"Hopefully my mother can talk with him soon, so we won't have to wait much longer."

she nodded in agreement. she hoped that her father would agree. SHe also knew he could drag this out.

Brandon smiled "i want to kiss you" he says to her

Tallon looked at his daughter and James. Then he looked at Emma. he noticed her smile. "what do you think of Kaliska?" he asked her

James nodded. He tried not to sigh.

Elizabeth kissed him.

Emma looked at Tallon.
"She's a wonderful girl. She's perfect for James."

Brandon kissed her back. He was happy to be able to have her forever. Tallon raised a brow "prefect?" he said "she is far from prefect for any suitor" he says and he turns to look for his daughter dancing. He caught Brandon Kissing his soon to be wife.

Kali danced with james for a few more moments before the song was over. "thank you" she says to him with a small smile.

Emma raised an eyebrow.
"My son seems to think she's perfect. And if you think she isn't then I doubt you'll think she'll attract another suitor, correct?"

James smiled a bit.
"You're welcome."

Elizabeth kissed him back.

Eric was exploring the dance floor. He kept an eye on things.

"she like any women can seduce a man, regardless of what she looks like, she has tits and an ass, she flaunts them right she can have any man here" he says to her. "i didnt let her come here to find a suitor" he told Emma

Brandon pulls her closer to him and he deepened the kiss. He moved his lips to her neck. "mm you smell good too" he whispers in her ear.

Kali walked over to the bar to get a drink. She didnt want to go back to the table with her father.

"I'll just cut to the chase then. You've heard of a bride price custom, correct?"

James sighed, watching her leave.

Elizabeth blinked. She suddenly felt nervous.

Eric looked towards a certain table.

Brandon chuckled a bit as he felt her heart rate kick up. "whats wrong Liz?" he asked her

Tallon looked back to Emma "yes yes what about it?" he said a bit annoyed.

Kali stood there sipping her bloodwine. he turned her head and watched James and then saw Eric. She hoped he was doing better. She gave a wink to james and turned back around.

Emma sighed.
"Our family honors the custom. She is worth more than anything to James. And so, if it is within my power to grant, I will give you something in return."

Elizabeth blinked and shook her head.

Eric looked around again.

"and what is it that your offering for my daughter?" he asked Emma

Brandon smiled "i made you nervous. why?" he asked her

Kali took her glass and went walking around. she saw eric was looking for something and she walked up behind him and tapped him on the shoulder. "lose something?" she asked him

Elizabeth touched her neck.

James sighed.

Eric blinked. He shook his head no.
"Keeping an eye on things."

"you think you have something I would want?" he says "from you restaurants to your own businesses?" he says smiling. "if i allow my daughter to marry your son, she will be gaining a title and crown, she will be a princess of sorts will she not" he says

brandon watched her "i would never feed from you if that is what you are worried about" he says "unless you wanted me too" he looked at her.

"you mean my father" she says as she stood next to him and took a sip of her bloodwine.

Emma raised an eyebrow.

Elizabeth turned red.

James waited.

Eric shrugged.
"Among other things."

he smiled at her "you dont need to worry" he says "when i feed i will do it from others" he says to her "though i have tasted you just a little, you are very sweet" he told her.

he Shrugged "No problem, yet" he says to her

Kali looked at Eric. "im hoping he is gone soon, but im sorry i cant guarantee that" she says and she bowed to him before returning to the table.

Tallon glared at Kali. "where have you been?" he asked. Kali stopped "getting a drink sir" she says to him. "you will not sit" he told her "your dance partner came back to the table without you, you will not sit the rest of evening and dance with whomever wants too" he told her

Kali nodded in compliance and stood off from the table. She wished she wore more comfortable shoes. it was going to be a long day.

James gave Kali an apologetic look. He wished he had insisted on her returning to the table with him. Now, because of him, she was in trouble while he looked innocent. 'some future husband I am'he thought with a frown.

Edit sighed and nodded.

Emma nodded. But, then she frowned when she heard him and such.

Elizabeths' family all frowned. Her rather raised an eyebrow.

Elizabeth turned redder, barely nodding.

he smiled as he brought both her hands up and he kissed them both. he glanced over to the table, seeing his sister stand off to the side. He sighed "lets go, i need to find out whats going on" he says to her as he walked her back to the table. He looked at his father "why is Kaliska standing over there?" he asked him

Tallon smiled "serving a reminder for not following orders" he said to him "to remind your sister that her freedom is in my hands" he says.

Brandon narrows his eyes at his father "your an ass and tyrant" he says through clenched jaws.

"I am and you better watch my son, for you have 5 other brothers willing to take your place and inherit the business, remember i hold your future to, i can cut you off" he said smiling.

James felt like he was walking on thin glass. He had to be careful. He may have gained approval, and perhaps permission, but the guy could easily revoke it and there would be no wedding. He hoped he could hold back his anger long enough until afterwards.

Elizabeth followed Brandon. She frowned with worry, fighting tears.
Her father narrowed his eyes at her.

Emma narrowed her eyes.

Eric narrowed his eyes and frowned.

Kali stood there glancing at James. He didnt deserve this. He didnt deserve having to go through this and witness to any of it. he was so much better then her family. She loved him. She also knew her father. she had tears in her eyes. her heart hurt. she frowned and looked down. A gentlemen walked over to Kali. She looked at the man. He asked her to dance and she knew she had no choice. She nodded and was lead to the dance floor.

Brandon looked to Elizabeth. Tallon looked at them both "you wed in a week" he says. Brandon was happy that the engagement wouldnt be long. He wanted to marry liz as soon as possible.

James frowned. But, he kept his mouth shut. He didn't want to anger her father. Sure, his title and vast wealth and such opened the door, but his behavior could have it slammed in his face, so to speak. he had to be careful. However, he already had the ring in his pocket. He just had to wait for the ok from her father, which could take a little while. Anyway, he just waited for everything, for her father to decide a date, for the right moment to propose formally, etc. He had to be patient. He kept an eye out though, his protective nature was something her father could approve of, he hoped.

Elizabeth blinked 'so soon?'she thought. However, she found herself rather relieved. It would all be over with soon.

Kali was dancing with the guy. She made polite conversation. She was even seen laughing a few times. She would take glances over at James. She wished her father would go away. She wanted to be held by james, kissed by him and while her father was anywhere near that wasn't going to happen.

Brandon looked at His and Elizabeth's father "we will start work on the details tomorrow then" he looked at Elizabeth. If his father thought cutting him off was going to affect him any it wouldn't. He has his own money and business that he has kept from his father. It was his insurance incase he did something to piss his father off to badly.
