooftops. Sagaie armored vehicles loaded their cannons in the streets below as engineers carefully set explosives on large fuel tankers parked in strategic locations as booby traps. Tigre attack helicopters loaded ordinance and flew overhead in formation.

Some Lillois balked at the firepower, worried it would do more damage than L'Accusatuer, and stayed behind to protect their homes in spite of all warnings. For others, it became clear how serious their situation really was. Fights and violence broke out on evacuation routes, holding up the process. The opportunistic broke into homes and stores looking for valuables, while the desperate did the same looking for supplies. Police and soldiers clashed with them in the streets even as they were trying to prepare for the real battle.

By the time The Accuser's long, spindly legs carried it within the low buildings of empty southern Lille, there were still plenty of civilians trapped or unwilling to leave in Euralille, Hellemmes, Mons-en-Baroeul, and other northern neighborhoods.

The artillery along the A25 was the first to open fire, followed shortly afterwards by the deafening roar of tank fire and the hiss of HOT missiles. The soldiers were briefed to aim for the head and legs of the monster, hoping to knock down or disable it. Very few rounds were off target, and the radio net was briefly filled with excited chatter as pieces of mud and twisted metal were seen to fly off the Accuser's body with repeated impacts. It screamed, that sound of thousands of men yelling, in what they assumed to be pain. Confidence surged among the defenders of Lille.

It quickly waned, however, as the Accuser continued walking through the heavy bombardment without breaking pace. The divots and gouges that had been torn into the Accuser's head and legs were seen to close and reform, scabbing over with fresh dirt, wrecks of autombiles, and chunks of masonry.

In a few quick leaps, the slender but towering monster was soon standing only a few hundred meters from the A25, absorbing the steady stream of fire. The huge gaping mouth opened, showing the huge teeth made from long-forgotten tombstones and rusted hunks of metal. That horrible scream echoed over Lille, and a long rolling stream of thick yellow smoke erupted from its mouth, covering the tanks and artillery around it.

A good number of the tankers, to their credit, remembered their training and immediately began NBC protocols- the procedures designed to seal the vehicle against chemical warfare. Others, caught in the excitement of the moment, did not move quickly enough. They were the ones who went blind, who choked on the massive blisters rising on their skin and inside their lungs.

The guns fell silent as The Accuser contemptuously kicked aside several Leclerc tanks and other self-propelled guns, crushing the soldiers inside. Others nearby hastily threw their vehicles in reverse and cleared a path.

The Accuser walked into Lille, swinging its massive fists at buildings. However, it jerked as the fire from the tanks and artillery began anew, though somewhat lessened. The troops stationed within the city said quick prayers, checked their weapons, received their orders.

The Battle of Lille was far from over.

(<<<< I'm gonna need a proper time-stamp on this one, some time or so after Neurotis arrives <<<<)
Jonas ran to the tent with his sleeping commander, Corporal Ågren jumped up at being awoken all the ready to reprimand him when Jonas presented a hastily scribbled report, cprl Ågren immediately went on the radio, after a few brief confirmations the camp was abuzz with activity, air-horns were blown and Jonas took some delight in releasing a long wailing blow inside Krister's tent.

Krister shot up like a rubberband, all the ready to strangle Jonas when his target informed him.
-"Trainings over, we're moving into Bodö, some sort of monster is attacking." Jonas was unusually serious so Krister simply nodded and was in complete soldier mode. Petty revenge could easily wait when people were in danger.
With speed, the group packed the tents and a BV 206 came and picked them up and drove them towards the city of Bodö.

The bumpy ride in the darkness got spooky quickly when odd wails echoed over the mountaintops, and through the small windows one could see something akin to blue northern lights flicker over Bodö.
-"What the hell is going on?" Jonas gasped as he tried to get a feeling of the situation. The rest of the platoon was already on the road in front of them and Kristers group fluidly converged with them.
Cprl Ågren was constantly on the radio talking, but mostly listening. With the odd wails in the distance one could hear the sounds of battle on the radio, it wasn't loud, like when one can overhear a person on another ones phone, but everyone knew but pretended they didn't hear the chilling sounds.

Iceland
K-hour +8.2

It could first be seen from the coast hovering towards the mainland, freezing the water beneath it, resembling a shining steel mechanical skeleton of a humanoid with a single shining blue eye, a maw that seems constantly open and its resting position seems to be a sort of messias stance with its arms outstretched down on its sides showing its palms.
Instead of legs it has a disk that is made from wheels within wheels which constantly revolve and move with mechanical motion. Ice-cold blue mist forms beneath it partially hiding its form. Looking like a massive idol of religion. Perverted to be some sort of strange machine god.

Kaiju were no secret the first time this emerged. Frantic messages and news had reached all over when it was first seen and the Icelandic government sent in all its jets.
With an odd pose, resembling prayer followed by a circular motion of the arms and hands, it formed a barely visible force screen for the first time. The missiles harmlessly detonated upon the forcefield and the jets began to retreat.
The beast however had other plans, with a outstretched right palm, it boomed a robotic white noise and in its rotating discs, a hundred doors opened and from them emerged the Cyclopii. One hundred of them, one from each door.
Resembling 10 metre tall steel angels, they lack the disc of its creator featuring 2 or 4 legs, on their backs are fluttering wings resembling a mix between butterfly and feather wings made from steel. Holding weapons in their hands, often polearms but at times other close combat implements, they move with odd agility and graze. Featuring the same gaping maw of Cyclopean, able to shoot energy beams from it and their weapons.
They flew into a mechanically perfect formation, before fanning out towards the entire coast. Some hounded the jets, dogfighting with almost the same speed, but with much more agility.
Every jet was cut with either strange polearms or energy beams.
The ground forces never had time to mobilize, the scattered resistance did destroy many Cyclopii, but Cyclopean paid it no heed and pressed on.

Closing in on Skagaströnd first, the populace could see Cyclopean emerge from the waterline, it moved its head in what seemed like curious wonderment before powering up its maw beam.
The beam slammed into the pier, a constant blue-white continuous lance that Cyclopean moved over the bay area, into the small industrial zone and over the town.
Wherever the beam touched, buildings were destroyed, vehicles annihilated and a 2 metre deep glassed trench was left behind the passing of this titanic force.
Skagaströnd didn't stand a chance, as Cyclopii reinforced their master they made short work of the homesteads.

It moved towards Reykjavik the Cyclopii flying all over Iceland scouring the land for civilisation, before they all converged in unison and perfect positioning around the city.
The assault began.

The Crimson Devil's run on Malayasia had been a devastating one. It was as if a living hurricane swept through the ill-prepared city and displaced thousands within its wake. Total cost in damages had already been estimated to be in the hundreds of millions in the Singapore dollar and the death toll has also risen over several hundred. And yet, the flying titan was not finished.

Not by a long shot.

Satalites had tracked Apollyon flying west towards the Pacific Ocean. Many expected for it to return to its volcanic home where it could rest and hopefully return to its thousand year slumber, yet it instead moved westwards over the Pacific Ocean. It would fly for thousands of miles before being last scene by local fisherman and cruiser boat tourists off the shores of the Hawaiian islands. Thankfully, while the creature did fly extremely close to Honolulu's coast, it ultimately spared the islands of its utter destruction. Yet it would continue flying westwards, hitting through Mexico and traveling over the country into the Gulf of Mexico.

Apollyon's next target would be Tampa, Florida, where immediate evacuation was already underway. There, its course would change northwards, just barely missing the heart of Orlando, Florida, where it made its way towards the east coast. Luckily for the eastern cities, the titan would be seen just several miles off the coastline, where social media exploded over terrified beachfolk filming it flyby their coast. It would continue to skim the coast for another hour - swooping down to consume the local whale population - before reaching New York, where its course would shift directly towards Manhattan Island.

TERRA initiatives also detect an unidentified mecha in the form of the Statue of Liberty. And judging by Apollyon's course, it's on a dead collision course with it.

From the shores of Manhattan, a terrified populous, already consumed by the sudden appearance of a moving Lady Liberty, would be witness to a booming call that rattled through the urban jungle. As they look towards the shore, they can see a large flying, red-mass fast approaching the coast. Apollyon had finally made land-fall, after an hour skimming the east coast, and it was ready to rest. Yet as it got closer to shore, it could see a large mechanical object moving in the distance. Was it another kaiju? What was it doing here?

Suddenly it could feel several explosions pelting his hide, which he barely felt anything. Several jet fighters were attempting to engage the massive titan, but their attempts in pelting it with missiles would be rendered utterly futile. The massive pterosaur would issue another booming call before engaging in a barrel roll, as its massive wings would completely demolish the tiny jet fighters who dared engage its glorious majesty. Now its blood-shot eyes were set directly at the mechanical object...

And it was already moving into attack speed.

Neurotis' assault on Bodö was a complete disaster to the home front. Even with the military prowess of the local militia, as well as units from the nearby military training facilities, they did very little to deter the Titan of Chaos. It wrecked the tiny town with ease and eliminated all military competition with a sudden EMP blast, as well as the entire town itself. Indeed it confirmed the theory of its ability to knock down all electrical equipment. It was an easy win for the titan. Local satellite connection was still able to take clear shots of its rampage, with some online footage being spread around social media. Rumors even speculated that Neurotis was even eating the local populous, scooping them up in her long crocodile-like snout, or impaling them with her long claws. It was a gruesome sight to behold, yet surprisingly a short one.

Within as short as 15 minutes, Neurotis was finished. However, all communication and tracking data would be lost as soon as it entered the Norwegian Sea. For a few long hours, no sign of her could be detected. Many claimed it must've died somehow, but most of the majority thought otherwise. For they didn't detected her presence until just as she entered Bodö. Prior to that, there was no data on her travels since 1991.

And then, just minutes after Cyclopean made landfall on the northside through Skagaströnd, Neurotis was finally sighted emerging onto Neskaupstadur - 300 miles to the west.

And both were headed to the heart of Iceland... Both were headed to Reykjavik.

A howling cry from the west signaled Neurotis' arrival as she made her way through her new stomping grounds. Having crossed the entirety of the chilly island - through the luscious landscape of Vatnajökull National Park and the municipality of Skeiða- og Gnúpverjahreppur - she finally found herself a place where she can finally call home. As far as she knew, there were no rivals around her general location to disturb her. It was an eventless trip which took her just over an hour and a half to traverse - one which she found to be rather peaceful.

Again, Neurotis initiated a violent EMP through mere instincts as soon as the first military defenses took up arms against her. Most of the vehicle units would be completely shot, as well as the surrounding district in which she came. She continues to prowl through the city in search of food - gobbling up any human beings she can find. She was enjoying herself here...

Yet she wouldn't be alone for long as she rears on her hind legs to see another rival about to engage the city.

Lille, France - Fort de mons
Mentions: @Polyphemus

As the invader stepped into the boarders of Lillie, the strong hold of "Fort de mons" began to glow a blood-red hue within her sturdy walls. The environment around it began to slowly turn pale - ranging from the very foundations to the faint trees themselves - and the leaves turned crimson-red, as if stained with the blood of the enemy. Those by the fort would begin to hear a faint song of chanting - a war-cry slowly bellowing from the depths of this very stronghold. The glow began to intensify hence more - the song began to grow ever prominent - and raising from its wall, a pale figure slowly emerges from the depths. Its blood-tipped spines pierced through the skies, groaning quietly as the rest of its cruel body surfaced. Smoke and fog bellowed from where he stood, covering the nearby district with its scent.

Yet for the citizens of Lillie, it seems to issue no peril to humanity.

For what rose out of the fort was a savior of man - his holy presence gracing the city with its inspiring awe of divinity. And it couldn't have been another day too soon. War had finally come to this realm. And to mark the beginning of this new era, he, Gadreel, chants his bellowing war-cry, as he officially declares war on the sinful abominations who dare set their clawed-feet onto holy grounds of Terra. His brothers and sisters will come in due time - but before their arrival, he will partake in the highest of honors to claim the first blood against these vile monsters in this glorious crusade.

And as he looks behind him, he bears towards his first victim out in the distance. His left foot flies over the fort's walls and onto the solid pavement as the pale Angel of War proceeds to engage this newfound threat.

Bodö
Neurotis assault

They could see the city now, fire streaked some of the buildings and power had been lost in several parts of it, now they just needed...
And then they noticed, it was not obvious at first but the blue shimmering back-sprouts betrayed its presence, it was a monster.
As it reared on its hind legs it seemed to be powering something up, following was a shockwave of sorts, which killed all power in the city. EMP.
The shockwave even hit his convoy, everything went dark and the NV goggles they had made a sad dying sound before giving up.

But the BV 206's kept going, a more analog vehicle was hard to find and while the lights were out it showed little in terms of being affected.
The radio was gone however, and the fancier vehicles in the convoy had to be abandoned.
After a quick stop picking up a bunch of the others and packing them in the BV's the remaining convoy sped up to get to Bodö as quickly as possible.

The streets were chaos, people running for their lives, fires all over, firemen and police desperately trying to help with what they could. Kristers BV stopped and disembarked its cargo before beginning to gather up a bunch of civilians to get them out of there.
Cpt Janson approached some police and asked for a report.
-"The thing has fried all electronics, most cars are dead and we're having a hard time evacuating people." He panted in broken english, knowing the battlegroup members came from all over.
-"Right, our BV's have survived the EMP and are at your disposal, let's get these people out of here!" The two nodded at each other and immediately went to work.
The extra manpower was sorely needed and the battlegroup set up lines, barricades and directions to the evacuation zones. Kristers unit were tasked with guiding people a bit into town, Ågren positioning them in a human wall so as to easily guide the fleeing people.

But only minutes after setting up, a mass of fleeing people came their way, just as they began to brace for impact, they noticed why they were running.
They were being chased by Neurotis, which scooped up groups of people with its mouth as it effortlessly followed them along.
Krister knew where this was going, he was already moving when Ågren roared.
-"OPEN FIRE ON IT!!! Spread out!"
He slammed his HMG down on a car, cocked it and opened fire. The heavy rifle spewing out heavy calibre bullets, kicking like crazy and with the sound of a thunderstorm. People visibly recoiled from the gun but quickly returned to fleeing from their predator.
The rest of the group opened fire, Ågren producing a flare pistol which he fired towards the monsters head as it closed in to help with vision.
Neurotis being visibly upset by these annoyances in her meal, made a sound more akin to displeasure than pain and moved up.
-"Get the people out of here! COVER THEM!!! Begin breakoff!" Ågrens words were barely audible over the clamour, soldiers popped off a few rounds before breaking off, trying to guide the mass of people, but in practicality joining in in the stampede. One got a bright idea and popped a flare torch and held it tall, in an attempt to guide the mass. Several other soldiers joined in.
Jonas was one of the last to break off, Krister just having reloaded began to fire anew.
-"Let's go!" Ågren shouted while smacking Kristers left shoulder, finally getting the response he wanted. They began to fall back but Neurotis was upon them.
Her foot tore through a few buildings and sent a silver compact suv flying towards them. It slammed into a building and bumped Ågren hard who was tossed to the ground by the force.
Thinking fast, Krister stopped and tossed him over his shoulders and ran into an alley, in the nick of time as Neurotis foot set down and crushed the suv behind them.

With a jump, Neurotis skipped a block and gave chase once more to the frantic people.
But soon after, it seemed like it was done. If it got tired, scared or bored no one knew, but with a few graceful trots and a leap it disappeared into the ocean.

No one could believe it, a monster, a kaiju. In Bodö.
Soon after the battlegroup was reorganized, few casualties, only one dead. Sadly the same could not be said about the civilian population.
They worked day and night to evacuate the city, which would take some time. But the worst was over for now....

Reykjavic
K-hour 8.3

It knew where each of its minions were, whatever action they were taking. So when 8 were hit and three of them were taken out simultaneously by an EMP burst that confounded it.
But that didn't matter, this settlement was now in sight, without effort three new Cyclopii were born from its disc and joined in the formation around the enemy.
The formation was set, the assault would now begin.

It was here Cyclopean spotted the other Kaiju, a dinosaur looking thing on its hind legs staring right at Cyclopean.
With a few hand gestures, similar to eastern martial arts, palms held open and flat Cyclopean let out a wail of white noise heralding the attack of its Cyclopii. Pointing at her with an outstretched palm.
Blazing up with blue lights, the perfect circle of 100 dived down and flew right towards Neurotis, in perfect unison they unleashed bright blue energy beams which slammed into the monster from every direction, hurting its skin but little more.
Neurotis wailed as it was bombarded from all sides. The Cyclopii broke off in a unified but complex pattern, with about half closing in further and engaged with polearms.
With hit and run, the minions hacked at Neurotis, making small gashes here and there, one got a clean hit on one of the barbs on her sail, which was cut deeply and was now slightly bent.
Rearing from the pain, she jumped back and crushed a city block. Her tail sweeping through several other buildings as the sail caught several Cyclopii off guard as they crashed right into it, sending burning debris falling around her.

The orange flames highlighting her jet black skeletal form.
With a flourish of hand movements, Cyclopean resumed its resting pose with hands outstretched and began to close in, the buildings it passed over freezing in an instant.
Its eye transfixed upon Neurotis.

Lady Liberty

@Klomster

Lady Liberty had barely gotten her sea legs before reports of a Kaiju heading their way came in. Eggman was in a flurry of nerves as everyone began losing their minds again.

"We've barely had any time to test Liberty! We're not even sure if half of her systems will work in the water!" Eggman exclaimed to his colleagues even though he knew there was nothing they could do if they the Kaiju showed up.

"She's going to need to be ready or else we're not going to be alive long enough to care." Chet explained matter of factly. The employees got quiet after Chets words but were sent back into a flurry of motion as alarms began to go off confirming their fears; one of those things was here.

Lady Liberty stood waiting for the gargantuan creature of the Earth. She had been standing, analyzing the data fed to her by the crew back at Liberty Island. Without enough time to go over everything, Lady Liberty came to the conclusion that heat wouldn't do much to help her out in the fight.

The creature was now in view and traveling straight at her with devilish eyes locked right on her. Without much of a choice in the matter, the Statue took off running towards the flying beast with her torch in hand. As the two titans got closer, Lady Liberty spun her torch around and fired the thruster in order to aid her jump into the air, flying over the beast while she attempted to grab the monster's beak with her free hand and reef it's aim away from the city.

LILLE
K-HOUR +9

Interacting with @Lmpkio

The Accuser tilted its head quizzically at the challenger who rose from the remains of the Lille Citadel. If there had been eyes in the empty pits of its skull-like face they hight have registered surprise.

Indeed, all through Lille, a sudden silence descended. The roar of cannons, rattle of machine-gun fire, and crash of shells suddenly stopped as the French troops stared at the newcomer in surprise and wonder. Instinctively, they knew from looking at Gadreel not to fire. Even the radio net fell silent for a few brief seconds as the two giants stared one another down, and the only sounds were those of the city dying- the roar of flames, the rattle of dying wounded, the crash of falling buildings.

The Accuser was first to recover from its stupor, suddenly raising its arms with palms out. Suddenly, long snaking lengths of barbed wire shot out, whipping about like living things. The thick lengths, thicker than tree trunks wrapped around Gadreel's legs and tightened, the huge metal barbs digging in. The Accuser continued its assault, opening wide its gigantic mouth and emitting another plume of yellow-covered mustard gas, aimed directly at Gadreel's face.

As the two titans began their battle, the very earth shaking at the force of blows, the hundreds of soldiers still in Lille began receiving orders, directly from the Chiefs of Staff, Cabinet, and President in their bunker beneath the Élysée Palace.

Cease fire.

Operational authority is being ceded from the Army to the Air Force.

Immediately withdraw along the shortest route to at least ten kilometers from the Lille city center. Take any civilians you encounter but do not stop to look for them.

And then the last terrible sentence of that order, the one that made jaws drop and eyes go wide.

“The use of nuclear weapons has been authorized.”

KILJU, NORTH KOREA

When the attacks began, most heads of state had quietly removed themselves to bunkers, military bases, or other secure locations- none of them wanted to follow the example of the President of Uganda, now confirmed to be yet another casualty of Sesota's rampage through Kampala.

When the Beloved Leader insisted on being flown to this remote rural area, site of several important military bases and the country's nuclear program, his staff had assumed he was following suit. An uncharacteristically sensible move, with giant monsters rampaging across the world and three battles occurring between the kaiju. But the Beloved Leader did not appear afraid or worried, his staff noted with worry. Rather he seemed angry. Determined. Even pleased, at times, which went right back to angry at any time the streaming news feed on his tablet (one of the only uncensored Internet feeds in the entire country) showed footage of the newly ambulatory Statue of Liberty.

His staff grew even more concerned at the orders they were told to radio ahead to their destination, one of the secretive bases in the area. Rather than have the garrison gear up and prepare for defense, the Beloved Leader wanted them all in full dress uniform and prepared to hear a speech from the Beloved Leader. Instead of preparing living quarters and crisis meeting rooms in the tunnels beneath the base, they were to prepare a flight suit in the (quite large) size of the Beloved Leader. And of course the references to Project Chollima. Even the personal entourage of the Beloved Leader, privy to the darkest secrets of the land, had never heard of such a project.

Finally, their curiosity had gotten the better of them. Several whispered arguments and drawn straws later, one of the staffers directly asked the Beloved Leader in a quaking voice what exactly was planned.

The Beloved Leader smiled tolerantly, giving the staffer hope that perhaps he would not be imprisoned for the heinous crime of asking a question. Looking over his glasses in a fatherly way, the Beloved Leader replied, “Simple. The full scientific might of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea will be applied to the benevolent purpose of saving the world from the plague of giant monsters.”

He beamed with pride. “And I, of course, will be the instrument of their salvation.”

Apollyon continued to hastily approach the oncoming opponent as it made itself more aerodynamic to enhance his speed - like a hawk diving towards its prey. It quickly noticed how its opponent was also running towards it, already establishing itself as a threat. Yet before the pterosaur would be in range to jab the metallic foe with its massive beak, the mech suddenly jumped into the air as it held a cone-shaped object in its hand. The mech flew over Apollyon, effectively leaping onto it as it grasped onto the horn stretching from its crimson beak.

Taken completely off guard by this maneuver, Apollyon changed course as it steered a sharp left, just before making landfall with Manhattan. Spectators would initially look up in terrified awe before fleeing as the city ordered everyone to evacuate shortly after. The pterosaur meanwhile began to commence back into its barrel roll formation, trying to shake the opponent off it. If that failed, it would issue an incredibly loud sonic roar from its maw, vibrating through the mech's metal frame as well as any nearby buildings.

Once the mech was off of it, Apollyon would circle around and fire off its next weapon towards the mech - an incredibly hot Heat Breath

Neurotis continued to press forward into the heart of Reykjavik, spreading her destruction and carnage through the city, until it reared up on her hind legs to note another figure coming towards her. She spotted another bipedal figure, a metallic figure with a giant blue eye and a hanging maw. The thing seemed way too bizarre to be anything she saw prior, especially how it was moving on wheels. This was unknown to her. And for all things she didn't know, she considered them as a threat before proven otherwise. The spinosaurid issued an echoing hiss as she extended her clawed hands as a signal for it to back off.

Its response, meanwhile, gave no indication of retreating, as after issuing several hand gestures Neurotis would be overwhelmed by the sound of overwhelming static white noise.

She issued a painful screech as her head recoiled downwards to rid herself of this painful sensation. She was not a big fan of loud noises, as they compromised with her abilities. Yet she would soon find herself bombarded by a burning sensation - wailing loudly as a volley of blue beams began to hack into her skin. This would be followed by several other smaller minions attempting to hack into her skin, forcing her to rear up as she smashed a city block with her form with flaming debris falling around her. She would be able to eliminate a chunk of this minor rabble as her tail crashed into some, with her clawed feet taking out a few others.

Overwhelmed by this furious pain, Neurotis instinctually issued another EMP blast in order to hopefully knock out any of the beasts nearby. Yet this EMP was a bit stronger than the previous, and while it may not do too much to organic opponents, it still was able to grant electrical shocks to smaller opponents. Using this distraction, the titan was able to scurry behind a few large skyscrapers and cloaks into the background. She can always run away from stronger threats, yet this time she's done with running. If a fight is what this rival monster wants, then so be it. But in order to initiate a counter attack successfully, she must lay in wait in order to figure out the best place to hit it off-guard.

She'd circle the monster's position, silently trodding around as she attempts to focus on the creature's blind spot. If she can initiate this attack successfully, she might be able to cause serious damage in the long run. So once in position behind the opponent - already very close to it by a hundred or so meters - she uncloaks as she attempts to leap at him, with her mouth stretching out to reveal a long-barbed tongue. If it hits its mark, it would inject a venomous cocktail of chemicals into it.

The angel's war-torn form rushed towards the ominious invader, with his spear primed and ready to bathe in heretic blood. Yet as he got close, the enemy rose its skeletal arms to unleash its own fury upon the savior of man. Gadreel would first feel a stinging pain erupting from his feet upwards as large thorns of metal attempted to wrap around his legs. He felt the stinging barbs dig into his legs, piercing through his holy form as crimson slowly bled from underneath. Yet this utter affliction was nothing new to him. The Angel of War had sustained far graver injuries than this. This was nothing more equivalent than brushing through giant hedges of rose bushes. And pain made him grow ever more determined to rid this monster from the face of Holy Terra.

He would free one of his legs from the barbed brush before witnessing his opponent breath out a cloud of thick yellow gas towards him. Sensing it as an immediate threat, Gadreel's helmet concealed the rest of his face as the gas passed through him without delay. Now freeing his other leg, the White Knight rushed towards his opponent as he leapt into the air over it. Once facing the monster's backside, the Angel of War used his mighty strength to throw his crimson spear straight towards the Accuser's neck, attempting to decapacitate this vile specimen before it causes more harm to this city.

Closing in for the kill on the wounded Neurotis, Cyclopean closed with its menacing gaze, city blocks being frozen beneath it, people turning into frozen statues sculpted in frozen fear trying to run away from the monstrous machine being.
Powering up its maw, spikes of bright blue energy was building up before it would unleash the killing blow on the sauropod.

It was here Neurotis regained her composure and cloaked, seemingly turning invisible in front of everyone's bare eyes, in confusion Cyclopean unleashed the titanic beam which continuously cut into the city, leveling several blocks leaving a molten trail of glass-like substances in the several metre deep trench it scored into the landscape before it seized and began to look around for its foe.
An outstretched left palm, a few simple motions with the right hand sent its cyclopii on the hunt.

In groups of five each, the minions made sweeps trying to find the titanic beast which had done the unthinkable and was evading its senses and detection.
To find it, the squads was performing strafing runs, mostly to see Neurotis being hit by some of the cutting beams but also at the same time attacking the city which was suffering greatly from the onslaught of twenty groups of cyclopii performing relentless airstrikes.

Neurotis senses and instincts were on point however, while the encirclement took a bit longer than planned, it was only by seconds, her deft movements avoiding buildings with unexpected graze and she got into attack position.
She pounced, but had miscalculated and knocked several cyclopii out of the sky with her sail. Something Cyclopean immediately responded to, raising his shield the moment Neurotis decloaked and nearly sank her teeth into it.

The force pushed it back and vicious mucous was seen dripping on the energy barrier.
Cyclopean managed to push Neurotis off it and prepared to fire again as Cyclopii began to close in, a few whom were close and could react far quicker than the massive kaiju's got in a few beam attacks and a hack but the moment before Cyclopean fired she cloaked and evidently disappeared again as the area she had stood was completely annihilated by the combined barrage of beams.

Unbeknownst to Cyclopean, Neurotis had bounded to the right of it and had managed to get behind the machine. Seeing the opening she attacked again, the invisible bite tearing into Cyclopeans right shoulder, metal struts breaking under the massive pressure and the mucous being pumped into some parts of the living titanium.
Uttering a grunt of white noise, Cyclopean countered with a elbow strike with its left arm, hitting Neurotis square in the face, doing some damage but more importantly making her release her grip on it, she flashed briefly into vision with a sort of rolling effect across her body, the white noise and the pain temporarily disrupting her cloak.
But with another motion, now a raised palm to the sky Cyclopean and its minions once more let loose upon the point Neurotis had stood, but with similar results as last time.

Realising its dilemma, Cyclopean made a few circling hand gestures upon which twenty Cyclopii began to circle it in a perfect circle, making a barrier of themselves to help Cyclopean be able to counter Neurotis sneak attacks.
Five others tried to repair its broken shoulder, but that would take a long time, but the wound was deep enough to warrant immediate repairs.
Within seconds, Cyclopean also began to notice problems. The mucous was making important subsystems go haywire, had Cyclopean been a biological being it would probably succumb to the poisons within the bile, but now it was simply making it sluggish and unable to accumulate energy as fast for its maw beam.

It scanned the city, trying to predict Neurotis next move while also having the remaining cyclopii ravage the city trying to find the sauropod nuisance.

The Sentinel

As Lady Liberty and the Red Devil battled it out in Manhattan, a large entity could be detected moving in the waters surrounding New York. A few minutes later, a dim blue light could be seen illuminating a patch of water not far from the other two combatants. They would eventually notice a large entity slowly rising out of said area, with a low mechanical sound emanating from the object as it does so. It soon stopped after enough of itself had emerged from the water, basking in the sunlight after two decade or so of rest. The head of the entity slowly moved around, as if scanning the environment, before focusing on the two titans that were locked in combat. The entity's exterior would then light up once again, as many small blue lights made themselves visible across its armor and the turrets positioned on the hull would start moving their barrels towards the giants. Three large artificial limbs would then appear as well, spiraling out into the air as the mech's four legs would start lumbering forward, the Sentinel has joined the fight.
