Cecily

The light-wood polished floors were splattered with fresh blood. The white fur carpet under the dining room table and marble table in similar condition. Broken bits of glass from the chandelier were scattered across the table. The woman in the designer dress at one head of the table was lifeless, dressed up in beautiful jewels and her hair in a lovely updo, her head laid back against the chair in probably the least elegant pose it had ever been. Her eyes were fixated with an unfaltering gaze toward the ceiling as if it were so interesting she couldn't possibly rip the gaze away. The brown irises were eerily inert in their place. Accross the table of fine china, wine glass, and blood was a handsome middle-aged man in a suit just as expensive as his wife's dress, his head down against the table, his arms awkwardly pressed against it. His eyes were shut as if he were peacefully asleep.

Then there was Cecily. She too was strewn over the table as if she had needed a nap. Dressed in quite the lovely long-sleeved white lace dress, the blood was awfully visible over her chest. Her long dark hair was brought back into an elegant bun. From a faraway glance, they might have looked like a family of dolls a young toddler had awkwardly sat in the chairs. That is, if the child had a nasty affinity for violence and decided to douse the room in blood and litter the walls with bulletholes.

It was dark. The sirens of police, that were just a bit too late, wailed in the distance as they finally began to inch closer to the tragic scene. That was when one doll alerted to life. Cecily burst upward in her seat with a loud gasp. She looked around wildly, dimly aware of the feeling of what felt like a small bead dropping down the inside of her shirt. Panic filled her as her eyes darted back at forth at the scene, unable to adjust and process what was before her. She clutched the sides of her chair as something started to register and she bolted over to her mother's side, shaking her arm. "Mother... Mother... Oh God.."Her voice quickly choked up with emotion as she refused to let the reality of the situation sink in. It felt like a blur for Cecily from that moment on. Her own voice as well as the world around her muted as she tried to awake her parents. The police were at the scene shortly after. Cecily did not pay attention to what was happening, consumed by her shock. She became dimly aware of being outside rather suddenly, a coat wrapped around her and continuous comforting words from an officer that she had yet to look at and acknowledge. Cecily did not even recall receiving the coat. The one thing that startled her into reality was when she finally gazed around at her situation and found herself sitting in a the back of a van and not of a police car.

Sorin

Police sirens began to rung through the air after the report of gunshots. The CEO of Office Supplies Inc. was an undercover organized crime syndicate. Sorin was merely a freelance assassin but he had been personally requested to assassinate the entire Bellemore family. The reason why was none of his concern. It had taken only a moment to go in and dispose of the targets. Getting away was not an issue since he was able to dissipate into tiny molecules to become the form of a gas. He watched as the young daughter suddenly woke from death itself to his surprise. She was obviously startled and the reaction that followed was predictable. The police that arrived into the room in bulk seemed to pick up on something being off about her survival. Sorin watched as she was led into an unknown van outside. He moved through the air with ease into the vehicle to follow her before it drove off. This could easily become a problem. He was going to have to take her or kill her again, which could prove difficult being as she survived a gunshot. Sorin then took physical form once the van was moving and everything settled down for the most part. He looked over at the young girl and said, "Hello there." He was a tall young man with pale skin and long blonde hair. The clothes he wore were all black like most assassins. His eyes were a piercing blue and they were bearing down on the girl with no emotion.

Shay

The exhausted sigh of the tall young woman broke the silence of the serene home. Shay groaned as she slipped off her heels (or death traps as she called them) and hung up her coat. She pulled her hair out of the ponytail it had been in all day with relief. God, her head had been hurting. She hated pulling it up into ponytails. She looked around the house briefly for Alex. Her heart skipped a beat just thinking about him. She could feel her entire body relax and her expression lighting up. "Alex, I'm back! And I've missed you so so much!" She paused, then added, "And I'm so excited to see yoouuuu." She changed pajamas and took off her makeup.

Afterwards, she laid down on the bed with a groan. Her body ached from wearing her high heels. She was not looking forward to ever wearing them again. Shay sighed about thinking of how she would have to dress herself up again tomorrow. This damn corporation had to have a dress code, didn't it? At least they had accepted her; most of the businesses had turned her down due to her age and inexperience. She knew she wanted to become an official employee here for its' elite reputation, money and benefits. Shay combed her hair through her fingers and looked at the clock. It read 7:00. There was enough time in the evening to still see Alex and also eat. She rubbed her temples and stood up and went to the kitchen.

Cecily

"Hello there."

Cecily felt chills go up her spine. She squinted in the dark van but the light from the windows illuminated the pale face with blue eyes. She could have sworn it had been empty. Where had he come from? She had pinched herself quite a few times already but this was no dream. there was too much nonsense for this to be real. Maybe she had been drugged. In the few moments of silence to digest, she had come to the conclusion her family had been murdered and she was part of the attempted targets. She could remember the painful force of the bullet piercing her body then sudden blackness. A memory surfaced from the back of her mind. As the cops had dragged her away, she had felt the small bead-like object in her dress fall down to the floor with a faint ring. She had been shot. There was no mistaking the bullet going through yet it fell out.

She rubbed her temples, overwhelmed. Tears had been brimming in her eyes throughout the whole ordeal but it felt like she forgot how to cry. "Uh, hey. Where are we going?" She asked, deciding to accept that maybe he'd been in the truck and she hadn't noticed. Cecily had no room in her mind to try to decipher another nonsense event.

Alex

Alex sat back against the bedroom wall, his reading glasses pirched on his nose, his blue eyes dimmed by the despair of studying the laptop before him. The television was blaring on low volume nearby him and a bag of chips to on the blanket to his left. It had been mere background noise. He had been studying day and his eyes felt like they were going to pop out of his sockets as he forced them open a bit more to read each line twice, struggling to take in any information. The house had been still the whole night with the exception of the occasional crunching of chips.

A surge of euphoria began to fill him as he realized this was the last page of his study guide. "Fuck it."he said to himself and shut the laptop, pushing it far away from him as if it had been the most disgusting thing in the world. "I'll finish tomorrow."He muttered to himself. With little interest, he let his eyes wander to the television with the idea to turn it to something interesting when a face on the news caught his eye. The girl, that always at next to him in his creative writing class and gave him a pencil every time he forgot it, was on TV. Cecily Bellemore. She was pretty well-known for wearing really nice clothing and acting more polite than necessary. He was sure Shay and her had become friends at one point.

"Dr. Peter Bellemore and well-known clothing designer Melissa Bellemore found murdered in dramatic scene in their dining room. Daughter Cecily was found alive and now missing. If you see her, please cal-"
The news anchor was briefing the situation when a loud sigh startled Alex from his focus. His favorite voice in the world was soon ringing through the house.

He scrambled up to run to the kitchen before she got into the bedroom. He picked up a bouquet of her favorite flowers and moved quickly back into the bedroom once she was done changing. "There's my girl!"He greeted her, presenting her with the flowers. "I've missed you too! How was work today?? I'm so proud of you." He quickly grabbed the remote, turning off the news. He wasn't so sure what she had heard but he decided it'd be best not to depress her after a long day. There wasn't much they could do.

Sorin

"Uh, hey. Where are we going?"

Sorin decided on keeping the girl alive. Besides her good looks, she had some sort of regenerative ability that would prove useful to him. "Well this van isn't going anywhere but I need you to come with me. These are bad people and you don't really have much of a choice." He knew this would be a tough situation to get out considering he couldn't just change form with her, so he decided to wing it. Sorin then pulled a pistol from his coat and aimed to where the driver would be on the other side of the metal divider and pulled the trigger. The vehicle swerved off the road, hitting a guard rail with a rough thud that shook the vehicle. "Okay this is our stop. Take my hand and get ready when the door opens."
