@ActRaiserTheReturned I am not the OP here, but I guess he meant more than just add a highschool sweetheart. Also your artifact is pretty uncreative to be honest. Especially greek mythology has so many artifacts you could use to fit your purpose. Just an example, one of the Omphalos Stones, something like Zeus Aegis or not to mention the ton of artifacts the heroes like Perseus used.

@Duthguy I realize you already have artifacts but if you perhaps want something a bit more different or flashy than a sharp weapon have a look at this. These skull masks were apparently made from the skulls of great defeated warriors so perhaps your char could use one of them to summon the faceless spirit/zombie of its previous owner to fight for him. I just wanna make this suggestion because if im honest a especially sharp weapon is kind of boring and would be more fitting for a good of war. Also your char could still just wear a regular Macuahuitl.

Sorry to you both if I sound like I dislike your chars. That is not the case, I just wanted to make a few suggestions.

Alright. I thought Aegis might be too powerful.

Let’s not go too powerful just yet. It could be a gift from his father for later.

@The Narrator
Thank you for your help.

@Avanhelsing Would something like that be okay or is it too powerful for the start? In which case I'll add it later

@Duthguy
Your parent is a death god. Death gods do tend to give out some of their dead quite often. Now the mask would only be able to summon like five zombies at a time and they wouldn’t be too powerful. If you wanted to do warriors getting summoned by the mask, there would be far less of them but they would be more powerful. I have no issues with the mask of you want it.

I think I’m going to keep my Osiris kid. Would make sense for them coming together. A couple of death and underworld gods get together and have their kids get together.

So what do those magical stones called the Omphalous stones do?

@ActRaiserTheReturned Be creative, it is up to you. I and OP came up with our relics on a mythological/cultural basis and both took a bit of liberty with them, you can make the same with the stones. Zeus is not really a good of electricity, he is more of a King/Judge. The Stones represented divine or regal bloodlines, so perhaps they could also give your char some sort of ability in that sector. Than again you could also go with a more sky focused ability since they were carried by Zeus divine eagles.
Another idea if you want to go with electricity would be a weapon infused with it. A birthright could also be modern so a magical gun that shoots lightning is not out of the question. It could be forged by Hephaestus out of Adamantine and imbued with Zeus divine lightning. All this are just suggestions however, create what you feel is right but be creative.
Also I have a question. You have written that your char is not good at sports yet he has athletics and was somehow able to defeat a whole gang of thugs?
Also I realize I sound a bit hostile but again, not my intention.

@Avanhelsing Sorry if I take to much of a liberty here, you are OP after all

Here are a few things that you could do for a Zeus weapon or something. @The Narrator Mentioned a Gun that Shoots Lightning. That could work for a good starting weapon. You could add that there was a bit of the Master Lightning Bolt put into the creation of the gun to give it the power. Frankly, I am not too picky so long as it has something to do with the divine parent. Or you could look into something to boost his strength like Heracles. Or you could go for a gift that allows your guy to fly since Zeus was known to have his eagles.

@The Narrator
I am not going to slap you down since you clearly have a love of the mythology. You can suggest whatever you want and I will look over whatever you say. I am not the type to hold my plot in a vice grip. I think that is rude to stifle ideas that a person might have. And you haven't done anything wrong in my eyes.

@Avanhelsing Yeah I think the reason I am so active is that I have created dozens of Scion Chars. I used to play it quite frequently. Also mythology is just super dope.

I do so love the setting. Now not everything is great. I try to ignore the mess that was what they did to WW2 except for the Allied Delegations. Those were interesting. All the rest was messy to say the least.

Not really! I mean a base knowledge of Mythology is all you really need to understand Scion. The Mythological Gods you know are running around the modern day having kids. The Titans are getting lose and there are more of them than just the Greek ones. There's the setting in a nutshell.

For anything else, I can help out. And I am looking for a better source of info for the setting. I would use my google drive but the link does not work.

Perfect! The setting uses the classic myths. So Loki is not a pretty boy and Thor is the red haired version.
Basically any God is allowed.

@AvanhelsingDon't worry. I've been reading a book on Norse Mythology lately so I know a few stuff. (P.S. Odin is one hardcore motherfucker)

Question: Could my character's birthright be made by Brokkr and Eitri as a gift to my god parent?

That feeling when you see a RP that you're really interested in but already swore you wouldn't join anymore. Sigh.

So in this setting, how would a child of Loki work, considering that he is a Jotun (which would qualify as a titan) that joined the Aesir gods?

Of course the weapon can be made by the Master Smith Dwarves. It does not matter who made it since usually in setting the non crafting Gods have to ask for help in making Birthrights (the physical gifts).

I'm also interested! Gonna go for something a little less well-known, I think, though what exactly that ends up being is still up in the air.
