Wheee I know there's alot of bad juju around posting a WIP but I'm gonna do it anyway.
Alli is my peppy young hiker photographer chick. I need to finish her inventories and flesh some stuff out but hopefully it's a good guideline of where I'm going with her

Alli's version is a mix of two greens and a reddish pink in a watermelon theme. Digital Watch - Right Wrist Bright teal-blue worn on the inside of her right wrist. Has access to a timer function / laps, alarm, day of the week/month, and can work underwater up to a depth of 100m. Camera on neck chord Middle of the road camera and Alli's most beloved possession. It's at 80% battery right now. Left Hoodie Pocket - Squished Energy Bars Energy bars for hiking, squished into an untrustworthy mess, but still good eating. She has two left and one half eaten for later. The half eaten one has collected a marginal amount of lint. Left Hoodie Pocket - Squished Bag of trail mix Protein trail mix for hiking, carefully rolled up and then squished into an untrustworthy mess, but still good eating once bag has been unrolled. She has half a packet left, mysteriously devoid of her favourites. Miraculously lint-free. Right Hoodie Pocket -Brightly coloured Candy Wrappers You're not allowed to look at these, as they are proof of Alli's guilty love of gross old people hard candy. No one must know. No one. Right Hoodie Pocket - Glucose Tablets Relegated to the less desirable hoodie pocket, Alli no longer trusts these glucose tablets. She has four left in the foil packet, long devoid of label. They are reserved only for emergencies, or if you get bored of trail mix. Alli went through a phase of popping these before a hike and annoying her climbing buddies before the actual exercise kicked in. One in each pocket so she constantly has to search through her pockets to find them - Spare portable chargers (3) These are compatible with her phone and her camera. Two of them are fully charged for the trip, one was left forgotten about in her hoodie pocket and only has two bars left. Each holds about five hours charge at max capacity. Right Hoodie Pocket - Red Swiss Army Knife Engraved (wonkily) with Alli's name, a gift from her grandpa for her 18th birthday. It has a large and small blade, can opener, emery board, corkscrew, bottle opener, two screwdrivers (3 and 6mm), wire stripper, small scissors, small multipurpose hook, reamer punch and sewing awl, tweezers, small wood saw and a keyring. This sounds super useful and great, but because it's such a small model Alli has to spend at least 10 minutes trying to pry the intended part out if it's in the middle (anything bar the can opener or small blade) and it's nearly guaranteed to end in a discomforting contact injury that will smart for a while, though not enough to break the skin. Because of this unfortunate feature, Alli doesn't use most of the parts, and so she constantly forgets what this thing is actually capable of. As far as she's concerned it's a glorified penknife with a few extra features - if she remembers. Trouser Pockets - Potentially Sentient Mysterious Pocket Fluff How did this pocket fluff get here? How long has it been present? Why is there so much of it? Is it alive? These questions and more surround the mystery that is the fluff that lives in Alli's pockets. In another dimension, wizards may use this spell component to destroy whole worlds. This may be last on the list, but Max Slots: 10 Top Pocket - Phone Item description Top Pocket - Purse Item description 3 Place - Emergency Foil Blanket Item description 4 Place - Book A scraggly old paperback Alli will never finish reading. Alli does not read. Why does she have this book? Well, she's going to finish it, of course. This book has been in the process of being read for three years. It looks exactly how you expect it to look, having spent it's life dejectedly inside the depths of Alli's backpacks. She no longer even remembers the title, but will be horrified to find it's a gross pulp romance novel under the guise of a murder mystery. 5 Place - Whistle Compass Combo Alli has this for the sake of having it. Why have a whistle or compass when you can just use your phone? It looks nifty that's why. Well, it looks a horrific bright orange but Alli thinks it's cool to have in her head, despite the actual reality of it not being even slightly cool at all. 6 Place - Trangia Set of Cooking stuff Item description 7 Place - Trangia Set of Cooking utensils Spork, tiny bowl 8 Place - Food in foil packets Are you really surprised by now about the amount of food Alli carries with her when going hiking? This food can be heated up in a Trangia and Alli swears it's actually edible if you screw your eyes real tight and believe in fairies with all your heart. 9 Place - Half filled Fuel Bottle It's fuel for the Trangia. Alli is constantly aware of how flammable her backpack is with this clipped on. She gets a morbid kind of glee from this. Tied top of backpack - Bedroll It's a bedroll! For sleepytime. Someone else had the tent, Alli aint carrying that, it's basically her size. Her eyes crinkle up at the sides as it slowly spreads from one side to the other, and it always comes across as genuine. Her facial shape is a little on the angular side with a small button nose, and despite a pretty active lifestyle and a shorter height, Alli does come across as lanky, though she's usually drowning in oversize hoodies so it's hard to tell. Biography Alli grew up with an annoying younger brother, two parents, in a pretty okay home in a pretty okay neighbourhood. Her childhood was spent scraping knees, attending town events and girl scouts, hiking and hanging out with friends. It was happy in an everday kind of way, and there isn't much else to say about it, other then she started blogging and getting into photography when she was a teenager and continued that on into adulthood. She was a B-C student in school (with a few blips here and there) and that seemed to suit her just fine. Alli is a peppy, upbeat sort of gal, happy to get stuck into things and always marching forward. She likes a challenge, and is far more likely to take action rather then overthink things, though that isn't to say she is devoid of caution. She's pretty laid back and doesn't find much enjoyment in talking about deeper subjects, but she doesn't suffer posers much lightly either, which could be considered somewhat hypocritical. Alli likes to blog and her upbeat peppy energy gets turned up to 11 in front of the camera. |
