Elizabeth helped her. She sighed.
"trust me, with what she has to offer, he won't say no."

Emma sighed and looked towards brandon and his father.
James was pacing.

Elizabeths' father and mother and brother were now in the main hall. The man, her father, was scanning the room.

"He would turn it down just so i wasn't happy" she frowned "he would marry me off to someone else" she told her. once she was done she fixed her hair and did her make-up. She knew her father wasnt a patient person and if wasn't fast she would be punished later for taking to long. She slipped her shoes on.

Tallon banged on the door. That made Kali jump "shit" she muttered. she knew she was forgetting something but couldnt think of it right now. She went to the door and opened it. she looked down as her father stood there. he wickedly grinned and put one finger under her chin and brought her face up to look at "you almost pretty today Kaliska" he said and grabbed her arm "go" he says she stumbled a bit out as he gave her a shove.

Brandon was there to help her steady herself and he gave her a nod. She looked at him then gave a quick glance at James. She just want his arms around her. He saw Liz in the room and went to get her.

"Hey Beautiful" he says to her and offers his arm for her to take "you look stunning in the dress, i like that color" he gave her a smile.

Elizabeth shook her head. So far, Emma hadn't been wrong, so she trusted her.

Emma narrowed her eyes. she had followed and seen the shove. Her big offer, her sacrifice, couldn't come fast enough.

James looked at kali, wishing he could hold her.

Elizabeth hugged brandon. She blushed. she followed them all to the ballroom. she gasped when she saw her family.

Brandon looked at her "who is here your family?" he asked her and he looked in the direction of where she was looking. he leans to her ear "stand tall, your safe with me" he whispered to her and he walked her down the steps.

Kali followed behind her brother. she looked up. her father was behind her. She turned her head to find James. She wanted his comfort. she hated this. she was scared of her father

Tallon smiled as he walked "eyes ahead sweetheart" he said to her "something tells me that your brother was lax in his gaurding you" he says

Elizabeth nodded. Her father walked up to them with his eyes narrowed. Her brother yawned. Her mother wasn't even looking at her. She frowned.

James looked at kali, frowning.

Emma was waiting at the largest table. She was about to have that bride price talk with Tallon.

Brandon stopped with Elizabeth he gave a slight bow to her Family "Hello sir, I'm Brandon Crowe" he says "My sister Kaliska and Father Tallon" he said

Tallon Came around with Kaliska in tow. "Please join us at our table" Tallon suggested.

Kaliska curtsy "pleasure to meet you sir" she says not making eye contact.

Elizabeth would not look at her father.

The man nodded.
"I am Alexander Edward Stefan Valentine. This is my wife, Madeline."
The woman bowed her head.
"and this is my son and precious heir Christopher."
The boy, around Elizabeths' age, bowed his head a bit.
Alexander accepted the offer and joined them all, along with Emma and James, at the same table.

James sighed and waited.

Brandon walked Elizabeth to the table and pulled out her chair for her.

Kaliska arrived at the table with her father and she looked at James. She went over to sit next to James. Her father watched her and narrowed his eyes. He watched james as he sat down.

"Alexander where are you and your family from?" Tallon asked.

Elizabeth sat down. She was next to brandon.

James pulled out a chair for kali. He would not sit down until after she did. He sat down next to her, but kept his hands to himself. He had to prove himself to her father after all.

Emma sighed.

Alexander looked at Tallon. He described it to him. It was the same paradise-island like home that Elizabeth had described to brandon.
"you would need quite the boat to get there, unless you can change forms like we shape-shifters can."
Christopher kept looking away from everyone. He scratched his neck. He was wearing a very expensive engagement ring.

Tallon raised a brow "shapeshifter?" he says and looks at his son. "that was something my son left out in his letter" he said

Brandon looked at his father "i didnt think it was important" he said. he looked at Elizabeth and gave her a smile. "would you like a glass of water?" he asked her.

Kali gave him a small smile "thank you" she said as she sat down. she looked at Elizabeth and then her brother. she leans over to Elizabeth "your brother is engaged" she says in a low whisper that only they could hear.

Elizabeth shrugged. She was too nervous to care.
She blinked when she heard Kali. She glanced at her brother and nodded.
"yes, my father did mention he was marrying into royalty himself."
She sighed a bit.

Alexander raised an eyebrow.
"I am sure you would accept the great dowry I have placed on her head, if she were to marry your son?"
He could have sworn that some would give their right arm to be able to change forms, or to have children or grandchildren who had he ability.

James looked at kali.

Tallon nodded his head "of course" he says. "do you have any other terms you want to go over?" he asked

Brandon looked at her "dont worry you already agreed" he whispered to her "i will go fetch you a water" he says and he got up. he took her hand and kissed it before excusing himself to go get her some water and bloodwine for himself.

Kali looked over at James and gave him a small smile. she wanted him to hold her hand,

"a family alliance and such are mainly why we are marrying her off. she needs to be useful somehow. -sighs-
we were lucky with our son that we found a royal partner for him. the same can not be said for our daughter, but we are lucky enough to have found someone to marry her all the same."

Elizabeth frowned and looked away. She barely nodded at brandon.

james looked at kali and smiled. he wanted to hold her hand, but he couldn't.

Emma blinked and looked at alexander.
'did that man actually say something that helped my sons' cause?'she thought, surprised.

"I might not be royalty or have those titles but we have resources in droves" he said to Alexander. "my business lets say is very Lucrative" he smiled.

brandon didnt waste time,he wanted to get back to Elizabeth. he brought back two glasses and gave her the one with water in it. he sat back down.

Kali looked at Brandon and motioned him to ask Elizabeth. She hoped that James would follow suit.

Brandon hid his smile to not alarm his father and he looked at Elizabeth "may I have this dance Ms. Elizabeth" he says as he got up and offered his hand to her.

Tallon watched his son with the girl.

"Then we have a deal then."

Elizabeth placed her hand in his.

She followed him onto the dance floor and she would dance with him.

Alexander was watching.

James stood up. He knew what kali was thinking. He bowed to her.

Tallon heard James and he tilted his head and watched. He looked at his daughter. he saw something in her eyes.

Kali was so happy, she was screaming on in the inside but hid it on her face "yes" she says calmly and took his hand and got up. she walked with him to the dance floor.

brandon kissed her hand as he bowed to her on the floor. He put an arm around her waist and took the other one and began to dance her around the floor. he smiled at her "well its a done deal, i heard your dad agree" he says and twirled her around and brought her back to him "your mine and your free of your family" he told her.

James escorted her onto the dance floor. He was a perfect gentlemen with her. He made sure her father saw that.

Emma could not help but smile a bit.

Alexander and his wife sighed.
their son looked bored.

Elizabeth could not stop smiling. She was happy.
"Yes."

he smiled at her "and it looks like your parents and brother are bored as hell" he says "if your lucky they will leave tomorrow" he says.

Kali danced with James "thank you" she says to him. "i miss being close to you" she says to him and looks down.

Tallon looked at Elizabeth parents "when would you like to have the wedding?" he asked

Elizabeth sighed.

"as soon as possible."
Alexander told him.

"I missed being close to you too. I don't know how much longer I can take, but I must endure if I am to be the one you marry."
James spoke quietly as they danced.

Emma sighed. She was waiting to have the bride price talk with Tallon.

Tallon nodded "by the end of next week then?" he says "you can make arrangements as to where you want it" he says to them. "My wife and i will pay for it all" he told them. "just pick out what you want and send me the bills" he told them.

"honestly, i wish you would just kidnap me away so i dont have to deal with any of this" she says "I love you" she mouthed. she didn't want her father to her her say those words.

Brandon smiled "my wife" he says "it has a good ring to it" he told her
