Evren charged through the alley and out onto the next street, paws making almost silent impact against the cobblestone street. At Aava’s advisement he looked back to check their pursuer, and growled lowly when he saw the man nearly keeping pace. ”(Just hold on, little fish.)” Evren said quietly.
In an attempt to lose their pursuer, Evren lead the chase back through town the way he’d came, weaving through the old buildings and trying to throw Hayato at every turn. Eventually the cobblestone road led out from town and the buildings became sparse. At the edge of the forest was an idling VW bus with its headlights at a low power, gently humming at the side of the road and flooding the dim sidewalk with light. Evren tensed for just a moment and then charged faster onward past the vehicle and towards to woods, as if trying to evade its driver.

Hayato Nijimura

Hayato was moving at inhuman speed being right behind them but was not fast enough to be beside them, He was jumping form building to building keeping his pace in chasing Evren and Aava. He was not going to stop until he caught them, Quickly picking up a stone form the cobble stone street. Although he would need precise precision for him throwing the large stone at the were creature's head.

He hoped the stone would land, So he could get close enough to attack him and the female. The anger he was feeling was rising up inside of his body. He was going to rip these two a new asshole for killing his young friend. If he could reach them before they go into the forest then that would be best. However if they go into the forest then that would also be a pro,Since they would be alone and he could transform into a werewolf.

Aava

@Kinjaav@Eviledd1984

Little fish.
Aava's eyes closed as she held on tighter, her racing, undead heart calming down at the vaguely familiar nickname. Aava's newly fleshed out fingers tangled more into Evren's mane, finding a familiar scent and some unexpected warmth there. Aava was used to cold, so her state of undress felt completely natural to her, bur feeling the warmth of the beast's mane reminded her of something long lost even before she had lost her current self.
Aava took a deep breath and glanced around once more, eyes darting around for any source of water.
The morning fog had been quickly evaporating as the sun peeked above the treeline and buildings, painting a pale golden line on the horizon. Aava had been trying to grasp at the fleeting water in the air for some while now, but the water had only garhered up to a few drop's worth. Luckily they just so happened to run past a small fountain on the side of the street on what looked like a park of some sort. This was more than enough for Aava, whose hair began weakly swirling and tangling like a heap of snakes as her subconscious commanded the water to her will.
The water began pulling out of the fountain like a twisting rope in the air. Then it gathered into a large, floating globe of water, ready to attack their chaser. Only Aava didn't get a chance to launch her defense as a rock hit her square in the back, knocking the wind out of her and breaking her already weak concentration.
Aava coughed for air and the water she'd tried to command fell flat on the ground in an underwhelming splash.
"(I tried...)" Aava rasped. Her abilities were almost nonexistent on land. She wasn't fast or strong, and all she could do was kind of control water. In fact, she hadn't even been aware she could do it. It had always come to her as more of an instinct than as something she could willingly control, and even now, her attempt had fallen flat before she'd even gotten a chance.

Evren felt Aava fall off of him, and reflexively pounced protectively over her. ”She has no part in this! I killed him, your quarrel is with me.” he crouched slightly, assuming a defensive position but keeping his friend covered. He raised his monstrous hackles and growled loudly, trying to mask the fear coursing through him fast as electricity. He didn’t want to be slain. For all his misery and melancholy, for all his confusion and disassociation he felt a deep pull to exist. He’d wandered half the world and felt more lost than ever until just a few decades ago; reuniting with Lucifer, creating a small place for himself in the world… it felt like being alive. He wasn’t ready to give that up. Evren took a small breath and continued to bark at the threatening man.
”I’m not like other biters, other vampires — my blood has unique power. I can take on any form, without consequence from the sun or moon. I know the human hunger for power and trickery.” Evren was washed by a new feeling; something old and bitter, a sharp disappointment in himself but he couldn’t place the source. ”If you spare us, I can give you boundless power the likes of which haven’t been seen since the fall of the Byzantine.”

Hayato Nijimura

By this point their was no negotiating with the older man, Hayato was quite angry and was not going to let the death of his young friend slide. Removing his glasses placing the expensive shades into his jacket pocket, Glaring at the creature and the woman it was carrying with intense hate. "You should not be negotiating with someone whom's friend you murdered in cold blood" He said in a heavy accented Japanese voice, Obviously English was not his first language but even then his point would come across clearly.

Cracking his neck and knuckles loudly,Putting away his suit jacket and taking off his pants. The reason for this was so he did not rip his clothing when he transformed. "It is bad bartering" He said suddenly transforming into his werewolf form. Now in his werewolf form letting out a loud howl then growling before rushing at the two.

Mostly wanting to go for the strange creature, As he would be the one that he would have to deal with before getting to the girl.

Aava

@Kinjaav@Eviledd1984

What is that thing?
Aavawas only getting up from the ground. When she looked back at the direction the rock had hit her from, she did not see a man, but an animal. A big, threatening animal that was charging at them. Aava looked up at her friend who was currently shielding her to the best of his ability. This seemed... Wrong. Aava couldn't quite place it, but a strong sense of protectiveness overcame her, and she reacted without even meaning to.
As the wolf was charging at them, the water that had previously splashed on the ground now begun moving, trickling into lines that began streaming in Aava's direction. They easily surpassed the wolf, raising up from the ground to form a barrage of watery slaps right on the creature's face. Unfortunately it was too quick for Aava to try and drown it in a water bubble, but that was the best she could do.
"Evren... Evren, weak, run.." Aava insisted pushing her friend.

A loud warning shot rang out from beside the parked VW as Beck fired a high-powered pistol in the air.“All of you stay right there or I’ll fucking chunk you.”
She aimed the gun at Evren, then at Hayato. Aava seemed nearly incapacitated and she made a quick glance in her direction without taking the gun off Hayato, who looked to be the biggest threat; Evren’s form was terrifying, but much smaller than the lycanthrope. Distant police sirens grew slowly louder, but as it was practically full daylight now, one couldn’t see the lights flashing against buildings as they neared. “Get on your knees and put your hands on your head, all of you. I already called the cops.”
Evren flinched in fear at the gunshot and reverted his form to the gaunt, raven-haired young man he’d appeared as when he found Aava a few hours ago. His clothes were torn due to the inhuman transformation; the seams of his sweatpants were torn nearly all the way down each leg, a few errant strands barely keeping them on his legs. His jacket had been discarded entirely when they attacked Josuke, leaving him in a second-hand white tee shirt with newly ripped sleeves and a long tear at the collar. His eyes were filled with an almost childlike fear as his eyes met Beck, who looked confused but then was quickly more or less keen to what had happened leading to this. She was familiar with Evren’s eating habits. Realizing he wouldn’t try to attack or run away, although she was curious who this nude woman was, Beck kept the gun pointed primarily at Hayato but kept the other two in it’s line as she walked a careful, close perimeter around them.
Evren obeyed the instruction, kneeling a few inches from Aava and weaving his fingers together behind his head. He cast a worried look to his friend. ”(Get up and sit like this,)” he advised quietly. ”(Like me. Just like me.”)

The werewolf was hit in the face by the water that sent him landing on his ass, Slowly getting up onto his feet and wiping himself off before snarling at them. Some splashes of water was not going to stop him form attacking the murderers, He was once again about to attack them but was interrupted by a human that was pointing a weapon at him. Turning to face him growling at him not wanting to be interrupted by some hunter wanting to play hero. His ears pointing to the left hearing the faint sound of police sirens, He did not like the situation that was coming.

Looking over towards the two murderers with a teeth filled smile, "I will find you" It spoke in a low and dark sounding voice before turning back into a human.

Getting on his knees thinking up some story for the cops that some armed person stripped him and walked him a few miles into then forest to kill him. Unless they knew about the supernatural then his excuse would be that he was casing after some vampires that killed his friend.

Aava

@Kinjaav@Eviledd1984

Aava had little to no clue what was going on. Things were happening in a blur: there was a new person there, shouting and pointing something at them. Whatever it was, both Evren and the monster creature seemed to fear it. Aava looked at Evren, confused.
Sit? Why?
Aava observed as Evren demonstrated the position she wanted Aava to take. The näkki didn't follow, staring at Evren confusedly, until the man spoke again. 'Like me. Just like me.'
Aava nodded at her friend, mimicking the position slowly. Her breathing became more shallow as the sense of danger was settling into her - it seemed that they had gone from one threat to another. Aava trusted her friend to know what was happening even when things didn't mostly make sense to her.
In the distance there were strange noises. Aava was startled by them, looking at Evren with confusion and fear in her large eyes. She felt so... Exposed, sitting there without water or anything to cover her. On top of that she had no idea what was happening.
Glancing back at the woman with the weird object pointed at them, Aava swallowed and looked at herself from the shaky reflection of a puddle she'd created on the ground. She looked... Very human, actually. Her visage was more fleshed out and soft unlike her earlier hollow, bony appearance. Only her sharp teeth and weird hair remained to remaind her she was indeed not one of the land dwellers. The water and hefty meal from before had certainly helped her gain more of a healthy appearance, and it would certainly help if she was to be in danger amongst the humans.

To Beck’s surprise, the police cruiser wasn’t alone when it pulled up to the scene; a state trooper was tagging along behind them. Two unremarkable beat cops exited the cruiser, one quite young and freckled and the other portly and mustached. From the Massachusetts State Police vehicle emerged a somewhat short woman with short ginger curls peeking out from under her campaign-style officers hat. On each side of her collar were two silver insignias; silver double bars where buttons might be on a formal mens shirt. She took a quick inventory of the scene and took something from behind the driver seat before closing the door. The younger male officer kept a hand on his weapon and approached Hayato from behind, not trying to be at all stealthy but certainly trying to be calm and avoid escalating the situation. The older cop hung back by the cruiser, warily eyeing the situation. ”Do you have any weapons on you, sir?” He met the Yakuza’s eyes easily, maybe brashly, keeping his hands conspicuously at his hips in a faux laid-back manner, gun and taser easily in his reach with a flick of his wrist should Hayato give him any trouble.
As soon as both vehicles parked Beck put holstered her gun and maintained a good distance from the werewolf, who was closer to the officers’ cars than he was to hers. She looked to the female trooper and spoke. ”Camera is still recording on the dash if you need to take it.”
”Could you get that?” The trooper requested. Beck gave a short nod and returned to her vehicle. The woman took a few long strides toward Evren and Aava, stopping just in front of them. The headlights gave her a harsh half-lit look, a bit eerie as she stooped in front of the girl with green hair and drying blood on her face and body. She handed Aava a small fleecy blanket to cover herself. ”I’m Detective Lieutenant Sheridan Merit. Can you tell me what happened here tonight?”
Evren had kept his eyes down, trying not to attract attention, but was shocked when he realized this person wanted to talk to Aava. ”P-please, she can’t speak English and she’s very ill.” he plead. ”We just want to go home.”
Lieutenant Merit nodded curtly. ”We’ll make sure you get home safely. Can you sit tight while we check things out?”
Evren sucked his lips in nervously as Merit observed them in discerning silence. He turned his attention to Aava, relaxing his posture and lowering his arms. ”(You can wrap yourself in that cloth. They’re soldiers, but they have to make careful decisions and need us to be quiet. I’ll keep you safe, okay?”

"I have no weapons on me" Hayato spoke having his hands behind his head, Looking up at the police officer that was coming behind him. Having a plan in mind of how he would get out of his situation. All he knew was not to rat out anyone or say anything that could get him killed or demoted in the Yazuka. "These bastards killed my young friend while he was leaving the bar, We we're having a some beers and caught up. I chased them into the forest and well they attacked me enough that my clothes ripped away leaving me in my jock" He said trying to explain himself.

He was not going to tell them any more, And if they knew about the supernatural then he would tell them the same story since the context of his chase was the same.

Aava

@Kinjaav@Eviledd1984

Aava stared at the strange man talking to her, guard rising as something was given at her. A blanket. Aava hissed quietly before calming down again when she heard Evren's voice talking.
Friend protects me. I protect friend.
Aava complied when Evren prompted her to wrap the cloth around her. It felt strange, kind of warm and coarse against Aava's skin. It was uncomfortable and... Yup, it tasted bad. Aava dropped the hem of the cloth from her mouth with a small spit. Still, the blanket brought some vague memories to Aava, a primal sense of comfort and home. Although the näkki lived in cool waters, something about the warmth of the blanket stirred distant memories in her.
...Äiti. ('Mother')
"Miss, can you answer a couple questions for us?" the same man turned back to Aava again. Aava glanced at Evren with big, questioning eyes, but the man interrupted her thought: "Miss, we need to know if this man has hurt you. Do you know him?"
Aava looked at Evren with big eyes, trying to comprehend the language while she shuddered.
"Evren... Ystäväni," Aava tried. The man frowned.
"We can't understand you, miss. Do you understand English? Do you know this man?"

The officer gave Hayato a bit of an odd look; the man was near nude, but didn’t look injured. Certainly didn’t look like he’d been attacked. From the police cruiser the radio chattered out an update about a young man who’d been shot in the head and found in an empty lot, but the older cop silenced it and walked over to join his partner.
“Killed your friend?” He asked, intrigued. “What bar were you at?”
The younger man seemed to tense some and interjected. “What’s your name, sir? I don’t suppose you have any ID on you.”

“She can’t speak English!” Evren explained again, frustrated with the lieutenant. He could see Aava was getting nervous, as if pleading for help she couldn’t articulate a need for. “Please. I’m her friend and I can communicate with her; she’s hurt and… very ill, and I just want to take her home.”
“I only want to help you do just that. How did your friend get hurt?” Detective Lieutenant Merit seemed to finally understand Aava was noncommunicative, but one way or another she wanted answers. Evren took a timid moment to answer her.
“The wolf chased us out of town. I carried Aava, and he threw a rock and practically knocked her out.” He looked beyond the detective for just a moment to stare daggers at Hayato. If the yakuza man wanted to kill him, so be it; but Aava didn’t even understand what was going on. From his perspective, Hayato had no right to harm Aava, and thinking about this quelled his anger and grounded him again with concern for his friend. He opened his mouth to speak again but was interrupted when Beck returned and gave the detective her camera.
Sheridan Merit stood up and took the camera, playing back the footage. An incredibly tense, nearly silent minute passed as she watched with careful eyes, until a muffled gunshot and Beck yelling marked the end of the video. She sighed and looked from the pair on the ground, to Hayato and the beat cops, and finally back to Beck and handed back the camera.
“You know we need to take this in as evidence?”
“Yeah yeah, I’ll take the SD card out.”
“What about us??” Evren asked, not sounding as calm as he’d have liked. The mention of anything being ‘taken in’ made him uneasy. He took Aava’s hand in his and tried to pull her a bit closer. “If you’re taking us anywhere… just take her to a hospital. He hit her in the head.”
Lieutenant Merit took the SD card from Beck, who pocketed her camera. ”I saw that, but I don’t think we’re done.” she directed her attention to the cops. ”Booth, Holt, cuff both the men. I’ve seen all I need to see here.”

Hayato Nijimura

"I was at a bar called McLaughlin, My name is Hayato. Sorry my id is in my other pants" He answered the police officer laughing softly now not wanting to answer anything further until he his lawyer was present. Having his hands cuffed staring back at Evren with a strange smile on his face, He was going to enjoy ripping out his eyes and eating the girl's brains of course that would be when he would escape or leave. For now the revenge can wait as he needed a way out of police custody and speak with his boss about what happened.

He hoped the the Yazuka's lawyer could get him out of this mess, Because if not then he would be at their mercy. Which would be something he would dread, If the latter happened then he would be at their beck and call doing whatever they ask so his sentence could be shorten. However he would have to hold out not letting the cops know about his and his group's illegal activities.

Aava

@Kinjaav@Eviledd1984

Aava stared a Evren, wrapping the cloth tighter around her body which was starting to shiver slightly. This was a weird, new sensation for Aava who was so accustomed to cold. Maybe it had something to do with being dry on land?
As the näkki held her friend's hand, she scooted closer to find safety. Evren was talking with the other humans, sounding like he was trying to convince them of something, negociate, or something. Aava buried her shivering chin into the blanket and and tried to wipe the dried blood off of her chin.
"(Can we eat them too, Evren?)" Aava inquired curiously. Just as she asked, however, a human came over with something in their hands. Soon Evren's hands were pried away from Aava's, and the person cuffed Evren. Aava looked up, confused, trying to reach out for Evren again.
"(What's happening? What's going on?)" Aava tried asking Evren, looking around to see the same thing was happening to the wolf man. Aava stood up and tried to pry the police's hands off of her friend, only to be told some words she couldn't comprehend.

The younger cop cuffed Hayato and stonily read him his rights, leading him over to the cruiser until the detective called out another order.
"No, Holt; put him in my vehicle. You two take the other."
Holt nodded tersely and pushed the werewolf into the detective's duotone Crown Vic. Dutifully, Booth marched over to the pair on the ground and pulled Evren to his feet and cuffed him. He largely ignored Aava's grabs and protests, brushing her aside quite easily as Evren froze in panic and began pleading with the officer. "Let me go! She needs me, and I need her! You don't know anything about her!"
Sheridan stepped between Aava and the apprehended vampire to keep her from interfering further, when Beck approached her and cautiously touched her shoulder. "Sher, this kid can't speak any English and the only person she knows is getting arrested. Let him talk to her, and I'll take her to the hospital and keep an eye on her. You know she can't afford the ambulance anyway, and you don't want to wait around for one."
"Do you know these two?" The detective gave her a suspicious look.
"Not the girl, no, but I've interviewed this guy before. I don't... he's not a bad guy, Sher. That's my word."
The detective mulled this over for a few seconds, looking a bit doubtful of the pleading vigilante, but finally sighed and turned her attention to Booth. "Let him calm her down. I'm taking the other one back to the station." She cast a stern glare at her subordinates and turned on her heel to return to her car, sitting in the driver's seat and keeping a wary eye on the situation she was leaving behind. The detective started the car and reversed back onto the road, and drove into town toward the police station.
Booth relaxed his grip on Evren somewhat, who looked wildly at those around him before his eyes settled on Aava. "Aava..." he gasped out the syllables like it was an involuntary action, vacillating from icy panic to a desperate sort of sadness as he caught his breath. "(They won't hurt us, I swear. I'll come back to you. Go with Hannelore, this woman, she's a friend. Do not hunt, do not eat any of these mortals; we aren't so powerful here, if we hunt again they'll kill us both.)"
Evren trailed off just slightly and broke eye contact, choking back tears of shame over the situation he'd put them in. His attention snapped back to the näkki as telltale tears formed at the corners of his eyes. "(I'll come back for you, I'm not going to abandon you again. Do you understand?)"

Detective Merit glanced at Hayato in her rearview mirror. Even the most hardened were softened somewhat behind the bulletproof divider in the vehicle. "Interesting tattoos." she remarked cooly, returning her gaze to the quiet cobblestone streets. The streetlights had just turned off, leaving the world dim and blue in the rising dawn.

Aava

@Kinjaav

Aava didn't understand. Why was Evren leaving? Were they making him go? Aava locked her eyes with Evren's, panic rising in her gut as she felt like the one thing that made sense was being taken away from her. The wind picked up for a second, and Aava felt another unfamiliar shiver as her skin dried. Evren spoke her name, then, adressing the next words to her in a language she could understand fully.
Aava listened to the best of her ability, looking at the dark skinned woman Evren was talking about as he mentioned her. Aava's brow furrowed in a pained look, but she nodded, trusting in her friend.
"(Woman is a friend, don't hurt the prey. I... I understand)," Aava repeated even though her voice carried a note of uncertainity. The näkki watched miserably as Evren was being taken away, his eyes sheen with unshed tears. Aava - despite being told not to - reached out again, trying to go to Evren. She was stopped, but her hand remained outstretched as she stared at Evren with a confused sadness in her eyes. A salty teardrop extracted from the man's eye, travelling the air until it hovered on Aava's palm. The näkki looked at it with lost eyes, glancing at Evren one last time.
"(You'll come back to me. Promise)," she rasped, closing her fist agains the teardrop and turning to face the woman Evren had told her to trust.
Aava's instinct was to bite the woman, to sink her teeth into her flesh, but she remembered her friend's instructions and refrained from doing so. If Evren said this woman was his friend, then she would be Aava's friend too. Well, as long as she didn't do anything to upset Aava, that was.

The older man was brought into the cruiser, Stopping for a moment to pick up what looked like cheap sunglasses which he puts on his face. Smiling at Evren before being hulled into the back of the cruiser. Sitting in the back of the car, Looking up at the beat cop with a big smile on his face. "Thank you" He said with the tattoo on his chest being a rising sun being eaten by a snake, On his stomach was Japanese characters or Japanese designs. On his shoulders, and arms were the same Japanese designs.

Looking out of the window and watching the two being moved along with the police, Wanting to just skip this whole police ordeal and get to murdering the two. Looking at the beat cop so his face was visible form the rear view mirror, Waving at him still with the cuffs on in a mocking manner.

Beck watched in quiet disbelief as Aava seemed to 'take' Evren's tears. She thought she'd seen something earlier, but now it was right in front of her. Officer Booth didn't seem to notice, more focused on keeping a firm grip on Evren and trying to ignore the taunting wave from the tattooed man as he was taken away by the lieutenant detective. She'd heard of elemental powers, mostly from old Orloks with a yarn to spin... like Evren.
Like a bolt of lightning had hit her she recalled a story he'd told her about a Finnish woman who lived in a lake; she thought he was lying or hallucinating, all of it sounded so ridiculous when she recorded the interview that she thought about wiping the tape afterward. Oddly she'd imagined a mermaid or something, Evren had described her as being like a fish and she didn't really know what that meant at the time. Metaphors from a thousand-year-old recluse sometimes didn't always ring true with the twenty-two year old veteran. Was this algal-haired little creature really the cannibalistic water woman Evren had told her about?
She suddenly had some reservations about letting her in the Volkswagen, but it was a little late for that. She didn't always trust Evren; he was very weird, a bit histrionic, and was very irresponsible about keeping fed. He was usually so starved that he couldn't think straight, and would go on like that until he would black out and end up killing someone without even knowing it. There was a time when she feared she'd be next, but it didn't take long to realize he wasn't much a match for anyone.
"Hannelore," Evren spoke, interrupting her thoughts. "... thank you. For everything."
She kept her expression neutral but nodded. It wasn't about Evren, not for Beck. It was about experience, knowledge, and helping anyone she could. "It's not a favor."
Evren seemed like he might respond to that, but the officers were getting impatient. He pulled him a few steps back, and lead him to the cruiser. "Time's up, sorry."
"Minun vesililja! Lupaan! Lupaan!" He called hurriedly as Booth forced him into the back of the cop car. Beck put a hand on Aava's shoulder, just in case she made a mad dash after him. The vampire stared helplessly at them as the car revved to life and took him away into the town, disappearing down the cobblestone road.
"My car is over here." Beck tried to gently lead Aava to the van, careful not to be forceful or evoke the kind of behavior she'd just watched Evren be subjected to. She opened the passenger door and held it, waiting for her to get in.

The detective drummed her fingers once across the steering wheel. "Reminds me of some folks I knew in Boston." she added, a bit thoughtful. Apparently bored with Hayato she picked up her radio to let the station know what was going on. "State unit 19 inbound with male suspect in custody following altercation on Hutter Way. Local unit 22 following with second male suspect. Female at scene released to a neighbor."
"Released to a neighbor?" a male voice crackled back.
"Noncommunicative, injured, neighbor took her to the hospital. Another unit can catch up with her later, if we need witness testimony or anyone presses charges. Altercation was caught on video." Sheridan replied, effortlessly glossing over the policy violations she'd made and distracting the other party with the good fortune of having a recording of the crime. There was a brief pause before the person on the other end gave a pleased 'over and out,' and the detective replied in kind before silencing the radio.

Aava

@Kinjaav

As Evren shouted out his last promises and was being dragged away, an eager Aava attempted once again to chase after him, only to be stopped by a gentle yet firm hand on her bare shoulder. The cloth she'd been given had started to slip off her like a loose towel, but the näkki didn't seem to care or notice.
Aava turned to look at the woman who Evren had told her to trust - someone he'd called "Hannelore" - with doubtful eyes, her softly drying hair slightly obscuring the view. The woman spoke something in that language that Evren and everyone else here seemed to be using. Aava only understood the word "my", and everything else seemed to completely escape her mind. Still, she understood she was being guided somewhere, so she followed with dragging footsteps.
They soon reached a weird, metallic thing Aava was completely unfamiliar with. The näkki ogled the structure with near shocked expression, her big eyes blinking curiously at the woman who opened a part of the wheeled box, motioning Aava to mount it.
Aava tiptoed closer to the metallic vehicle, gaze wandering along the surface of the car. A slender hand came up to skim along the edge of the door, feeling the cold, odd surface under its fingertips. Aava didn't climb in, seeming suspicious and confused, coming close to sniff the metal curiously before experimentally licking it.
"Ggrgrgrggggkkkhhh..." Aava gurgled with a dissatisfied frown, spitting the taste of rusty iron from her mouth. Yuck.
Looking at the woman again for a moment long enough to turn weird, Aava finally entered the van, keeping her stance defensive and guarded up.
