He smiled at Elizabeth "oh your awake" he says. He looked a little like Brandon but had a darker look about him. his hair was shorter. He had the same colored blue eyes. "My daughter did wake you with that scream of hers did she?" he says "who might you be?" he asked Elizabeth.

Kali stood behind her father. Her cheek was red where she was hit. "Brandon's Fiance" she says to her father.

he turns and looks at Kaliska. "I wasn't talking to you" he hissed. Kali cowarded a little. he smiled wickedly and turned his attentions to Elizabeth. "so your my son's new play thing?" he says

Brandon heard Kali's scream and got up and down a few doors to see it open. He walked in. Kali looked at him her eyes had tears in them and she just shook her head for him to stop.

Elizabeth kept herself calm. She couldn't risk changing into a dragon again. Not yet. She did narrow her eyes though.
"Stop. Please. This isn't a place for violence."

James entered the room. He blinked. Then, his eyes narrowed at the sight of the man.

Emma showed up behind James.

Eric soon showed up.

He ignored her statement and plea "so your the women my son wrote about" he says as he eyed her up and down. "i must say he has good taste, i wonder how you taste" he says and licks his lips

Brandon went into the room further "you wont touch her" he says to him. "I was wondering when you were going to speak up" he smiled at his son.

"you arrived early" he says to him. the man nodded "yes yes so I did" he told him "I finished my other business sooner then anticipated" he said. then looked back at Elizabeth then looked to Kaliska. "now for you daughter" he smiled and noticed the audience. "well well well, what do we have here?" he asked looking at everyone.

Brandon looked at Elizabeth. He went over to her. "did he touch you?" he asked

Elizabeth blinked. She sighed. She looked at Brandon. She shook her head no.
"No. He didn't. Thank goodness."

James stepped forward. He went to Kali. He saw her face and his eyes went wide. He snarled but he quickly calmed himself. He looked at her father with narrowed eyes.
"The name is James McKnight. You may know of my late father."

Emma stepped forward. She introduced herself as his mother.

Eric introduced himself as the host of the festivities. He also warned him bot to be violent under his roof.

"good" brandon said."i dont want you to go anywhere without being with me or someone else while he is here" he told her.

"tisk tisk" he said to james "don't you touch her" he says to him. kali looked at him and pleaded with him with her eyes to obey. she stepped back from him.

he looked at Emma and smiled he gave a small bowed "yes i knew of your husband" he says ignoring james.

Emma narrowed her eyes.
"Then it would be wise to show my son some respect. If you recall, by title alone He is more powerful than you are, and very very wealthy."

James sighed and didn't move from his spot. He had to stay calm for Kalis' sake.

Elizabeth nodded. She hugged Brandon, fighting tears.

brandon kissed her on her head "you will alright" he whispered to her.

he looks at Emma "you say that like your convincing yourself. i thought you didnt care about titles" he said to her "or is it only when it serves you that you use them" he says. "and more powerful? he is a halfling and young,his powers are still developing'"he says looking at James and Emma.

"I don't. But it would still be wise to show respect to your superior, correct?"
Emma narrowed her eyes.

James sighed.
"I'm older than I look."

Emma sighed.
"Don't bother hiding it. We know you're here to size him up. Quit it with the pretense and just test him already."

James and Sticking both blinked.

Elizabeth nodded. She blinked when she heard Emma.

he looked at her then to james. "im in no hurry" he says. "but while im here he will not touch her." he said " he will not be left alone with her" he said " after all she is my property" he says to them. he reaches out to kali and plays with a strand of her hair wwith his fingers.

kali moved slightly as she saw him reach for her. she knee not to move to much otherwise she would be hit again. she couldnt look at james or emma. she was embarrassed about this.

brandon walked up behind. "lets the girls get ready now they are up. he moved kali out of his reach and over to her bed. his father glared at him for koving her.

James sighed. He looked at Eric, who spoke up.

Eric stepped forward.
"I would appreciate if you refrain from touching your daughter like that, sir. This is my home, and while you are here you will abide by MY rules. Do we have an understanding?"

Emma tried not to smirk at that. Even the majority of pure bloods feared Eric during the few times he ever got angry, and for good reason.

Elizabeth glared at the man. The hand she had hidden behind her back had shifted into almost dragon-like claws for a moment.

Tallon looked at Eric "if i must" he says he looked at kali. she sat on her bed waiting for everyone to leave. she needed to get dressed.

brandon looked at everyone "okay lets all get out. they need to get ready" he says

emma left, making James leave too.

Eric followed suit.

Elizabeth sighed. She got dressed quickly. She would wait for kali in a new dress.

once everyone but elizabeth left she curled up on the bed and just laid there crying.

brandon went back to his room and got dressed. once he was done he walked back to the girls room.

tallon stayed outside kalis room. he waited for his daughter. he watched brandon come back

Elizabeth went to kali to comfort her.
"James will win. He'll pass the test, I just know he will. You won't be your fathers 'property' for much longer."

James waited with brandon after he finished getting ready.

Emma was looking towards Tallon. 'I've got my eye on him'she thought.

Eric was finishing getting ready and he headed downstairs.

"this is a game to him" she says "i dont think my father will allow me to marry who i choose" she says to Elizabeth.

brandon walked over to his fathrr "how is mother?" he asked

Tallon rolled his eyes "why does it matter?" he says "shes home taking care of your youngest sibling" he says "your girl is pretty little thing, she will make you pretty children" he says "i will be talking with her father soon about her" he says

Elizabeth sighed.
"me and his mother were talking not too long ago. She's going to help James pay a 'bride price' if he is rejected, even after passing. She knows your father won't say no to that."

Emma thought about how much she would pay to ensure that her son was happy.

Eric entered the main room.

james sighed.

Elizabeths' family had already arrived. The training had finished sooner than expected.

"my Father"s he says "you dont know what he will do, he would turn it down if he felt it wasn't in his best interest" she says and she sat up. "i dont deserve a man like James" she says to Elizabeth. She gets out of bed and goes to her closet. "your dress is really pretty" she says to her and she pulls out her next dress. She gets it on. "can you lace me up and cinch me in please" she asked her.

Tallon was growing impatient. Brandon looked at the door. "She is very pretty" he says to his father "so you came alone?" he asked his father. Tallon nodded "I did, i figure your one younger brother wasn't ready for this yet, but i guess he will have to get prepare to start attending them soon, since you will be married at some point" he said. "your girl in there has a nice price attached to her" he says Brandon just nodded, but that wasn't the reason why he loved her.
