No problem. Questions are always welcome here. Makes you smart. Well unless the question is how to look at the sky with a hat covering your eyes when your not blind. That just makes you look silly.
Bio: John Scottsfield was a pretty normal kid. His childhood was alright. His parents provided for him, but his life changed drastically, on September 11, 2001. When planes crashed into the twin towers. The blatant terrorist attack on American soil started the war on terror. John's father was in the first tower and was killed. His body was never recovered. In retaliation, John Scottsfield joined the United States Marine Corps. He was placed into Force Recon and deployed to the middle east. He served for six years, before hearing that his mother had killed herself over grief. So, he resigned from the Marines and moved back to the states to look after his younger brother. He struggled to adapt to civilian life, missing the rush of combat. So, he applied to join the police force. He got into SWAT. While it wasn't hunting terrorists across the middle east, it was better than a desk job. He became one of the best SWAT agents and started making a name for himself. Which ended up being his downfall. He pissed off some mob boss. Who rigged his car to explode. Now the victim of a car bombing, John Scottsfield was barely alive. In a medically induced coma, hooked up to life support to keep him alive. One of John's buddy from his time in the military had gone into the private sector after leaving the military and was working for a questionably legal tech company. After hearing about John's accident, he pulled some strings and got John accepted into an experimental program. John was rebuilt. The exact specifics behind it were shady at best. The company used the latest in technology and even some dark magic to turn him into a soldier again. They never really told him what they did to him, but he was in and out of consciousness for some of it. He vaguely remembers a massive firey figure touching his heart but when he spoke about it, they just told, that some of the drugs may have caused hallucinations during the procedure. Now he is a cyborg, that kills for money. Skills: John Scottsfield's style of combat is based heavily around heavy firepower. He has a pretty basic hand to hand combat, preferring to utilise his gadgets and implants to turn the tide in battle, as opposed to learning fancy kung fu techniques. John is a pretty good shot and is very good at breaching rooms. Contrary to most assassins, he works like a sledgehammer, as opposed to a scalpel. You want the job done quiet, pick someone else, but if you want your target to see their death coming, and make an example of them, then John is the guy for you. Weapons, Gadgets, Tools & implants:
The Kiara Rifle is a combination weapon that is both a rifle and a shotgun. It has single and auto setting for both.
The P6D 7.5MM CDD COMBAT PISTOL has four firing modes. Single shot, 1-2 Burst, 1+2 Discharge, Auto. Each one comes equipped with a Range Finder, Laser Sight & Camera. John typically dual wields these.
The communications array was built by the company that turned John into a cyborg. It is a wrist-mounted unit that can use basically any form of modern communications technology. Allowing him to listen in on nearly any transmitted data.
This pocket pistol is small enough that John always has it in his pocket. It is his back up weapon, in that it only holds two shots. He also keeps one in his left boot.
Has several flash bang pellets in his belt and jacket pockets to disorientate and confuse opponents (Unless said opponent is Hellen Keller).
A knife hidden in his right boot.
A wrist-mounted grapple gun mounted on his right wrist, for speedy escapes, or last-ditch attacks.
For defence. It houses his grapple launcher, similar to the Numenorean Gauntlet for Desolation of mordor.
Several Powerheads attached to knife handles, for close quarters combat.
Visor over left eye protects against flashbangs.
The visor applies a heads up display to John's field of vision.
Has a wireless modem so he always has wifi.
Life support, like a lot of life support, to keep him alive.
A cerebral control module, that allows John to control certain technology with his mind.
Carbon fibre muscle replacements. Making John strong enough to lift small cars and bend metal, fast enough to move at/beyond the highway speed limit, durable enough to withstand being thrown off tall buildings.
They are no "Overpowered Vampire Goddess" or shadow jumping assassin, but I think he might just fit in. I mean, magic wasn't a thing in this roleplay, until it was, so why not do the same with technology? Plus Cyborgs are pretty cool.
@Sanity43217 yeah they are also since your guy was part of MARSOC maybe he met m guy at one point since he was part of MARSOC to before he joined grey fox

If I get accepted, your character would be a little young to know my character. He may have heard about him from some of the older/more experienced soldiers during his service, so they might have mutual friends, but considering my character joined in 2001 and served for six years during the war on terror, he would have gotten out in 2007. Twelve years ago. Since your character is 24, that would ave made hhim twelve when John left the service. So, in conclusion, your character wouldn't have directly met him, but his commanding officers may have served with him, and tell stories of cray shit they did together during training or service.
@Sanity43217yeah but there is a Special Operations Capabilities Specialist which a sniper or infantry would be under for the marine raiders ,formerly marine recon there is Combat Service Support which is the vehicles and drivers then there is the Critical Skills Operator or Special Operations Officer and they are the CO's of the group
