Isabella looked started at Nic, not understanding till she realized she smiled too wide. "uh..uhm.. Yes I am a Vampire. I have been around for a very long time. The sun doesn't bother me as much as it used to. When you live amungst humans sometimes you have to appear to be one." Feeling a little more comfortable she relaxed a small amount. Causing Persephone to come join them by her side. Her striking green eyes looking straight at the girl that just landed by Nics side.

Taking in the girls frightened appearance, and her dog like smell, she felt the need to try and calm her nerves. "Don't worry young one, I am not here to hurt, just to co-exist somewhere where people arent frightened of me." Isabella smiled again, this time a little warmer than before. Well as warm as she could being a corpse.

Nic smiled widely and chuckles a bit " on that's neat Peter must be pretty young then and trust me even if you were here to hurt me lacey wouldn't let that happen "lacey looks at Isabella with a calmer look on her face" well good that's nice to know"

Isabella looked startled by Nics words. Putting two and two together she finally figured out why there was a dog smell around. "Is Lacey some sort of werebeing?" She asked polightly in her raspy voice. Persephone hearing the words made her way to sit behind Isabella. Persephones experience with anything involving the canine race has not been a pleasant one. Which is why she is stuck her her cat state.

Nic smiled again " correct you are yeah she is a werewolf and I'm a beast tamer but our relationship is voluntary she could leave and become someone else's protector if she wanted to"

peter and marigold resumed their hunt.

Remembering that Nic has another vampire friend she started to wonder where this friend was. "That is a great relationship to have! Persephone here is stuck in her animal state. Its been centuries since she has been in her real form. I'm not exactly sure if she even remembers what its like to walk on two legs." Isabella was half joking but she was also being fairly serious.

"You also mentioned your friend who is also a vampire? Why isn't this friend around? If you don't mind my asking?" She didn't want to come off too strong, but it has been a fairly long time since she has come across someone of her own kind. Persephone continued to look out from behind Isabella questioningly at Lacey.

Nic and lacey exchanged a look " he's out hunting with his mate"Lacey looks at the cat " how did you get stuck"

Peter soon returned from hunting with Marigold. He blinked when he saw the other female vampire and so did Marigold.

Alexander was searching for a food source. He was hunting. He blinked when he scented other vampires nearby and quickly charged in that direction. He stopped when he saw them.

Nic looked around " how many vampires are in this forest"

Isabella looked at Lacey with a touch of sadness in her eyes. "Persephone was caught up in a bit of a magical misfortune. Witches viewed themselves as the superior species. When she was able to walk freely among us as herself, there were others who thought less of it. There was a werewolf who sought to destroy other shape shifters. So that werewolf made a deal with a witch and this was the outcome, she was the test subject of it I suppose. A long time has since passed and that witch is long gone, taking with her the only way to break this spell." Loking down at Persephone, she leaned down and picked her up in her arms, petting her head.

She got so caught up in her story that she hadn't noticed the other vampire that had joined them. Until Nic had said something. Isabella looked over at Peter and smiled softly as a sort of hello and a way of communicating that she meant no harm. Her white eyes appearing opal in the light.

Nic Sat down watching all the free vampires meet each other " that's terrible"lacey said early but also a little interested as she had never heard of a witch

"I haven't come across one in centuries. They mostly tend to live amongst the humans. Alot of the time you cannot tell a difference between the two. They aren't like us, where we are pale skinned and have fangs. They are identical to the humans, the only time you would know there was a witch near is if you can smell it. Humans have no way of knowing." Isabella explained this to Lacey while holding Persephone. Stroking the top of her cats head. She wished she could find a way to break this spell so that she could have her friend back.

Isabellas raven flew down to land right infront of Nic. Looking at him from side to side with its red eyes. There was really nothing special about the raven, just came to isabella one day and never really left. More of a pet than anything.

Nic smiled and winked at the raven messing around while lacey nodded " hey Nic are beast tamers a type of witch"Nic looked at her " um no I don't think so"

Isabella looked at Lacey "Beast tamer?" She asked. She had never heard this term before, and She wasn't sure as to why they would need taming. Persephony and her brother were more friends or family than anything. They trust in her to protect them. The idea of taming them seemed strange, or anyone trying to tame her. She knew she was a beast but not one that needed taming.

The Raven crowed at Nic and jumped up onto his leg looking at him cockeyed.

Nic petted the raven" yeah a beast tamer I could tell you all about it but it would be better just to show you"he looks at Isabella and suddenly she walks a couple of steps forward

Isabella seemed to have lost all control of her body and was stepping forward with out her consent. Persephone jumped out of Isabellas arms and stood back a fair amount, not wanting what was happening to isabella to happen to her. Isabella was thinking to herself how terrible this feeling was. To not have control over her actions or her movements, but to be able to think about it. Never having to had to do this before, she wasn't sure on how to fight off the control. In her centuries of being around, she had never come across something like this before.

Nic stopped controlling her " don't worry though I don't like to use my abilities I can also make lacey turn into her wolf form and a couple other things concerning vampires but I don't like to do stuff like that"Lacey nodded " yeah Nic would much rather have a beast be friends with him and help him on its own accord"

Peter sniffed the air. He smelled vampire on her. He nodded.
Marigold looked jealous and suddenly went overprotective. She grabbed Peters' hand and held it tight. Peter blinked and looked at Marigold, barely able to hear Isabella.

Alexander stopped in his tracks. He saw them as they were talking. He hissed when he caught the scent of a human, hesitant to approach any closer.

Gaining control back over her being she ran her fingers through her midnight black hair. "How does one aquire those abilities?" She asked looking at Nic. The raven, having just witnessed what just happened, flew from Nics leg and landed on Isabellas shoulder Gentally nudging at her ear to make sure she was okay. "So tamers are born to fight off the vampires?" Isabella was trying to make sense of it. She knew that once upon a time, vampires were feared and hated for their rabid behavior. They didnt know how to control their hunger. As the race became older and more wise they learned to control this and some even refused to drink the blood of a human or any being of the sort. They chose to sit and rot in a mumified state till there was nothing left of them.

Nic smiled " one is born with them and not just vampires all beasts but vampires seem to be the most numerous right now"
