[IC] The Rise of the Guardian

Scarlet nodded and said “that could work. I have funds for it. It wouldn’t be hard. And means we have a safe haven under attack.” They walked into the dining hall as Ash smiled at Carth.

“Really I’m alright Carth, just tired…”

"Then we get it as soon as possible and head out soon after." He looked to around the dining hall.

Carth nods but still doesn't think she is okay. But let's her be. He makes his way toward a table and sits down. Altoron helps Scarlet to the table and helps assist her if need be.

Scarlet smiled at him and sat down carefully as Ash sat down the rubbed her temples. “We can get a wagon so we can travel while I’m recovering. And it would help with supplies…”

Ash nodded and muttered “sounds good…”

Carth smiles at Scarlet liking the idea. "Sounds like a plan." Altoron walks away from the table and goes to grab each of them something to eat. He encounters Maltoran and Kanarus in line and gets their help with their plates. When the trio comes to the table balancing food and drinks, setting infront of each of them. Altoron sits next to Scarlet as does Kanarus on the other side of her. Maltoran sits next to Carth.

Carth thanks them before digging in, happy with what he was given and eating like he had been starved.

Ash sighed and started eating slowly and kept her eyes closed. Scarlet frowned and looked at the others then said “anyone see the doc? I wonder if his going to join us or not…”

[Jazz]

Carth was busy stuffing his face, more hungry than he had originally thought. Altoron hadn't thought about Orion attempt to join them to eat. "He may be busy." Altoron guessed.

Kanarus wondered himself but continued to eat anyway. He looked at Ash to see how she was doing.

Ash wasn’t eating now and rubbing her eyes, a headache forming as Scalret said “I was hoping he wanted to come with us on the mission but…”

[Jazz]

"He may or may not. He has time before that decision is to be made." Maltoran said. Altoron nodded in agreement.

Kanarus looked concerned. "Ash? You okay?" Carth paused as he looked at her as well.

Ash nodded softly and said “just a headache that’s all…sleep wasn’t great last night so…I guess it’s from that…” scarlet frowned and moved to take Ashs hand. “Ash…is it like before on the road?” Ash sighed then nodded softly. “Every time…” scarlet looked at the others and said “she keeps getting these pains when either one of those things are nearby or…she feels like something is watching her…”

Carth lowered his gaze and seemed to be in his own thoughts. Kanarus was quite surprised by the explanation. Altoron and Maltoran looked at each other before looking back to Ash. It seemed to make sense for them. "Then we should inform the one in charge here. If there is to be another attack, than we should be ready. We are not quite prepared to leave." Maltoran stated.

Carth stayed silent. He wasn't sure if he was ready to try and be part of the fight just yet. He wasn't sure what the beast within would do if he were to take on such a task with them.

Ash looked up and said “I don’t think it’s attack. I think it’s the latter…that someone is using magic to look for me again…”

[Jazz]

Kanarus suddenly had an idea. "If someone is watching you through magic, then block them with magic." He states. "Make a mental image of your element. Make it in a way that would be hard to see."

Ash looked at him for a moment then closed her eyes and focused on her wind and air and tried to make a wall in her mind. Scarlet watched her carefully and said softly “think it will work?”

[Jazz]

Kanarus watched Ash carefully before moving over Ash's side. He placed his hand on her shoulder and closing his eyes. With practiced ease, gave Ash some of his Elemental energy since they were the same element. He would let her have what she needed. Maltoran was going to stop him but Altoron stopped him by putting a hand on his shoulder and shaking his head.

Ash was able to make the barrier easier now, but the young assassin would be able to sense a lot more of the ranger. Like this was a second element for her.

Scarlet said “it’s working. I need to learn how to do that “

[Jazz]

Kanarus noted what he noticed but smiled when he opened his eyes. "I'd be happy to teach you." He releases her shoulder and takes a deep breath. "I give it a bit of concentration and it hopefully make them give up. With that though, I need a nap. Giving elemental energy will take a toll and makes one really tired." Kanarus grabs his plate and slowly gets up. He goes slowly to their room to rest. Altoron sighed.

Ash nodded and said “it’s helping with the headache too…I wonder if it’s a warning sign that I just don’t know” scsrlet nodded and said “could be. Would make sense. Could be all signs”

"Guess we may find out based on our length of stay till we get supplies and a wagon together." Maltoran explains. He figured his brother to be alright. He was an expert in transference of Elemental energy, but in sharing the price was exhaustion to a nap.

Ash nodded and said “and see if that Doctor plans on joining us or not…then we need to see where these monsters are coming from…”

[Jazz]

The assassins agreed as did Carth, nodding. He seemed to have his mind preoccupied. He looked upon the group before standing up with his empty tray in hand. I'm gonna go check out the training grounds. I'll uh....I'll be back to the rooms later..." He then walks away in a haste.

Altoron watches Carth with interest though seems in thought himself. He could see that something was bothering the boy, though what it could be he was not sure himself but did have a theory.
